AI-generated summary based on reviews added by customers
This insect-based dog food seems to be a hit among many pet owners, especially those with dogs prone to allergies or digestive issues. It's praised for its palatability, with dogs enjoying the taste and showing improved coat condition and digestion. However, some dogs don't find it filling, leading to increased feeding amounts. Overall, it's considered a sustainable option that many dogs tolerate well, though not every dog finds it suitable.

Unbelievable
I almost couldn’t believe it, but my highly allergic bully tolerated the food straight away.
Immediately firm stools, itching and paw licking almost gone. Her coat has become silky smooth, and she really enjoys eating it. I also think the very moderate fat content is fantastic. I really hope the recipe doesn’t get changed.
Another positive aspect, of course, is that consideration is given to the environment... I myself am a vegetarian.

Hammer feed, super digestible
Our mixed-breed dog has had sensitive digestion ever since suffering from a prolonged bout of giardia as a puppy. Initially, we just wanted to do something good for the environment and decided to try feeding InsectDog every now and then. But since then, everything has improved so much that we now only give this food. No diarrhoea, no bloating, perfect poos, and even far fewer of them (down from 6 poos a day to 3). We’re absolutely thrilled!

Allergic dog
Our Vislar lady has various food intolerances... she's been doing very well again for three months now since switching to this food.

For us, top-notch!
Our Bernese Mountain Dog likes it and tolerates it well. What we also find very pleasant is that the food itself smells relatively nice.

Very satisfied
Our dog (Labradoodle) has been eating this dry food since she came to us (3 months ago), and we are very satisfied. She is now 2 years old, has no intolerances or other illnesses, her bowel movements are perfectly fine, and the food is also attractively priced, making it highly recommendable.

Favourite food for over 5 years
I’ve been feeding InsectDog for many years now and have always been happy with it. The dogs love eating it, have good output, beautiful coats, and hardly ever fart. What I particularly like: the food smells pleasant!
Since both of them (10kg Terrier and 26kg Greyhound) are getting older now, I occasionally try special senior food from other brands – but so far, none have been as well tolerated as this food here. I’d love it if Green Petfood offered a senior version too 🙏🏻

Unfortunately, not suitable for my dog.
My dog (Akita mix, 7 years old) doesn’t seem to tolerate the food well, even though he enjoys eating it.
At the beginning of feeding, there were no issues, but after a few weeks, he started eating grass excessively and urgently. We then switched his food again, and his urge to graze disappeared with the change.
Since my furry friend generally has digestive issues (including pancreatitis), I can’t say whether it was due to the food or the dog.

Tastes good and is well tolerated
My dog loves the food, just like the previous one. And it’s well tolerated too; we haven’t had any issues with the food so far.

Simply brilliant
Perfect food for our dachshunds, keeps them full, digestion problems are resolved, and even the female dog, who always had allergy issues, is now gaining weight. The allergies are practically gone, her coat is shiny, and the food is eaten very eagerly.

Hard to say...
My Frenchie just doesn’t seem to get full from this. Her coat has also become dull since she started eating this food, and she scratches herself a lot. Overall, I feel like she’s just not happy with this food. On the positive side, though, she has good bowel movements and her gas doesn’t smell as bad anymore. The food is certainly a sustainable option, but it’s not suitable for every dog.

Everything's fine.
Our dog tolerates it well.
It's not easy to find her a compatible food without having to make compromises (itchy paws or perhaps an ear infection, for example).
She's been on it for 5 weeks now.
Stool is good, paws are almost no longer reddish, and there's much less hair loss.
The only downside for me is that she needs quite a bit more than what the manufacturer recommends.
But that's acceptable since her allergy symptoms are clearly improving!! I hope it stays that way.

Annoying itch on the paws has disappeared 👍
For about a year now, my Bull Terrier has been eating almost exclusively this food. He likes it, his stool is normal, and his weight can be controlled through the amount of food. Really, no one should have to feed meat, as this insect-based food contains everything a healthy dog needs. A nice side effect is that his allergy has disappeared 👍

Goes down well
I've been feeding this dry food for a year now.
The four dogs enjoy eating it.
They maintain their weight with it, including the large Pyrenean Mountain Dog.
Their stool has a great consistency.
Once a day, they get cooked vegetables mixed in, along with flaxseed and salmon oil.

Doesn't fill you up
The food was initially well tolerated, but now my Doberman has diarrhoea from it. The food seems to be not filling at all; I’m feeding double the recommended amount, yet he’s still hungry and isn’t gaining weight. Personally, I can’t recommend it.

Nothing to complain about
For over a year now, I’ve been feeding my dog this food and have noticed hardly any itchy paws anymore. The reduced itching is so relaxing for my dog…👍😄

Great
Our dog had digestive issues, including bloody diarrhoea. We tried so many things, but nothing worked.
Only BARF (horse) was somewhat tolerated, but even with very large portions, she didn’t gain weight, and there were occasional bouts of diarrhoea. We were spending nearly €150/month on food for a dog about knee-high.
Out of desperation, I tried this food:
Better stool consistency than with BARF, the dog is finally gaining weight! No more digestive problems.

Simply TOP!
If you want to feed your dog in a modern, species-appropriate, and climate-friendly way, this food is an excellent choice. Our three dogs (aged 13, 6, and 4 years) love eating it. They've been having it for over 4 years now and are all healthy and lively. Insect protein is very similar to chicken protein and is highly bioavailable for dogs, while insect fat is even better absorbed compared to chicken protein. So, TOP marks and an absolute recommendation!

Diarrhoea 'cured'
My 12-year-old dog had severe diarrhoea from the wet food. The vet recommended switching to insect-based food and doing a gut cleanse. Since then, we haven’t had any more problems. She tolerates this food really well and enjoys eating it!
After a long search, we finally found the right food for our Noah, a Maltese and small Spitz mix. At first, he had to get used to the change, but it was absolutely worth it.
He’s still the same sweet dog, but no longer hyperactive. His coat is healthy and shiny, his stools are nice and firm, and he seems much calmer. We notice it every day.
For our Noah, this food really makes a difference. We’ll definitely keep giving it to him. 🐶
Our two American Bully ladies really like the food. Both have allergies and sensitive skin and ears. Everything is white and clean here. Output is normal. We're happy and sticking with it. It's also great that the food isn't greasy and you can easily pop it in your pocket as a treat.
My 16-month-old dog has had trouble with diarrhoea from lots of well-known food brands. With the insect-based food, those issues disappeared instantly.
I've been feeding this food to my French Bulldog 🐶 for over a year now.
And as everyone knows, this breed is very prone to allergies.
Since switching, her coat is softer. She doesn't scratch herself anymore.
She really enjoys eating it.
And it's even good for the environment.
