The protective mat easily fastens onto the headrests with nylon straps and there are additional straps for attaching to the seat at the sides. There are also elastic bands with plastic washers, to help the seat cover rest securely on the back seat and the backrest. The backseat cover also features openings for the car seatbelts, so that you can strap your dog in once it is sitting on the seat cover. The Trixie Protective Car Mat also features reflective piping for added safety.

Waste of money
Easily adapted in the car, but after 3 hours driving the handles ripped off. I had to stop few times trying to fix it with cotton and needle.

Great sofa protector
My lab loves to lie on the sofa. This cover is great for protecting the material, and, being waterproof, when she's damp it isn't a problem. I am renewing the cover as this one is beginning to lose its backing after many months of service

Mixed Feelings
I was pleased to find a cover that fitted the width of the back seat of our Citroen Berlingo, but I'm not too sure about the material. Our old cover had a fabric feel to it with waterproof backing - this one is nylon and very slippery. I suspect that the dog (even when wearing his car safety harness) and blanket will slip off the seat into the space behind the front seats. The straps aren't in the right place for headrests, so a bit of fiddling was required to make it stay in place.

Fantastic car cover
We have a big GSD he has ripped so many car covers just getting into the car. The Trixi XXL has worked well for us (two straps broke on mine but I put some elastic on and repaired it). Had the cover now for over 4yrs

Not impressed
I brought this cover recently the second day after using one of the straps came un stitched now another has done the same thing.
Was going to send back for a replacement but it's hassle and an expense. Also wouldn't really want a replacement. As I think it will happen again. I would prob choose one that completely covered the sides. On plus side it was easy to fit and has a gap for seatbelt. Other items brought from zoo plus have been good.

After 4 months and it still looks new
Because of lots of some of the comments I took mine to get some newer, stronger fastening loops attached.
Since then I've used it almost daily.
It does what it says, is sturdy and even after 4 months looks great!

Worth it for the price
I moved the seats back in my Peugeot 106 to give the dogs more room - and this blanket is ingenious.
They both lay on their own blankets and didn't disturb me when I was driving.
It was easy to clean, but with 2 big dogs, I think it went over its limit. But the price makes up for that.

So far everythings been great =)
I bought this car mat for my Peugeot 207! At first I had a bit of a problem putting it together, but I figured it out!
It really does protect the car from dirt, especially in the last rainy spell.
