Unfortunately, there’s almost always a 5mm thick layer of fat at the bottom of the can and a lot of jelly. My dog seems to like the taste, but he doesn’t tolerate it. For the past 2 weeks, I’ve been feeding him 1.6kg of GranCarno pure beef, beef + lamb, or beef + turkey daily – so far, he’s had consistently irregular and overly soft stools, along with increased diarrhoea. As a test, I gave him 3 cans of his previous food – everything went back to normal immediately. Unfortunately, I have to throw away the rest of the GranCarno!

The lids of the cans seem to cling to the contents so much that opening them with the designated hook doesn't work! Additionally, you have to be careful not to accidentally cut yourself. Otherwise, it's a very good food. SUCH A SHAME.

For years, I've been ordering Gran Carno for my Luna. Up until the summer of this year, everything was fine. She enjoyed eating it and tolerated it well. But since the summer, she's been having diarrhoea repeatedly. Either she can no longer tolerate Gran Carno, or the recipe has been changed. Our new addition has the same problem. Organic causes have been ruled out, and with other food, the issue no longer occurs. So, unfortunately, I have to turn my back on Gran Carno.

My Rossi loves it and doesn’t want anything else anymore. I’m happy to buy it because it’s good for his digestion.

I’ve repeatedly bought the mix packages for my now 2-year-old German Shepherd male, and I’ve never regretted it. No matter the variety, the bowl is always empty, and somehow it’s fun to watch him stand in front of the bowl, sniffing curiously as if to ask, “What’s this now?”

Overall, great food, but unfortunately, it seems many dogs can't tolerate the multi-meat cocktail.

My dogs suffered from food intolerances. Ever since I started feeding them GranCarno, they no longer scratch themselves raw. The delivery was quick. I’m absolutely satisfied.

The product smells pleasantly meaty. Yes, it’s a bit firm; we use an old knife, and when you pierce the meat lump, the vacuum at the bottom of the tin releases, and it comes out easily. The consistency is due to the gelatin, which is good for the dog. My dog loves the fat, as he gets a lot of exercise and it provides him with enough energy. We’re sticking with Animonda – even though we occasionally make a quick visit to Rocco and Rinti. ;o))

My mixed-breed dog has been eating this for over a year now and has had no issues with it. We often have foster dogs who adapt to it quickly. The price-performance ratio is really great. The food is FIRM and NOT a mushy mess. The smell is pleasant too, and our dog digests it really well. However, he doesn’t pay much attention to the feeding recommendations, as he eats less than the suggested amount but still maintains his ideal weight. He can always eat his fill without us having to worry about him getting fat.

Shadow often got bloating from food, but not with this one, and he likes the taste! Shadow eats a lot of it—he’s a very sporty boy—so his piles are no longer the size of a cow’s since we started using this variety. Thumbs up :3!!

I only buy Animonda, my dogs love it and don’t want anything else... never anything else again.

I can only report positive things. I can't understand why the reviews here are critical, saying the meat is too firm to mix with potatoes, etc. ... That's exactly why I buy this food, because that "stuff" isn't included, and the dogs have something to chew on.

Our little rascal looks forward to his tin of food every single day... and if he plays his cards right, he manages to outsmart us and gets a second feast from my girlfriend... He handles the tinned food really well, and it gives him the energy to romp through life.

Unfortunately, my dog doesn’t really tolerate it. Merle enjoys eating it, but… diarrhoea for her and sleepless nights for me. We’re back to feeding Rinti now.

My German Shepherd has severe allergies. She gets special dry food (and a daily Apoquel tablet), but to make it tasty, I have to mix in a bit of wet food. She’s been eating this food for several months now. She likes it, and she hasn’t shown any signs of allergy symptoms. So, the price-performance ratio is definitely spot on here—I keep ordering it again and again!

My "Frenchie" hardly farts anymore with this food. I admit, I tried it myself and it tastes a bit like corned beef :-)))

I switched over. For years, I fed my dogs a raw diet. They constantly had diarrhoea and were severely overweight. After one of my dogs passed away, I changed their food and came across Grandcarno. Since then, no more diarrhoea, and their weight has also gone down. She used to weigh 20 kilos, now she’s at 15.8 kilos and looks really good again. I can only recommend this food.

My dog loves this food and tolerates it very well. I can only recommend it.

For those with a slimmer wallet, this food is a good alternative without being complete rubbish. My dogs enjoy it and tolerate it well.
