I've been using this machine since 2001. Over the years, it's developed a few signs of wear and a small defect on the rotary knob, but it still works reliably! I'd recommend it to anyone who needs something like this.

We started feeding our cat with this automatic feeder when she was a kitten. I can’t imagine anything better. She knows she can leave the food if she wants and doesn’t see us as her food providers, since the feeder takes care of it 3 times a day. Very reliable, perfect for holidays and for people working shifts. We have a regular neutered house cat – she maintains her weight perfectly with one portion in the morning, two at midday, and one in the evening. With our dry food, the container lasts for two months!

The cat mate c3000 is great in theory but the portion sizes make it really hard to programme and ensure your cat is getting the right amount of food. Better off getting one with scales so you can ensure they're actuallly getting their daily calories.

I can only agree with the positive reviews – I’m very satisfied with the device, and the cats are too :)

The automatic feeder has been in use on and off for several months now. Operating and handling it is pretty straightforward, and the feeder works perfectly. Unfortunately, our tomcat is so greedy that we had to screw the device onto a large wooden board and secure the food container with a tension strap to make it cat-proof once the device is set up. Despite this, he still manages to pull out chunk after chunk of dry food from the closed food dispenser... He cracks every feeder...

We've been using the product for almost three years now and only just had to change the batteries for the first time. The device is well-designed, and our cats absolutely love it. This way, we can be away from home for one or two days, and everything runs smoothly as planned.

I've been using this for 4 months now with my kitten. He took to it straight away (he's very food driven). He tried to break in it at first but gave up quite fast! It really gives you the flexibility to not live your life around feeding the cat.

We recently got it and, after some initial trial and error figuring out how many portions are needed at what times, we’re now getting on brilliantly with it, and the cats have adapted to it perfectly too! Great capacity! We only need to refill it about every three weeks! Absolutely fantastic!

Has worked a treat so far and the kitten hasn't got into it, he's actually given up now. It's really helped me introduce a food routine to my young cat.

We've had this automatic feeder for almost 2 years now. We're really happy with it. Every time we go on holiday and the cats stay at home, we use it. So far, everything has worked perfectly.

A great machine that delivers exactly what the description promises! Assembly and programming (including reprogramming) are really straightforward, and it’s been working for several months with the first set of batteries installed. The cat got used to it straight away.

It may not be a pretty device, but it really does its job well. Compared to similar devices, it is especially reliable.

From the very beginning, using the automatic feeder worked brilliantly for us! Even during assembly, the whole thing was curiously observed. Then the feeder stood in the living room for 10 days so I could keep an eye on everything. As soon as the sound of the mechanism and the falling kibbles is heard, both cats come running straight away! However, I’m deducting one point... I have to agree with others: the catch tray could be wider so that two cats can eat from it comfortably at the same time!

This machine is an absolute nightmare to program. Once set up it worked fine for a couple of years but has now the display regularly goes haywire -constantly flashing. The only solution is to take the batteries out and program again! I'm going to dump it and try something else.

The automatic feeder is simply brilliant and worth every penny!!! It would be even better if you could set 4 meals instead of 3. Since you can input very small portions, it would be ideal for super hungry and overweight cats. The batteries also last forever. We already had this feeder and were so satisfied that we got another one for our second cat. Unfortunately, we have to keep our two cats separated because they need different types of food.

The device was easy to set up and programme. Even the large chunks of Royal Canin Dental Care or Maine Coon fit through without any issues. With a bit of creativity, the dispenser can also be combined with something like the Catit Food Tree.

Works reliably and is easy to use. We use the three daily feedings, and as soon as the sound of the rotating screw is heard, the two of them dash off. We haven’t tested the function for the many small portions. Now ordering a second feeder, as otherwise one eats more than the other...

This feeder works very well. However, I thought I could use one feeder for my two cats, but unfortunately, this doesn’t work. The feeder doesn’t dispense the food evenly, so one automatically gets less. Additionally, my cats are used to each having their own food bowl, which is evident again here – for them, it’s strange to suddenly share a bowl. The container would be big enough. There isn’t a dish that forms two separate bowls.

We use this to feed an elderly feral cat. It is set up in the greenhouse with a water dispenser where he can help himself. He was afraid of the noise at first but now knows the noise means food. The greenhouse door has been wedged open just enough to let his slim body through but not the local greedy cats (although a pine martin has occasionally got in)
