Many cats seem to enjoy the organic and cruelty-free aspects of this food, appreciating its consistency and smell. However, a number of pet owners report their cats refusing to eat it, even with toppers, and experiencing digestive issues. The pâté version is often favored, and some cats show improved temperament and coat condition. Despite mixed reactions, it remains a good option for variety and is well-received by some breeds like Maine Coons.

Don't like it.
My tomcat won’t eat it at all. We gave it to a neighbour, and their cat won’t eat it either, and mine usually eats almost everything.

Doesn't go down well
My 15-year-old cat won't eat it. I could only sneak it past her by mixing it with Zooplus Senior, with 3/4 of that in the mix.

Great Food
My elderly cat, who we believe has dementia as all vet results clear. She howls for no reason and forgets she's eaten etc she's old so hardly any teeth left so needs wet food and also her condition was looking poor. After only one week on this food she's back to just grazing, no howling and after 2 to 3 weeks her coat and her overall temperament has improved. She's like a young cat again.

Not a good replacement for the one in tray
I was expecting this product to be the exactly same as the pâté in trays, but the ingredients are slightly different.
Our cat is not happy with that difference and would only eat a bit as a last resort :( We tried mixing the content of the tin and tray together, and it was even worse.
If your cat likes the pâté in trays, I'd recommend not buying this one.

Apparently doesn't taste good.
Our 4 cats prefer poultry varieties. We've tried quite a few brands, but never has a brand performed so poorly...
The consistency was fine, the smell was okay. Not a single one of the cats touched even a bite of it, even though they're really not that picky when it comes to wet food. :/

Ethical but my cats hate it
My cats like the chicken version but after almost a year of offering this as a bit of variety I've given up. Whenever I put this one down my cat snaps hs head round to look at me in shock disgust. He always leaves a fair amount if he will eat any at all, last time he was actually sick after a few mouthfulls so I've finally accepted he hates it and doesn't just need to get used to it.
The other cat is hit and miss but its clear she also doesn't care for it.
Even with toppers they don't like it.

Demolished
Both this and the chicken pate lasts no time at all after it gets left out by our 2 that eat wet food. All 3 are very fond of the biscuits too.

All cats love it!
All my cats love it, Ragdoll, BSH and Bengal! None that turned their nose up!

Shame
My cat finally had really nice firm stools, but from the third day onwards she suddenly couldn’t tolerate the food anymore and vomited. That’s soooo disappointing......

Takes some getting used to.
What speaks in favour of the food is the quality (organic) as well as the cruelty-free production. However, you need to feed more of it compared to my usual brand, MACs. The food doesn’t have a strong smell, it’s hardly noticeable. On the other hand, the faeces smell very bad and are larger/more/voluminous than usual for the cats. It also caused diarrhoea in the tomcat, though that might simply have been due to the change in diet. I’m torn, but I won’t be buying it again.

Popular with my cats
I feed my two furry friends (cat and tomcat) exclusively with Yarrah. It’s the only organic food that both cats enjoy eating. Due to its poor rating by Stiftung Warentest (satisfactory), I’ve tried other brands, but they weren’t well received.
Many tins arrive dented, and there seem to be quality fluctuations, as my cats dislike certain tins (hence the deduction in points).

Was gobbled up straight away
3 Maine Coons, and all of them immediately started eating it. They do have some things they prefer even more, but as a bit of variety now and then, it's definitely recommendable.

Unfortunately not.
Unfortunately, both of our cats completely refused it, such a shame.

My two adult cats like it!
I bought both varieties, and my cats prefer the pâté, but they eat the other one without any fuss as well. Smells good and looks appetising too.

They love it!
My indoor cats unfortunately don’t like almost anything from Yarrah – not the sticks, not the dry food, and not most of the tins either... but the pâté with the yellow corner is always gobbled up straight away :)

Gets eaten well
Tasty food, unfortunately I only noticed too late that it contains grain. Otherwise, a good composition – one star deducted because of wheat and corn.

Favourite food
Our three tigers (regular shelter cats, European Shorthair) are being completely switched to organic food. Out of the variety of products served, Yarrah fish flavour is the clear winner. The bowl is licked clean in no time.

Very good quality
When I open the Yarrah tins, the pleasant smell of the food immediately catches my attention. I mix different organic varieties to provide some variety, but Yarrah remains a staple in my selection. It’s well tolerated and enjoyed by all. The coat looks healthy. It’s good organic quality that’s affordable. Additionally, I’m quite picky when it comes to organic products. It’s important to me that animal husbandry is truly humane, which cannot be guaranteed with factory farming. For those who prioritise this, unfortunately, there aren’t many brands with strict certifications to choose from. I find it absolutely unacceptable when a manufacturer offers some organic products in their range, but on another production line, processes poor-quality meat that’s sold cheaper. With Yarrah and also Defu, I feel confident.

Yarrah Organic Pâté
Our two older cats love it, but our younger tomcat is less keen. He only eats it when it's served in the bowls of the others. But who can really understand what's going on in the mind of a little tomcat? We're very satisfied, though.
