Thick layer of grease
I would have liked to rate the food better, but unfortunately, I can't. We ordered it to try it out. In terms of composition and taste, it seems good. However, there are so many thick, hard, white chunks of fat in it. Even at the bottom of the tin, there's a thick layer of fat, so I had to sort out and throw away quite a lot.

Tasted good - didn’t agree with me at all!
Our 13-year-old Labrador wanted to try a different flavour of senior food. While he really liked the taste, he threw it up straight away! - So, the entire Animonda range will unfortunately never be purchased again. It's going to the pet food donation.

Fussy old dog
...but he always enjoys eating Animonda Gran Carno. We no longer have any issues with his skin, as he had a food allergy.
(However, he doesn’t like the Senior version as much, so we still have to feed him the Adult one. For that, I’ll gladly give 5 stars.)

Perfect for the senior dog
Our 14-year-old mixed breed, who has a sensitive digestion and is very picky, really enjoys eating this food and adapted to it very well right from the switch from his previous food. We've been feeding it for half a year now, and there haven't been any issues so far. Plus, the price is great for a high-quality food.

Senior
I cannot recommend Animonda Senior. Our 11-year-old Irish Terrier male became lethargic and listless after eating it. We initially thought it was just a natural sign of ageing. However, after our vet advised us to stop using senior food, the problem completely disappeared within a few days. We’ve now switched back to Animonda Adult and are extremely satisfied with it. Best to steer clear of the Senior variety!

Very, very good
I have to give our GSD, who is 9 years old, wet food in addition to his dry food. He accepted this straight away, unlike the regular ones (meant for younger dogs).

Even with fewer teeth...
Our little poodle lady is almost 9 years old and loves this food. The tin is very easy to open and gets completely eaten up. She runs around every day and seems very lively and cheerful. Highly recommended.

Simply brilliant
Our little mixed-breed dog is now 11 months old. Ever since she came to us as a puppy, we've always used Gran Carno products—first the Junior range, and now we've switched to Senior. The transition was completely smooth, with no diarrhoea or any other side effects.
She tolerates it really well and always has a lovely, shiny coat. We often get compliments about it. Naturally, we recommend the food to others with confidence.

Very digestible food and tastes great.
My dog reacts to many types of food with fistulas on her paws. Before I discovered Animonda, I was spending over €100 a month on dog food. With Animonda, it’s now just €60 a month. And my dog really loves the taste, plus she doesn’t get fistulas anymore.

Easy on the stomach and well-loved!
My older Aussie is actually very sensitive when it comes to food. With this feed, he’s had absolutely no issues for the first time – his coat is healthy, and so is he. He’d eat this variety non-stop if he could!

Dogs love it
One of the few senior foods my fussy dog will eat. He likes both varieties.

Great value for money
We are absolutely satisfied with these two senior varieties. Our dog loves it, and he really seems to be doing very well.

Really brilliant
We used to feed our dog Rinti, but unfortunately, we noticed he had an unpleasant smell and flatulence. Since switching, everything is fine.

Super stuff for the skin
We have a female dog with very sensitive skin. We've been feeding her this food about three times a week since May, along with Rocco (always separately). As a base, she gets Grau dry food, and all of this is doing her very, very well—her skin hardly flakes anymore.

Yummy scrummy
Hmmmm, how fine is the food! Everything is eaten with great enjoyment. The food is well tolerated, no diarrhoea or bloating. Brilliant!
Best regards, Hella

A good alternative
After a long search, I’ve finally found the right senior food for my 12-year-old German Shepherd mix with this product. She no longer has digestive issues (flatulence, occasional diarrhoea) like she did with other brands (Pedigree, Loyal). Her "poos" have also become smaller, and she doesn’t gain weight from it. Mixed with dry food, it’s a great alternative for us.
