Does not trap any odours
Works well for my rats as toilet litter. I change the toilet about every three days; they only put their droppings in there. Liquids are theoretically absorbed well too, turning slightly darker and easy to remove. Unfortunately, the litter doesn’t bind odours.

Perfect for the sandpit
I originally wanted to use it for the rats' litter box, but since they seemed to enjoy digging in it more, it's now being used as a digging box. Bury a few treats, and off they go digging away.

Hamsters' Digging Bath
That hamsters need a sand bath is well known. However, I’m happy to offer a second digging box with maize granules. Hamsters love the smell: it seems to smell edible and is always tasted first. But no worries, it just doesn’t taste good. They absolutely love digging in it, and it’s great fun for them to search for seeds in it (just sprinkle a few in). Not suitable as sole bedding, as it’s very loose, but fantastic for keeping them entertained!

Terrible
A bedding for rabbits has to absorb urine for me, so that no odours arise and the rabbits stay dry.
This bedding doesn’t absorb any moisture at all. The rabbit litter tray is wet and stinks.
I absolutely cannot recommend it. A waste of money.

Low-dust, gentle on the paws, and odour-binding
Perfect for my rat ladies.
I've tried so many types of toilet bedding, and the stench was simply unbearable. Before I got the Chipsi Maize Granulate, I was using Chipsi Ultra. At first, I thought the granulate was great too, until I noticed that their little paws were getting a bit sore. Ever since I switched to Chipsi Maize Granulate, everything's been spot on. No sore paws, no sneezing, pure digging fun, and it doesn't stink like it used to. Highly recommended.

Allergy
The description doesn’t mention whether the pellets are dust-free. Unfortunately, one of my rats has developed an allergy to them and keeps sneezing constantly. I won’t be ordering these pellets again.

Doesn't clump, unfortunately.
... at least not in combination with another maize bedding.

Additional bedding for the hamster
I bought the granules as additional bedding in a tub for the hamster to dig in and I'm very satisfied.

serves the purpose
I bought it for my rats' litter boxes. At first, the little ones tried to eat it, but now they've figured out that it's meant for the toilet.
I would buy it again – great quantity and price, top-notch.

Best bedding
For my guinea pigs, this is the best. It doesn’t smell when wet, keeps their little paws clean, and doesn’t stick to their food like hemp bedding does when they take it from the bowl.
Hemp bedding is softer, but it’s dusty and gets used up quickly.

Super
I discovered this granulate by chance and am absolutely thrilled. I use it in the cages of my Senegal parrots. It absorbs really well, and, similar to cat litter, you can simply remove the clumps without having to change everything constantly. One of my two absolutely loves lying on his back, playing and digging in the granulate. I’ll definitely buy it again.

Perfect for wearing down claws!
A great product! Ever since I got the maize granulate, I no longer need to trim my dwarf hamster's claws! She loves digging in it, and I can easily hide food in there too! I use it as a digging box, though I would still stick to my hemp bedding in the terrarium – the maize granulate is just a nice extra!

Well...
The positive aspect of this bedding is that it doesn’t create dust.
My doe doesn’t like it in her toilet at all; she hasn’t gone in there since. She’s been sharing the toilet with the buck ever since.
Conclusion: We won’t be ordering this bedding again. We also find it very expensive for what it is.

The product is okay.
I’ve been using the product for over a year for my rabbit’s litter box. The texture of the granules has changed, and the product is no longer as absorbent. These days, it barely absorbs the urine, and odours develop very quickly as a result. I used to be very satisfied, but unfortunately, the quality seems to be declining over time :(

Perfect for my dwarf rabbit
I bought the Chipsi Maize Granulate for my two dwarf rabbits and I’m super happy with the result. It keeps its structure and doesn’t crumble, doesn’t create dust, and is super absorbent and odour-binding. Whether for the whole cage, the toilet, or near the water bottle, it’s just brilliant. I’ll only be buying this from now on.

Not suitable for dwarf rabbits
I've never had such terrible bedding! It doesn't absorb a thing! Absolutely not recommended!

Perfect for a parrot cage
For years, this bedding has proven itself for Timneh grey parrots and green Congo parrots. It doesn’t fly around, is absorbent = simply ideal :)

Well...
First, the positive aspects: the maize granulate is very absorbent, doesn’t produce any dust at all, and also smells pleasant – but unfortunately, that’s about it. Sadly, it’s very hard and angular, making it completely unsuitable for the little feet of my gerbils. On top of that, it’s very noisy when they run over it. Probably great for rabbit litter trays and the like, but not really suitable as overall bedding.

Not suitable for guinea pigs
If these straw pellets are already unhealthy for pigs' feet, then this bedding is even worse. Far too hard for the small, sensitive feet.
It didn’t absorb anything either. The cage was soaking wet.
Maybe it’s suitable for birds, but definitely not for guinea pigs.

Addition of fragrances
Currently, unfortunately, only a poor rating, as the product has clearly had fragrances added to it.
I was very satisfied with the corn granules for years and used them as litter in the rat cage.
Unfortunately, I had to dispose of the last bag due to these scents, as I found no information on the packaging about the type of additives, and I don’t want something like that to end up with my animals.
