Product description

A complete dry cat food for adult indoor cats, with an adapted calorie content and designed to reduce hairballs and stool odour, as well as promoting dental hygiene and healthy urinary tract.

Indoor cats move significantly less than other cats who are free to roam around outside. This lack of movement can cause slower digestion, smelly stool and even weight gain and obesity.
This Royal Canin Indoor 27 Cat has been specially developed to meet the unique nutritional needs of indoor cats. It contains high-quality L.I.P. proteins from selected, easily digestible protein sources with high biological value. This helps to reduce stool intensity as well as odour.
Royal Canin Indoor 27 Cat also contains special nutritious fibres such as psyllium, which help to regulate the digestive system to ensure that swallowed hairs can move easily through the system, rather than causing your cat to vomit. Together with a moderate fat content, this contributes to your indoor cat maintaining an ideal bodyweight and thus being able to live a healthy life.

Royal Canin Indoor 27 Cat at a glance:

  • High-quality dry food for adult indoor cats up to 7 years old
Ideal daily support
This dry food has been specially developed for indoor cats, to support healthy digestion as well as weight maintenance.
Optimum nutritional form
The three-sided kibble pieces are easy for your cat to eat, promoting good jaw muscles and both dental and oral hygiene.

  • Reduces stool volume and odour: highly-digestible L.I.P. proteins with high biological value
  • Moderate fat content: contributes to an ideal weight
  • Minimises hairball build up: natural nutritious fibres to regulate digestion
  • Urinary tract health: adapted mineral content for an ideal pH value in the urine
  • Dental hygiene: sodium polyphosphate binds calcium in the mouth, reducing the build up of tartar
  • Natural immune strength: supported by an antioxidant complex with vitamin E

Royal Canin Quality Guarantee
All Royal Canin products undergo strict quality controls, in order to ensure your cat receives a premium quality food adapted to meet its individual nutritional needs and specific lifestyle. This means that Royal Canin offers your cat high-quality, balanced nutrition.

Mixed feeding - cleverly combined: the combination of wet and dry food takes on the positive aspects of each type of food. Wet food is particularly delicious for cats, offering vital nutrients and helping promote a high fluid intake for healthy kidneys and urinary tract. A single 100g pouch of wet food can meet half of your cat's daily fluid needs! Dry food satisfies natural feline behaviour, allowing it to eat small portions throughout the day. It helps support dental and gum health, as well as containing a high concentration of nutrients such as protein and fibre. Numerous studies have shown that feeding your cat a combination of wet and dry food can support your cat's nature and its health!

Feline Breed Nutrition – significant progress: in its cat food production, Royal Canin take into account all parameters which differentiate cats from each other: age, life style, special sensitivities etc. 10 years ago, Royal Canin added a new dimension to its vision of top performance: a product line exclusively for pure-bred cats. Feline Breed Nutrition is the only product line world-wide especially for pedigree cats.

Wish Id read the reviews
Bought a very small bag and my 2 cats seemed to like it so bought a 10kg bag trusting the brand and hoping it would help with weight loss for my older cat. They have been on a mix of it and their previous food (IAMS) for the first 2 weeks and now just this for the past 2 weeks. Almost immediately I noticed there box was smelling worse and had to change it more often. My older cat has been coughing/retching when she never did this before. It has become more frequent and her coat is duller.

Cat vomiting every day
My cats have eaten Royal Cainin their entire life. Sofar they have had no issues. Also I have given them different products from the brand and now one of my cats suddenly started vomiting every day! The other one managed to hold it in. First thought of course that the cat is sick and maybe old etc etc. Cat was checked - nothing found. Thought I will try another brand of food. After changing food brand the vomiting stopped from day one!!! Not one vomit for about a month now. Royal Canin...

Cat has had sickness since eating it
Sadly due to be discontinued I had to change our cats food. He’s never had stomach issues and since he’s been in this he’s been violently sick. Resulting in vets and a waste of a 10kg bag. I have since found other reviews about royal canine cat food. So disappointed

Great
We switched to this food after receiving free trial bags. The cat eats most of a bowl, and he usually far prefers wet food/meat. There is definitely less of an odor from his litter box too!

Do not buy
I have two cats first I wasn't sure why my cat have loose stool which never happened before. Another my cat sneakily eat this food only once and little bit, immediately he had same symptoms then I'm sure because of this. Trusted Royal Canin from they were kitten but this indoor cat food was so horrible. I should read other reviews before buy it.

Yummy
Despite the concerns over royal canin and grain content my indoor cat has always eaten this. I changed to Concept for Life for a while but she always comes back to this. Vet says she’s in great health and an ideal weight so I’d say it’s a good pet food.

Toxic Mess
If I could leave less than 1 star I would and I never leave reviews especially bad ones but I want other cat owners to avoid the same mistake. Both cats have been vomitting everyday from this all over the house multiple times a day. Ruined the carpet in 5 rooms and the hall ways. Royal canin really need suing for damages, that's how bad this cat food is. My mistake was not reading the reviews before purchasing, the accuracy of the 4 stars for this product are questionable to say the least.

Terrible food!
I started my cat on this after a recommendation from a work colleague. I wish I had never listened. After gradually introducing the food, as you should with all new foods, my cat started vomiting. At first I thought it may have been a hairball she was trying to get up, but she continued to vomit once a day for 2 weeks! As soon as I changed her food, the vomiting stopped! I wish I had read the online reviews before buying a 4kg bag of this food! Absolutely awful food!

Great food
My cats love this and thrive on it. They are Devon Rex and have sensitive tummies but they have been on this for six months and their coats look good and they are very healthy. They have access 24/7 to this with two wet feeds a day.

Bad for cats with sensitive stomachs
Caused explosive diarrhoea in one of my cats. Would not recommend and will not be buying again - disappointed as I've not had issues with other Royal Canin wet food but I'll be trying another brand of dry food. Waste of money!

Rubbish!
Would not recommend this brand to anyone. I have no idea why it is such an expensive brand when it is just as bad quality as whiskas, felix, gocat and many others. It’s basically just fillers and hardly any meat I’m assuming as it won’t even tell you a percentage and when cats are obligate carnivores it isn’t something that should be hidden. Was going to look into it for my indoor rescue but chose feringa dry and thrive wet instead as the ingredients are of much better quality

Totally toxic to cats
Gave it to our cat just once and it resulted in projectile vomiting all night. We literally thought she had eaten poison it was that bad! She's OK now thankfully (and refused to touch an other bite of it) but strongly advise against feeding this to a cat.
