Wrong product sent

Same experience as previous review. Ordered YD thyroid care tins but sent Urinary tins. Picture and heading correct but stick information on basket is wrong. Now need to sort out sending this back and getting correct tins.

irresponsible vendor

the zoo plus site shows yd. wet cat food and directs to a buy button which in Very SMALL print adds cd type prescription food to basket. This is potentially harmful to a much loved elderly unwell pet. Nothing wrong with product but very wrong behaviour from Zooplus

None of my 4 cats will eat this.

It doesn't smell like cat food, but more like rotten vegetables. It also has a weird, slimy texture. Even when mixed with tasty food, the cat who needs it won't eat it, even though she normally eats all kinds of wet food.

Disappointed with the delivery

The product is great for my female dog, but the delivery was disappointing. Out of 12 cans, only 6 were undamaged. The delivery person threw them over a 2-metre gate onto concrete slabs.

Tastes surprisingly good

I personally heat up the fridge-cold chopped pâté for 10 seconds in the microwave, add a tablespoon of water, and mash it into a smooth mush/paste for the cat. The cat really enjoys it and the plate is usually licked clean. I have to feed this food now because the cat has been ill, but as someone else already mentioned, there’s less waste compared to regular wet food.

Doesn't even look like cat food

Cat really doesn't like it, strange substance, almost no smell. The other 2 cats, who it's not meant for, don't care about it either. So order just 1 can first to see if your pet likes it, because now I have 16 cans left and I don't know what to do with them.

My cat is addicted to the kibble

The product itself isn't bad, especially since it was prescribed by the vet. However, my cat, who's addicted to kibble, won't even look at it.

Allergy

Our food-sensitive kitty is quite picky, but she accepted this canned food and the matching kibble right away, and she's been happily eating it every day for months. Her symptoms have reduced to a minimum! 😊

My cat likes it and it seems like a healthy product

It has a really smooth texture, so it’s easy to mix with a bit of warm water. My 13-year-old cat took to it straight away. I picked this product to help with his belly barbering, and we also give him the dry food version. His barbering hasn’t changed yet, so I can’t say if the diet is making a difference there. I’m giving it four stars because it’s a bit pricey.

y/d pâté

Good, solid wet food (little tip: add a bit of hot water, it makes it more appetising). Thanks for bringing out this range, it's vital for Lili since she had an allergic reaction to thyroid medication... She can only eat this now. Sometimes she turns her nose up at it because it's always the same thing... So that's the only downside—it would be great to have more flavours. Thanks 😊

Cat doesn't fancy it anymore

I think she ate this food for about four years. At first, I tried all sorts of bladder-friendly foods for her, and this was the only one she wanted to eat. But about two months ago, she stopped. She hardly ate anything anymore. After a check-up at the vet, she's no longer on a special diet and she's doing great now.

Very dry

It's a pâté, but it's really, really dry and my cat doesn't want to eat it at all. I mix it with Gastro tins from another brand and that way it sort of works... But they really should rethink that dry texture.

I'm pleasantly surprised

My cats are extremely picky when it comes to wet food. They get cooked turkey—one has a food allergy, the other will even eat raw turkey. On the vet’s advice, I’m gradually mixing in 10 grams at a time with the cooked meat. Both of them actually prefer this canned food. I’m curious to see what happens when there’s no more meat on the plate! The switch is necessary because one of the cats scratched himself so badly he was bleeding and now has to take cortisone. I mix it with a bit of water.

sticky texture

Unbelievable how expensive it is and yet totally useless. My cat had trouble eating the food. It's a sticky mess, nothing like what's shown in the picture. Even when I mixed it with water, it didn't work—such a pity.

Perfect

Very good pâté, a bit dense but Bimo and Hermes really like it. Both have hypothyroidism, so I give it to them along with the special thyroid kibble. Bimo no longer needs medication and his test results are normal—thanks to Hill's! I keep the can in the fridge, he prefers it that way.

The texture: who came up with this?!

The product might be very good for the health of hyperthyroid cats, but it's hard to tell when they refuse to eat it. The texture is very thick and pasty, like an overcooked, low-quality foie gras. I have to moisten it a bit to make it easier to eat, but nothing works: my hyperthyroid cat quickly gives up on this food, she just doesn't like it. It lacks appeal.

My cat hated this hydrolysed food

None of my 4 cats ate this food. They sniffed it, tasted it, and didn’t touch it again. It’s a rather firm pâté with a strong smell, and apparently, the taste isn’t great either—especially considering I have two cats who love to eat and they didn’t even go near it. I’ll have to return everything. And the order took an extremely long time to arrive.

ZD Hills Paté

I have 4 cats and every day they eat a bit of this pâté. Two of them are hypoallergenic: one has gastric issues and the other has dermatological problems. This food is really good for hypoallergenic cats and delivers great results. I've been buying it for years. Even the cats who don't like it at first, with persistence—feeding it directly—they start to enjoy it. It's just a matter of time, in my experience.

Cats eat

Recommended by the vet, my cats eat it, sometimes I sprinkle the same food but dry or with cheese powder. My allergy-prone cat doesn’t scratch while on it 🙌🏻

Perfect for allergic cats

One of our cats has allergies. At first, she was hesitant to eat the food, but now she really enjoys it and the other one tries to steal it… Helps with the allergies, recommended by our vet.

Tragedy

Maybe the ingredients in the tins are great and healthy for cats, but it doesn’t matter because the cats don’t want to eat it. I’ve tried everything. The food hardly has any smell. The texture is like pâté, but it’s hard and jelly-like, almost like some typical chemical stuff. I don’t know what I’d have to do to get my cats to eat it.
