Happy Healthy Doggo

My 6 year old boxer boy had to go on a hydrolyzed diet when he was a puppy due to gastrointestinal upset. He's a long-termer for this food. He absolutely loves it and it's been great for his tummy. We even give it to him as treats.

Great dog food

We have Irish Setters and our recent dog has had nothing but problems with her tummy. Periodically having a runny tummy even though we tried different dog foods and even a natural diet. I vet we visited whilst on holiday with yet another upset tummy recommended this. It solved all our problems. No more diarrhoea and happy owners.

My dog in photo cute!

Vet recommended

My vet put my dog on this evan though I said he was sentive to chicken. It smells good and all my dogs loved it . But didn't help my poor boy . So trying different type.

Good for my Lab

My Labrador developed really bad tummy problems and we tried many different foods. The vet then suggested we give it a go and are happy that he can eat it. The only thing g is, he does get a bit fed up with the same taste and refuses to eat it at times, preferring to eat it other dogs food. He then has a bad tummy :( Great delivery but pricing is a bit up and down so I have to shop around as it is expensive and only a 10kg bag.

Vet advised me to give it to my long standing tummy problem with my senior staffies.

I was advised buy my vet to try this for my staffie how suffers from upset tummy regularly. I've tried lots different products and still carnt find the perfect product yet. So I tried all 3 of my staffies together on this food they all love it 😀 only been using this for couple weeks so fare .my dog seems to be slightly better with his stools but still not fully recovered. Fingers crossed it carry on improving 🙏. I used to purtches Ava sentive stomach and coat plus wet food .but this better.

Passed the fussy Greyhound test

My greyhound who is a fussy eater and has IBS does really well on this food. I do lightly soak with hot water to bring out the smells, and sprinkle the one meat protein she can eat in it, though it's worked wonders. She's now at perfect weight, her coat is shiny, and she's a very happy dog who looks forward to meal times.

EPI

Our GSD has EPI and this food is the only thing she can eat which we found improves her condition.

Hypoallergenic Poodle

My fussy toy/miniture poodle has never liked any kibble but he likes this one and I have no problem getting him to eat. It had also had a massive impact on him with far less itching and ear infections.

Westiepoo Loves it!

Our westiepoo had a lot of issues of the gastrointestinal kind but ever since a vet recommended z/d food our doggo is back to her usual self. We got her both the wet and dry food, as we mix it up for her and use either as treats. She absolutely loves it and woofs it down. Wish we had known about this sooner!

Yay!!! A JRT that likes this diet!

Gurgling stomach, nausea, dropping weight and no desire to eat anymore. Then we tried Hills ZD Sensitivities diet and we have a different dog! Happy to eat again, in fact he looks forward to it. Poop solid again. We use some kibble as treats too. We use both wet and dry ZD and our Jack Russell is gaining weight again and HAPPY!

Z/d dry dog food

Recommended this by my vet my border collie has Crohn's and was really poorly always at the vets he can only have this food he also has the wet z/d has well. He really loves it . It is expensive but not having to go to the vets has much and his condition is 100 per cent better plus he loves it and always eats it.

Great efficacy & taste

My dog is on z/d and he loves this food. Impressive efficacy and great taste

can claim on insurance

If you are recommended or prescribed this food by your vet then it may be possible to claim back for it on your insurance. Make sure it won't increase your premiums too much when you renew though! My goldie had awful skin irritation problems and this cleared them right up. and the kibble is just about large enough that we can use it as a treat on walks which is a bonus.

At last, a food that doesn't make her scratch!

After years of skin irritaion, courses of steroids and cyto injection my dog was tested and found to be allergic to Beef, Lamb, Pork, Chicken, Duck, Venison and Soy. After 6 days on this food the irritation is gone and she is losing some of the weight put on during steroid courses. I note the comment that this product contains Soy but I can't find that on the ingredients. The only problem is kibble size; my dog is a Parson Russell terrier so not that big but she just swallows this food whole!

Dog says "very Tasty"

Vet recommended Z/D as our lovable dog is very allergy prone. He never leaves any in the bowl, reminds us when its time to feed him, when we forget. Compared to more popular brands, his waste has definitely reduced and does not smell (much) and no more wind between meals. Safe to say we are all very happy with this

nothing else anymore

I've been helping stray animals since '89 and also take in animals that people give up. Among them was ICO, a Schnauzer who came with an autoimmune disease and, because of that, also had a food intolerance. His previous place couldn't figure out what worked for him, and then another dog called Aaron from Romania joined us—he also had loads of intolerances, was in a terrible state, with burst skin, and was barely hanging on when he arrived here. With the above food, we managed to get everything under control.

It could be a bit cheaper

The price is a bit high, but for me, since I can't do without it, it's a good product.

Very good kibble

Good kibble recommended by my vet for my very sensitive French bulldog. No more allergies, it's great. However, a small downside: the zip to reseal the bag is not sturdy at all, it always breaks, so the bag stays open and the kibble is no longer protected.

Miracle

After many food trials for my dog who suffers from IBD and has an extremely sensitive digestive system, Hill's Prescription Diet z/d is clearly the kibble that suits her best. After trying several veterinary and hypoallergenic foods without real success, her digestion finally stabilised with the z/d: much less diarrhoea and normal, regular stools. It's made a real difference for her day-to-day life.

Received from the vet due to a medical issue

Due to an ear problem, our vet recommended this food, and our female dog accepted it straight away and ate it with enthusiasm. Her stools are very firm now and the reaction has disappeared. Yes, the food is definitely expensive – the previous food was already not cheap at around 65 euros for 15 kilos. Her activity level hasn’t dropped. The feeding recommendation for highly active dogs is, of course, too low. You have to adjust it yourself.

highly recommended

After many months of diarrhoea, trying different medications and other types of food, I finally ended up with this amazing product. Since then, I haven't had any more problems.

Excellent kibble for allergy sufferers

After a long search for suitable food for our bulldog with allergies and sensitive digestion, we finally found the right diet for him.

There’s less in the packaging than usual.

Up until now, I could always fill two and a half buckets with one 10 kg bag of kibble. With my last order, I bought two bags and with both, I only managed to fill exactly two buckets each. How is that not a rip-off? The product is already expensive enough as it is, these are just sneaky tactics.

Perfect so far

My dog suffers from severe allergies that cause him frequent skin lesions, which are very painful and take a long time to heal. On my vet’s advice, I switched to hypoallergenic kibble. Since introducing this food, his digestion has been much better and, for now, he hasn’t had any more skin lesions. As we’re still in the process of changing his diet, I can’t give a final opinion yet, but it seems to suit him.

Hadn't finished rating yet

I wasn’t even finished with my review yet. Everything has changed so positively after just 2 weeks—I can 100% recommend this food. And if your dog still keeps licking its paws, then wash your dog’s paws with a bit of dog shampoo after walks. I’ve noticed that this continued licking is often due to environmental factors like freshly cut grass, which no food in the world can fix. All other allergies are pretty much gone for my dog 👍

Poor zip closure

Good product, but the closure is really not great at all—this is the second bag that hasn't held up, the zip is useless. As a result, flies managed to get into the almost full bag and I had to throw everything away just to be safe.
