The Savic Dog Residence with Cushion is a robust mesh cage available in different sizes, ideal for a range of breeds and sizes of dog. The box is ideal as somewhere for your dog to stay on car journeys, or as a comfortable relaxation den from which your dog can watch the world go by. This mesh cage allows your dog to see out, so that it never feels isolated.
The Savic Dog Residence with Cushion is made from stable metal mesh and can be folded down to save space with just a few hand movements, ideal for when it is not in use. The Savic Dog Residence with Cushion is particularly versatile, as a safe space for your dog at home, of ruse when training puppies, or as a transport box. It can also be suitable as a space in which your dog can rest and recuperate after illness or operations.
Two removable handles make this Savic Dog Residence with Cushion particularly easy to transport. It has two doors on the front as well as doors on the side and top, depending on the size of crate you choose, making it easy for your dog to comfortably get in and out. At the base of the Savic Dog Residence with Cushion there is a stable plastic tray that can be removed to be cleaned. A matching cuddly-soft cushion is included with the crate. The cushion is easy to clean and can simply be machine washed at 30°C. It is important that your dog does not spend too long secured inside the cage, to ensure that it remains a positive space.

Note: Accustom your pet slowly and gently to temporary accommodation in the kennel. Start by allowing your pet to stay relaxed in the kennel with the door open. Only then accustom it to being placed in the closed kennel and extend the length of stay. The kennel should never be used as a punishment, as it should be a safe and positive place for your four-legged friend.

Rusty

Very disappointed with the quality of the cage, arrived today, open the end to remove it and the cage is rusty and the paint peeling. There appears to be no primer under the paint as you can see in the attached picture. Would be better just galvanized and not painted. Not even bothered getting it out of the box, returned for an exchange, see if the next one is any better

Disappointing Price!

I bought this product from here 8 months ago for £44.99. It is an excellent product. So much so that want to get another one to use elsewhere. However, when I come to reorder I note that the price has gone up £10 in 8 months!

Difficult to assemble. Puppies trip on the bottom. Paw caught on mechanism

This is not well made. I have purchased other models before this Savic one. The puppies have gotten their paws caught in the bottom wire upstand and squealed in pain in their rush to get out to toilet. On another occasion I closed the mechanism on my dogs paw as I was shorting it and she squealed in pain The cage was difficult to assemble, with the instructions deep inside the cage so they were unusable I have not had these issues with other brands. Waste of money

Sturdy and easy to assemble

Coated steel is very sturdy. The crate is well made, with no sharp edges and easy to assemble. The 90cm version is perfect for my Labrador- he’s a 5month pup but there’s plenty of growing room. The cushion included is a good liner.

76cm dog residence with cushion

This is the third Savic dog cage I have bought, the previous 2 are still looking great after over 10 yrs! They are very well made & extremely robust, I wouldn't buy any other make. I received my new cage within days of ordering it & was surprised to find that the finish of the cage has been changed to a light grey, instead of the plain metal finish on my previous ones. It looks lovely & with the grey cushion inside, it's perfect in my kitchen!

91x61x71 dog residence with cushion

I am delighted with this crate which is the only one available with the height so much greater than the depth, giving my Gordon Setter room to stand up, yet still fitting in our kitchen. It is well constructed, the catches easy to operate and the side door is massive. The cushion is well constructed and with vet bed on top, should survive my bed moving big puppy. One star dropped as the two side hooks at one end had to be forced home and will need similar force when dismantling for travel.

Best quality crate

I've had a 76cm one for my Cocker Spaniel since he was a pup, he's slept in it every night. I recently replaced it with a new one in the 107cm size, which is nice and spacious for him, and he loves his new quarters! These are the highest quality dog crates.

The best crate for dogs

I purchased this crate over 1 year ago for my Cairn terrior,he has used it most days to travel in the back of my hatchback.The door is very secure and the cage is very strongly made,as is the cushion.The only fault are the plastic handles which broke very soon,however i can still manage to lift it in & out of the car on a daily basis.If not for the handles i would have given 5 stars.As always delivery is very quick from Zooplus.

So pleased with the quality and size

Was so relieved to find this cage size for my puppy after my him growing larger than expected. I had two cages previously and none compared to this cage quality. The door catches can be a bit difficult but once it's closed it is secure. My dog loves his home. The bed isn't the most robust bed and I binned it after he chewed a hole but it did last a few weeks before he chewed it. I feel happy leaving him in his bed as he often takes himself in there when he wants peace from busy household. I enclose a photo of my puppy at 7 months after having had the cage a good 4 months so this review isn't a rushed one. There's no signs of rust or weakening joints. The plastic tray is very robust also. Very happy and would most definitely buy this home for him again. Thank you zooplus!
