Too much sauce, contains soya and potato starch

My cat enjoys this, however my cat eats anything so that's not a recommendation. I found it using the search for grain free food as I was looking for a good food to reduce bloating and weight. This is not it. When I realised I had a rugby ball again insted of a cat shaped cat I checked the ingredients properly and discovered added rubbish. There is a huge amount of gloopy liquid in this food and only a few chunks so not good value at all. Will not buy it again.

My tomcat didn't like it.

I think the food is okay, the composition is good, it smells okay, looks okay (can’t judge the taste), but my tomcat didn’t like it, even though it’s chicken and he somehow only eats chicken.

Not fit for cat consumption.

Both my cats just turned their nose up at this. I don't blame them! This resembles something you flush down the toilet on a bad day. It looked horrible as soon as I spooned it out the foil packet. Disgusting pale colour too. What a waste both boxes straight in the bucket.

Surprisingly good!

My first purchase of the Yarrah brand. When I opened the tray I was a bit suspicious about the content, I saw the chanks of meat in some greenish-looking sauce. Well, I was not impressed, but offered it to my cat anyway. I know, that if it is suspicious she will not eat it. To my surprise, she ate the whole portion, liked the bowl, and the tray and was asking for more. I guess I will be buying again.

Cat loves it as does my conscience.

I am uncomfortable supporting the factory farming industry, where animal welfare is awful, just to feed my cat so this food was a welcome find. Luckily my cat loves it too. Plastic free packaging too so all boxes ticked.

Cat reacted badly to this food

Tried the Chicken and Aloe flavour and cat had a bad reaction. She was hiding and licking her lips constantly which shows she is in pain. She refused to eat anything the whole day and had diarreah. I was wondering if it was the aloe vera which is toxic to cats but the manufactuer said they only use aloe gel rather than the pure plant so it should be fine. Might be ok for normal cats, but not senstitive cats.

Chunks Fish with Organic Spirulina

Tried the Chunks Fish with Organic Spirulina variety, and our two are thrilled. They always love the bites and sauce, and with this food, we have no concerns about the ingredients. Unfortunately, you do pay for it, so it will have to remain something special for us.

Top-notch food / opening it can sometimes be a bit tricky

The tab at the front is sometimes stuck so tightly that you end up tearing the whole lid apart before you can get it open. Otherwise, it's good quality. Even sensitive kitties can eat it without any problems.

Inedible

Our cats didn’t eat the chunks.

Chicken

I had ordered the chicken variety - for the second time. The first time they liked it, but the second time they only ate it reluctantly. What a shame.

As ethical as it gets

Don't expect your cat to like it immediately. My two didn't, but they do now having had a week or so of it being mixed with their previous food. I think they had to adjust because Yarrah doesn't have any of the chemical tastes and aromas of the standard supermarket car foods.

Very high quality

Such high-quality food, but unfortunately, my two cats (Mieze and Kater) absolutely "hated" it. No matter the flavours, they were very reluctant to touch it. Such a shame :(

Large arch

My tomcat gives the bowl a wide berth when this food is in it. He doesn’t even touch it, even if he hasn’t had wet food for a long time. Such a shame.

Yarrah Organic Chunks, Chicken & Beef with Parsley & Thyme

Looks like minced meat in sauce. Both of mine love eating it. However, we’ve only tested the one flavour. Even the more sensitive lady doesn’t get diarrhoea from it. So I can recommend it.

Tasty and organic - we're satisfied

Gets gobbled up in one go by the two of them, which is already high praise! Even with an extra splash of water, they think it tastes wonderful. :-)

Hardly touched it

Yarrow Organic Beef is one of six wet foods purchased from Zooplus for Caesar the fussy 12-year-old rescue Birman to try. Far from suggesting beef and parsley etc., the opened tray consisted of anonymous grey lumps in a grey sauce and had very little smell. Caesar hardly touched it. We'll see what the inmates at the local Cats' Protection League make of the other five trays.

The best

The chicken and aloe vera chunks is the only wet food my wee rescue cat Bo will eat. And it's also the only wet food that doesn't make me want to throw up at 7am! Just white meat poultry in a delicate clear gravy, I understand why Bo loves it so much! I hope this product never gets discontinued or I would have a serious situation at home!

Not a hit, but......

Not a hit, it looks like a pot of glue! But once mixed in with the Carny, some Applaws and some Cosma, all bowls are clean ;)

Doesn't taste good at all

Since my cat enjoys Yarrah Paté, I decided to try the chunks in sauce. Unfortunately, they don’t taste good at all. Even the neighbour’s cat, who usually loves finishing off any leftovers, turned its nose up at this cat food. Sadly, I can’t recommend it.

Unfortunately, diarrhoea

The two stars are for the good composition and organic quality. Unfortunately, the food causes severe diarrhoea in my cat and even in the tomcat, who usually tolerates everything.
