My Dogs favourite Food is Maxi light Weight Care It has help to keep her at a healthy weight and her coat is in good condition

I’ve used this for several years for my lab x Great Dane who weighs 50kg. He puts weight on very easily and this feed keeps his weight under control. He also has problems with his anal glands; although the food doesn’t stop the problem it doesn’t make it worse as with other brands I’ve tried. He has the low activity amount of food as I found the normal activity caused a little weight gain. But he has plenty of energy and is very fit

My 4 year old Rotti was 63kg at his worst. We Switched to Royal Canin Adult Maxi Light and he's a nice 55kg solid muscle and no fat belly or back. He eats it in 12 seconds flat. My 8 year old female loves it too and maintains a healthy 40kg. You can use it for training treats too. 10/10 for my pack!

Wilf, my wirehaired viszla is now 4 years old. When he was about 2 after him being slightly under his expected weight I wrote a review singing the praises of the Royal Canin Maxi product (see review under Gina C). He then gained weight brilliantly. We had a change in lifestyle which meant a bit less exercise for a while and he gained a little too much weight (41kg) so I tried this Light variety and its worked brilliantly. Wilf is now a beautiful 39kg, neither ribs showing or belly protruding.

Our 5 year old Golden Retriever was overweight and we had tried many different foods to try and get this down but have to say this food is the only one that has the desired effect. He is now so much more lively.

I have two sibling labradors one male one female. I started the female on Royal Canin as she was hugely overweight. After two months she had become much slimmer and her coat in superb condition. By three months she had reached her target weight. The male used to get upset stomachs regularly and I decided to put him on the same diet. He has never had a problem since and again, his coat is in great condition. They also both love it and still see it as a treat!

This food helped my female Labrador to lose weight when she was overweight. She loves eating it and we've started feeding her just the dry food (she used to have a mix of dry and wet food).

Sasha our 6 year old Alsatian ( German Shepherd ) was recently diagnosed with hip dysplasia, she needed an operation. For her recuperation she was to be confined to a cage, which is a concern for weight gain. I put her on to Royal Canin Maxi Light, peviously she had a typical Alsatian tum either sick or runny bum, to my delight she no longer has this. Weigh up, pay the extra or keeep cleaning up ? Ps she is recovering well 6 weeks on

We have a 4 year old Chocolate Labrador called Buttons who is prone to gaining weight - mainly due to her treats .. but rather than have to give up giving her treats we were advised by the Vet to put her on their diet. The bag of 4kg Vet diet cost almost £48 and to be perfectly honest we could not afford to sustain that .. so we switched to Royal Canin Maxi Light 27 and feed her 135g on a morning and 45g at teatime (she knows when the person deals on Deal or No Deal that it's tea time lol) and various treats throughout the day. We also give her apples, bananas & tomatoes (in moderation due to the high potassium) and carrots which she loves - this all helps to keep her weight down. She lost steadily whilst on the diet (no treats during that time) but now maintains a healthy 29kg which is idea for her poorly hips (she has bad hip dysplasia diagnosed at 11 months). All in all I would recommend Royal Canin food - without going into detail her 'poo' is also more formed and she very rarely has an upset stomach - try it, you'll love it - she certainly does :-)

We have an Anatolian Shepherd (a short coated, streamlined St Bernard with a tail like an Akita). He was a rescue dog and very thin when we got him. He is a little on the small side for a male of his breed, which may account for him being on the streets in Wales. My daughter did lots of research into various brands of dog food and decided on Royal Canin. Foley gained weight steadily on the maxi 26 but once he got to the weight recommended by the vet (45kg) we found it difficult to maintain it AND give him enough food to satisfy him. We changed to maxi 27 and he is maintaining his weight well on around 310g a day, plus a couple of treats and a dentastick! We have had him 2 years now and he is happy on Royal Canin maxi 27. He is in very good health, has plenty of energy without being mad, does not suffer from wind and his poo is firm (without causing him discomfort) and not particularly smelly. I would recommend Royal Canin to any dog owner, despite it being a little dearer. It is well worth the money!
