Royal Canin Appetite Control Care is a dry cat food that has been created to help reduce the risk of weight gain, which can be a common problem for many cats, particularly after sterilisation. An optimum combination of soluble and insoluble fibres help to promote an early full feeling. Royal Canin Appetite Control Care also contains a moderate fat content and high protein content, which can help with maintenance of an ideal weight and lean muscle mass.

Royal Canin Appetite Control Care is a large-volume dry food that can help to maximise your cat’s full feeling without needing to increase the amount of food given. This food is also developed to contain tailored fat and calorie contents.

First signs that your cat is carrying too much weight:

Ribs: you  should be able to feel your cat's ribs, covered by just a small amount of fat. If you can't, your cat may be overweight.
Waist: Look at your cat from above. You should be able to see a tucked-in waist. If you can't, your cat may be overweight.
Abdomen: Does your cat have a hanging layer of fat instead of clearly visible "abdominal tuck"? If so, your cat might be overweight.
Spine: Gently run your and down your cat's spine. you should be able to feel it under a little layer of fat. If you can't, your cat may be overweight.

Does not control appetite

Tried this to try to stop my cat begging for food and to try manage her weight. Have used this for 2 months and has made no difference, she still begs for food.

Royal Canin Appetite Control Care

When I saw my cat vomit from this food, I thought it was a coincidence. But the problem happened again—she vomited whole, undigested pieces of food. I stopped using it and can't even imagine who I'd give a practically untouched package of Royal Canin Appetite Control Care to.

Made my cat sick

Every time we add a little bit of this food in to my cats regular food he vomits within 30 minutes. He has never been a fussy cat, very food motivated, and no other food has made him vomit before.

Cat loves it!

My cat was hungrier than normal

I will not be buying this again. My cat was even hungrier than normal. I will go back to buying regular cat food.

Made it worse!

I have been using this for a while now, and they are definitely more hungry. Beside the fact that these smell awful, strong cardboard smell, they absolutely love them (hence 2 stars), but instead of pacing themselves (I have 3 furkids) like they did with the other dry food, they gulp them down finishing everything immediately and not leaving anything for later, so they are hungry and nervous later. I'm throwing this away and switching back to for sterilised cats.

Don’t see any difference for begging

Consistently good

Have been feeding this appetite control food for years. Both cats really healthy on it, and optimal weight. They free feed and don't wolf it down but pace themselves throughout the day.

Cats love it and stops one of the begging

We have two cats first hardly used to eat now loved these biscuits and eats her portion morning and night in full and looks really healthy. Other cat used to beg all day for food was a really hungry cat, she is now happy on these gets feed am & pm and no begging/crying between. Both are really healthy and coats look amazing.

Not appetite suppressing

Hi, I bought this as I thought it might help my overweight cat lose some weight but it seemed to make both my cats more hungry! I suspect this food tastes great as they always wanted more! It's worth noting that my cat put on more weight when we switched to this food despite us measuring the amount we were giving him so I think this food is higher in calories than some other foods. I've since switched to a food for "neutered cats" and my overweight cat has lost weight supporting this

Brilliant

My always hungry tabby now goes hours without begging. This food is brilliant. We’ve tried so many other brands but this us I’m the only one that’s worked. Would recommend.

Made him more hungry

I'm not too sure if this dry food has to be given with the wet food version, hence why I gave 2 stars instead of 1 but my cat is even more hungry then to start with, he even tore throw his cat litter, just to see if there was food in there! and the only change to his diet is this dry food. It is also so pricey! Not impressed, NEVER AGAIN!
