Anchoring stake bent on first use

Unfortunately, not the desired quality. Our dog bent it on the first use.

Great everyday helper, indispensable for trips

Great piece! Much heavier and of higher quality than I expected for the price. It holds my two dogs (17 and 20kg) without any issues. Of course, you need to screw it into solid ground, but even at the beach, it holds very well if you push aside the loose top layer of sand. So, the stake itself is flawless; if it doesn’t hold, it’s simply down to the wrong type of ground. But the stake is so long and sturdy that I’ve always managed to screw it in securely so far.

Super practical

I use the tether stake on the meadow. It twists into the ground without any issues and stays firmly in place, even when my dog suddenly tries to pull towards another dog.

Low traction on the beach

Overall, the stake makes a very good impression. The tip is protected by a small cover to prevent injuries. The handle allows the stake to be easily twisted into the ground, and the attachment ring rotates around the stake; very good. We primarily bought it for the beach, but unfortunately, it occasionally lost its grip when our 7-month-old Dalmatian puppy tried to run off somewhere with momentum.

Helpful

Great for training and playing when the dog doesn’t listen yet. Could be a bit thicker.

Does what it’s supposed to.

We mainly use it for camping, but it’s also been used in the garden. So far, the stake has done exactly what it’s supposed to do—stop our 20-kg Labrador mix from running off when we take our eyes off him for a moment.

Hook is sturdy, ring holds (for now).

The hook itself is very sturdy and can be screwed into solid ground with ease. However, the ring where the leash is attached doesn’t seem quite as robust. So far, though, it has managed to hold both without any issues, even under tougher test conditions. In forest soil, grass, and earth, the anchor holds perfectly, but it’s useless in sand. For that, the coils would need to be wider, and the anchor approximately three times as long.

for my German Pinscher

Perfect if you just want to chill a bit and don’t always have to keep an eye on the lead :)

Not suitable for large dogs

We have a large breed Musnsterlander and have tried two of these, however he is so strong he simply bends them out of shape! Perhaps they would work for a smaller dog - but definate wouldn't reccomend for a big strong dog.

Tie-out stake

We bought the stake specifically for our holiday and were able to give our dog some "freedom" in the garden at the holiday home using the long lead, allowing him to move freely between the living room and the terrace as he pleased. Easy to screw in and just as easy to remove, super practical and definitely good value for the price.

Always with me when bathing.

We always take it with us when we go swimming, and we’re absolutely thrilled with it. I’ve got two Frenchies weighing a total of 30 kilos, and this thing holds up like a champ, even when both of them pull hard on the lead. That said, it’s worth mentioning that you’ll need a strong person to twist it into the ground!

Finally, it has moved in with us!

Since I’ve started tracking with my dog and he doesn’t want to sit still forever while I finish, and especially since I don’t have eyes in the back of my head to both lay the track and keep an eye on my dog, we got the tethering stake a few months ago. It’s solidly made, easy to screw into the ground and just as easy to unscrew again. It also seems very sturdy to me, though my dog isn’t a troublemaker and doesn’t try to break free ;) I can definitely recommend it!

Lightweight, handy, reliable

With a bit of effort, we've managed to get the tether stake into any type of ground since it was delivered. It stays put, even when the dog pulls hard on the lead! Highly recommended!

Also suitable for trampolines :-)

At first, I ordered a stake for our dog since our property isn’t fully fenced yet. It works great—the sturdy stake can be easily and deeply screwed into the ground. A small drawback: the ring intended for attaching the lead seems very flimsy, and the triangle (the handle for screwing it in) has a relatively large gap where the lead could slip through. We attached a thick chain to it and then simply hooked the lead onto the chain. Problem solved with minimal cost. Then we discovered that the stakes are also perfect for securing our daughter’s trampoline, which had been blown off the property during a storm. We attached a stake to each trampoline leg, secured it with chains, and it holds really well. So, it’s versatile and inexpensive—I’m thrilled!

Tip broke off

At first, I was absolutely thrilled. I was able to securely tether my dog to the unfenced holiday home property, allowing him to roam around while preventing him from constantly running in and out, which was usually his favourite pastime. However, when we removed the stake after the holiday (from firm, rocky ground), the tip was broken off, rendering the stake unusable. Such a shame.

The stake is also suitable for cats.

I bought the tether stake last year for my cat Filou, who isn’t an outdoor cat. This allowed me to give him a big piece of freedom in our garden. He also loves strolling through the garden. However, cats should never be left unsupervised.

Great idea, execution unsatisfactory

The idea is great. When I tried to screw the stake into the ground, the soil came up. Almost like a corkscrew! What kind of surface is this supposed to be used on? Sand – yes. Firmer soil or even a bit of rock in it is impossible. Such a shame, the purchase was pointless. Also, the stake needs to sit very deep in the ground because a Labrador is very strong :-))
