Product description

A grain-free* wet cat food, rich in vitamins and with a high percentage of human grade meat or sustainable seafood. Catz finefood is very tasty with no artificial additives.
Your cat's well-being and good health depends on the food it eats. Catz finefood is a natural, species appropriate and balanced cat food. Each recipe is inspired by nature and is made with all the essential nutrients and proteins that a cat would normally get from the food it would eat in the wild. Almost every variety of catz finefood is grain-free*, since cats find grain difficult to digest and to process.

Only the very best fish from sustainable fisheries and meat from trusted German farms are used in the catz finefood recipes. The premium quality, fresh ingredients are thoroughly checked, as well as tested by vets, before they are cold filled. This ensures the highest level of reliability and quality. The food is gently steam cooked to ensure that most of the essential nutrients and fatty acids are retained. Catz finefood is only made in Germany.

This tasty, gourmet wet cat food is very well accepted and easy to digest. It is suitable for cats which suffer from food sensitivities or allergies.

Good as always

We've been buying this brand of wet food for years and everything's been great so far, both of our cats like it.

Wow!

Ordered this flavour to try it out & lo and behold, the first bowl in the evening was emptied within minutes.

Formula change

Not sure what has changed with this food but my cat no longer wants to eat it. I now have 5 cans I cannot use due to the change in formula.....waste of money!!

Good product

Unfortunately, not organic. For the price, you’d expect it to be organic. But it has a high meat content and good quality. My cats like it.

Delicious

My two tigers absolutely love the Herring & Shrimps flavour. The texture is amazing!

Best food

The best food! I've already ordered many types for my boys, but the one with poultry and salmon is the best. It's their favourite food and always has to be available – if not, one of them gets grumpy. Always happy to order again 🍀

dry

In my opinion, the wet food is quite dry, the fat is in chunks in the tin, and there’s no jelly or anything like that. The cats do eat it, but they drink as much as if they were being fed dry food.

Poor Poultry batch

I have been buying this brand for long time and I didn't have any issue before with the different meats they offer, but in the last order i got POULTRY and after my cat vomited something similar to plastic I checked and I found in all the tins some hard gray and dark pieces that at the beginning I thought was part of the animal but it looks like plastic I even burned it and it smells like plastic. I'm really mad because I have been feeding my cat with this food.

Disgusting

We are buying Catz fine food poultry all the time and it was great! Our cats loved in . But the last order we purchased ( that was £120 worth) was absolutely unacceptable and discussing. The meat was full of chunks of some kind of grey matter that was really hard and weird. At first I thought it’s peace’s of skin but it’s definitely not skin. It doesn’t even look like it’s part of any bird or animal and the cans are full of it.

Tasty

The "Wild" variety was eaten, but personally, I find there are too many fatty bits in it. The favourite is "Beef & Veal", hardly any fat and always fresh.

Made my cat sick

My cat had diarrhoea and was vomiting for two days on lamb and rabbit, changed his food and the problem went away.

Man

In every tin, there was a 2 cm layer of jelly at the bottom and at the top of the tin, so that it spilled out as soon as I opened it, and there was almost 1 cm of jelly on the sides as well. That shouldn't happen with "premium" food – for my money, I expect something better!

Very good quality and high acceptance

Tried all the varieties, my two prefer Lamb & Horse the most. Clear recommendation to buy thanks to the precise declaration and good ingredients. Very high quality.

No more diarrhoea / soft stools

Thanks to the clear labelling, I can order this food without any worries. Both of my tomcats have a food allergy to chicken. Many types of food, including some high-quality ones, use poultry as their main protein source but don’t explicitly declare it. I had to contact the manufacturer to find out which animal proteins were being used. This food, especially the lamb and horse varieties, is a big hit. Their coats are shiny, and we’re now trying out other flavours as well.

High-quality and (obviously) delicious

The cats have taken to the food very well. Even missing teeth don’t stop them from eating, as the mushiness is just right (game flavour in this case). Their fur is now visibly shinier thanks to the better food.

Too much rendered fat on the edges

For a while, I fed my cats finefood, and some varieties were well-received by my two oldies. However, now I find it absolutely disgusting: 1. a thick layer of hardened fat (you can only throw it away); 2. hard "meaty lumps and veins" that are left behind; 3. the smell is sometimes unbearable, the worst being "crab + shrimp" – even my cats found it repulsive. After a day in the fridge, the other varieties also smell unpleasant and are no longer eaten willingly.

My cats love it

The best Cat food I’ve ever bought. My cats are very fussy and I’m happy I found something they both want to eat. Food also seems to be very good quality. 5 stars from my cats ✨

Keeps getting worse

I used to be a convinced buyer of Catz Finefood, but the fat content keeps getting higher... I'm now always having to pick out the big lumps of fat... Peppi leaves the smaller ones behind as well... Emma won't touch the food if there's too much fat in it... It was actually because of Emma, who often has issues with food, that I ended up with Catz Finefood in the first place... Now I'll have to start looking for another type of food, though the thought of doing that with Emma fills me with dread...

Very poor quality

At first, I was thrilled with the product, and so were my cats. However, with each purchase, the quality has gotten worse. My tomcat choked on a piece of stomach lining that, according to the lady at PetsNature after I filed a complaint, shouldn’t have been there. Yet I’ve repeatedly found similar things in the poultry and tuna varieties. My tomcat vomited up one of these pieces, and now neither of them will touch the food anymore. At this price, you expect better. Stay away from it!

Unfortunately, a bad purchase

I ordered the Mixed Pack 1 to offer my tomcats an alternative. Unfortunately, they won’t eat it. Even my tomcat, who usually eats everything, won’t touch the food. Additionally, the "Herring & Crab" variety contained something that looked like slime. It was difficult to break apart even with a fork (I thought it might be jelly). I’ve now thrown the food away. Such a shame.
