Product description

Complete dry food for Maine Coon kittens, with a specially-tailored recipe to support growth, joints, immune defence and chewing behaviour using a balanced mix of nutrients.
Individualised nutrition for Maine Coon kittens

Maine Coon cats are among the largest and heaviest cat breeds. Your kittens have special nutritional needs. Concept for Life Maine Coon Kitten is a scientifically-developed dry food that supports harmonious growth, joint health and immune system function in the first 15 months of life.

A special vitamin and antioxidant complex and prebiotics can support the immune system. Highly-digestible proteins in combination with a balanced mix of vitamins, minerals and trace elements optimally cover the increased energy requirements of growing cats. Glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate support cartilage and joints. The larger kibble size of this Concept for Life Maine Coon Kitten encourages chewing and can prevent your cat from gobbling down its food.

Concept for Life Maine Coon Kitten at a glance:
  • Supports the immune system with vitamins, antioxidants and prebiotics
  • Promotes harmonious growth with digestible protein and balanced nutrients
  • Supports cartilage and joints with glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate
  • Adapted kibble shape for Maine Coon kittens to encourage chewing behaviour
Developed by veterinarians and nutritional experts for the well-being of your cat.

Do you already know the wet food from Concept for Life?

Concept for Life Kitten wet food in sauce, 85g. Suitable for cats aged 2-12 months. Picture of a cat and food in a bowl.

Concept for Life Kitten in Sauce or Jelly is the ideal complement to Concept for Life Maine Coon Kitten dry food and is available in the following sizes: 12 x 85g, 24 x 85g and 48 x 85g.

Mixed feeding with a combination of wet and dry food combines the positive properties of both types of food. Wet food is particularly tasty for cats, provides important nutrients and promotes kidney and urinary tract health thanks to its high fluid content. One 100 g portion bag of wet food already covers half of the daily fluid requirement! Dry food, on the other hand, corresponds to the cat's natural behaviour of eating small portions throughout the day. It also supports the care of teeth and gums!

Wish it was better

I really rate concept for life product so I was hopeful for this for my Maine coon kitten, she was originally just on royal canin kitten happily, but decided to get her on a Maine coon biscuit, firstly the biscuit is quite big, my cat does prefer the smaller kibble but she didn’t not like the taste and did eat it but it gave her Diarrhoea so I’ve had to take her off it, shame as the price is extremely good

Maine Coon kitten loves this food

My Maine coon kitten loves this dried food and is thriving on it (7months and 5.5kg). It reduces the litter tray smells compared to other brands and to date she has not bought up any hair balls (they’ve just passed through her). Good quality food at a reasonable price

Upset stomachs

Both our cats had a small amount mixed in with their usual food and it gave them upset stomachs with very runny stools. I tried a few times and had the same result each time.

Changed something

They must have changed the ingredients as feed this to my cats before. And this time it has given the cats liquid stool. They now won’t touch it but I have to deal with the other end being so bad. This was just my cat my sister also tried the food first for her maine coons and it made her cat so ill.

Not grain free

Read the ingredients before buying. As a new Maine Coon owner I fell into the trap of ordering food which specifically states for Maine Coons. However Maine Coons should be on a grain free diet so this is not suitable. Thankfully my moggies like it!

Kitten enjoys food

My kitten seems to enjoy this food and it fills him up to the point he's not looking for food constantly like he was with normal kitten food.

Fantastic!

After doing a like for like ingredient comparison, I switched to this from the MC kitten Royal Canin dry food. Both my kittens absolutely love it and the bigger size kibble also helps keep their little teeth clean.
