Fantastic entertainment

My mom’s African Grey’s favourite pastime is to destroy this ring. It does take him a while though :) He usually tries to release the ball first and then throws that around the bottom of his cage too. Endless hours of fun hanging off the side of these. It’s something I constantly buy for him to keep him entertained.

Great addition to the cage

I have 3 birds and the youngest is only a couple of month old. He loves sitting on the very top of this ring. The older two use the more traditional methods of actually sitting inside the ring. Be aware however that this is really quite big and would probably not have fitted in my previous cage. It is great value for money and delivery from Zooplus was fast.

Cotton ring

I have been a customer for years and have bought at least over 50 cotton rings. Unfortunately, I have to say that the quality has declined. But the price has stayed the same. I have 2 grey parrots.

Experiences with Trixie Cotton Ring

I've been buying this item for years for my grey parrots. My hen manages to get through this ring in just a few days. Since the fun factor is what counts, I have to keep buying it. I hope it will be made thicker again, like it used to be.

Perch ring for budgies

Our two budgies love the perch ring. It's the perfect size for both of them. Very good value for money. It's very easy to clean. I would buy it again.

Canary loves it

Hung from ceiling, when out of his cage, my canary loves spending time in this and trying to chew the hanging part under the knot, well made.

cotton ring

I’ve been buying this cotton ring for years and was always satisfied – but now I’ve noticed several times that the swivel between the cotton ring and the small metal ring is missing. As a result, the ring can no longer rotate fully when the bird is sitting inside. Since my African grey parrot spends a lot of time in it and also swings on it, I find this to be a drawback, as the ring only rotates to a certain point and then swings back. Previously, it was 100% rotatable, which I liked better.

High-quality and decorative, but...

The cotton ring is very well made, highly decorative, and has a nice size, suitable even for slightly larger parakeets. The price is great. Unfortunately, our budgies completely ignore the ring. Still, a clear recommendation to buy.

Our African Grey loved to destroy her toy!

It took a while before she would even entertain it in her cage! But when she did we could hardly keep her from sitting on it swinging around...and picking at the cotton....it was well worth the money though....(when the cotton was all gone the big wooden bead was given to he friend Scars our Degu who now has it as his 'trinket')

Message to Mirko

Hello Mirko, I also have two greys, and I completely agree with your opinion! My greys really love the ring, but somehow there’s a risk of injury. They think the ring is great, but once it’s been chewed up by the greys, you’ve got a problem. There are strings hanging everywhere that they can get tangled in. You really have to be careful—the older model was better!!!

The quality used to be better!

A long time ago, I bought several rings to create an adventure playground for our African grey parrot. The first rings were absolutely fantastic, but the ones I received today are nowhere near comparable in terms of quality! To build a new toy for our grey, I needed two cotton rings again. I quickly ordered them from Zooplus because I’ve always been satisfied with them so far, but the rings that arrived today have really lost a lot in quality! The cord used for the new rings is noticeably thinner compared to the old ones—I'd say by as much as 50%! Even the metal rings and carabiner hooks used to be sturdier and, most importantly, well deburred! The new ones had to be made play-safe first so that our grey wouldn’t get injured while playing. Material usage has been significantly reduced, quality has noticeably declined, but the price has stayed the same—it hasn’t gone down!

Charlotte's favourite spot

For our African grey parrot lady Charlotte, this cotton ring is an essential fitness device. She swings, spins, and does her exercises on it. It's such a joy to watch her!

Ideal sleeping spot

The cotton ring is my two budgies' favourite sleeping spot. It’s placed in the middle of the aviary and, even after 3 months, there are still no loose threads on the ring. Only the ribbons under the wooden bead have become a bit frayed. I find it highly recommendable for sufficiently large enclosures or even as a perch for free-roaming.

My grey's favourite spot

The cotton ring is simply brilliant. My two African grey parrots love it. I’ve hung up two of them. They swing from one ring to the other, hang upside down, and play like crazy. Plus, it also serves as their favourite spot for enjoying treats.

Great for budgie feet...

... and well-made! However, you should definitely measure to see if you have space for the ring. Mine was supposed to go in the cage, but it doesn’t fit in there.

Cotton ring

The ring had barely made it into the cage before my African grey parrot claimed it for himself. He swung on it and nibbled away like crazy. My bird is completely happy, chirping like it's springtime in May. Thank you, from your parrot "Robin".

Favourite spots

All the parakeets and lovebirds in my aviaries absolutely love these rings, and they're extremely popular in the bird room as well.
