Expensive for elderly multi-cat households

Tried this with my three senior cats, youngest is 8, one is a chubby puss. They ate it no problem, but it's very expensive compared to the adult light, and only available in little bags.

Super food 😊

My tomcat is turning 8 years old and has a sensitive stomach, so I decided to buy senior food. Since he’s unfortunately a bit overweight, I opted for the light food. My chubby boy accepted the food straight away and eats it very happily. :)! It’s admittedly expensive, but my pet is worth it to me! After all, we humans also want to eat quality food. 😉 An absolute recommendation to buy.

Thumbs up

With the half-and-half combination with wet food, she’s finally at an OK weight, and it’s been stable for a long time now. Since she used to be an overweight cat, I probably don’t need to mention that she likes the food.

Quick weight loss programme

If you want your cats to loose weight fast, then this is the one to choose. My cats aren't particularly excited about the food, so I do have to vary it from time to time with something nice. But by golly does it shift the weight. This helps me face my vet with confidence when they are weighed and not feel like a bad cat mummy.

Good Product

My cats are getting quite old now and my 16 year old siamese is overweight recently. She has always been small and slender and is losing weight slowly now and seems to enjoy these.

Super food

The food is fantastic. I think it has the best composition, and it contains no preservatives, flavourings, or colourings, which is very important to me. My 9-year-old British Shorthair tomcat eats it with great enthusiasm, and my 4-year-old British Shorthair female is absolutely crazy about it too. I have no concerns, even though it’s supposed to be for cats aged 7 and older. I think the composition is excellent, with a very high meat content—49% poultry and also tuna meal—so I don’t see any problem with my 4-year-old loving it as much as she does.

Tastes great

Our 13-year-old cat enjoys this food much more than RC Ageing 12+! I'm really glad about that because I much prefer the composition compared to RC! We're sticking with this food and can only recommend it!

WOW Class Feed

WOW, the food is absolutely brilliant. At first, I was a bit hesitant because my tomcat is unfortunately very picky when it comes to dry food, and with this variety, you don’t get any trial packs with 400g. So, I had to order 1.5 kilos straight away. But I was really lucky—the food must be delicious. My cat likes it even more than Hill's Oral Care. He went absolutely crazy for it, and he tolerates it really well too. The issue with him is that he can’t handle dry food with a lot of fat; otherwise, he gets diarrhoea. But this one is fantastic—I can highly recommend it. The only thing is that the kibble isn’t triangular as shown in the picture but rather more roundish. But that’s not really a problem.

Great food!!!

I have been feeding Hill's dry food exclusively for 10 years now and really appreciate the "side effects". Dental and weight problems disappeared quickly, and it is very well tolerated. My kitties thank me with excellent health. However, I would also appreciate it if the senior food came in larger packages...

Super, but way too expensive!

Great and sensible food for older indoor cats, but it would be nice if there were a larger pack of this variety too – with two cats, it’s just far too expensive! Such a shame!

It tastes good and works.

Our tomcat, a large Maine Coon mix (9 years old), has lost 1 kg since February – from 10 kg to 9 kg. He gets wet food in the morning and only dry food in the evening, which he really enjoys eating. Since he suffered from severe constipation, he now gets 4 ml of lactulose with his wet food, and there have been no problems since. However, there should be at least 5 kg packages available, which could perhaps be a bit more affordable.

Happy Cat

I swapped the food of my 7 year old indoor, newly adopted but slightly overweight cat to this from Iams. He enjoys eating & always finishes & I hardly have to vary is diet at all (he bored of Iams frequently) plus he is slowly loosing the weight so is working in all ways I hoped :)

Agreed!

Our 8-year-old tomcat had reached a whopping 8.4kg!! Thanks to Hills Feline Light Mature Adult Senior Chicken, he has already lost weight and become more active again! He now enjoys moving around more and seems much fitter than he did six months ago when we started feeding him this. It's great that the weight loss is happening very gradually, which is really important for cats! I can only recommend this food. We switched to it after feeding Nutro for years.

Super lightweight feed

I give it to my two Maine Coons, and they eat it just as eagerly as the "regular" light food *down to the very last crumb*. It's a shame that it only comes in such small quantities, so I constantly have to restock, which naturally makes it more expensive. I would really appreciate larger packages! That's why it's only 4 stars ;o))

appetizing, promotes good condition + steady weight loss

i recently switched my 13yr old moggy tomcat from hill's adult light to senior light. he continues to lose weight slowly, has the SILKIEST coat (truly)and is alert. seems appetizing to both my cats whereas it was difficult to get him interested in adult light and my 7yr old queen wouldn't even look at it, now we must hide it from her

never again

I bought the Hill's senior light for my 11 yrs old, slightly overweight tom.. Otherwise very healthy, the poor mite suffered persistent diarrhoea for about 2 weeks whilst eating the dodgy product, even though i have been very careful in introducing the new kibblets on a slow, gradual basis as usually recommended for a change of diet. Indeed he has lost some weight whilst on it but I'd rather he got slimmer without his guts being damaged, obviously..

It works!!!

Our 19-year-old senior cat took to the food very well and has already lost 400g in just 5 weeks. The food is quite expensive, but the cat enjoyed it and it served its purpose.

Great

The food is absolutely brilliant, and our "old gentleman" (11.5 years) really loves it. It's just a real shame that the food is only available in 2kg bags and not, like the other types of food, in 5kg bags!!!

Great, even for allergy cats

My Angora found it tasty right from the start and has gradually lost weight. Additionally, she has a food allergy and tolerates Hill's Senior Light without any "side effects". However, it's still a long journey, and that's why the 2kg packaging is actually too expensive in terms of value for money. But what wouldn't you do for your cat!...

Very good light food

After the cat wasn’t too keen on the light food, we decided to try this one. She didn’t leave a single bit behind – a good sign. It’s a shame it only comes in 2kg packs. Richard Beuthien
