Product description

Delicious paste for cats, ideal as a nutritional supplement and with the dual benefits of malt and MOS, supporting the natural movement of swallowed hairs through the system for cats over 6 weeks old.

Frequent cleaning can cause hairballs to build up in your cat's stomach, which need to be leave the system in some way to avoid causing digestive issues or constipation. This beaphar Hairball Paste can help to combat such problems.
The functional paste is made up of two different colours, offering a combination of light and dark brown pastes. The dark brown paste contains high-quality malt, which can reduce the build up of hairballs. The light brown paste contains prebiotic MOS (mannan-oligosaccharides), a yeast extract that can promote good digestive health. BIO-MOS actively stimulates your cat's intestinal flora, ensuring health and helping to move swallowed hairs through the digestive system.
The carefully selected ingredients in this beaphar Hairball Paste make it suitable even for refined cats with gourmet tastes. It also contains valuable oils and fats, meaning it can be a great source of energy for cats with reduced appetites.

Addictive!
My ragdoll loves this malt paste and definitely helps his digestive system pull through hairballs, first taste he turned his nose up at it but 2nd attempt and ever since seems to be addictive! He gets a good squeeze every day! Consistency sometimes oily but he licks that up from the tube so no issue. Good product and definitely recommend for long haired cats!

Excellent product
Amazing stuff! My cat loves it and will lick it off my finger. She is a fussy eater but looks forward to getting this. It has improved her digestion and her appetite is better because shes no longer full of hair. Cant recommend highly enough.

Skin irritant
This product resulted in my cat scratching a lot from skin irritation. On stopping it, the itching has now stopped too.

Using as a preventive
Fortunately my very fluffy shorthair does not currently suffer with hairballs but he readily eats this with food daily in the hope it helps it stay that way.

Works
I have a long haired cat with a sensitive tum. This works well. Since starting to give the paste to my cat there have been no more furballs. I only give him half the recommended dose so that I can increase if needed. I do also comb him every morning as well. My cat licks the paste from my hand. I do not have to hide in food as he really loves the taste.

Seems to cause severe skin irritation
I tried Beaphar to prevent my little cat from having problems with hairballs. Unfortunately, she showed severe skin irritation about a week or so after starting to be given Beaphar Hairball Paste. I gave her the advised quantity but had to stop. Since stopping the skin irritation has eased significantly but she now has scars on her lower back near the tail where she has bitten her skin in an attempt to stop the itching. She has had anti-flea treatment and thereis no evidence of flea infestation.

Effective and tasty (apparently)
Four months ago I started giving this to my long-haired kitty every other day, and she's not had a hairball since. She loves the taste too -- it's her favorite treat!

Great for long hair furbabies
Its that time of year again, my 4 Maine-Coon's are starting to shed and apart from there being fur everywhere in my house! I'm waking up to find some furball deposits here and there. So to help the transit of all this fluff and to aid good health I have started to use this Malt paste. All the cats love it and it comes in a large tube, so will last a while for all 4 cats which is great! Also its great value for money. Another great product from Zooplus

beaphar malt paste
I recently added a review after having used daily for one week (have used now and then previously)but my cat has passed a really constipated pooh today and appears a bit off sorts. I have some calcium treats to offer to try to help reduce constipation. I still am glad to have given beaphar owing to the friendly gut two in one treatment. No harm to try another, to see if he might also prefer a different one.

beophar hairball paste
My cat is fussy and has sensitive stomach. This has been the only furball paste my cat seems to like. I especially like that it has bio-mos, being two in one treatment. My cat is getting old but the more wet cat food he ate (following dentistry) it was causing poorly stomach health, the vet adviced he is in need of furball paste as well as for me to cook food for myself, I have been giving beophar to my cat for about one week (daily) and he has been well, he has had it previously, now and then . beophar will now be part of our regular daily new health plan, plus is more affordable compared to prescription type furball pastes. My cat has to have grain free foods and beophar does not have grains listed in the ingredients.
