Trixie Mesh Dog Barrier

Perfect for my shih tzu who isn’t allowed up the stairs. Good quality!

Easy to put together and not bad quality but our 4 months old small puppy can jump over it. Only suitable for very small dogs that can't jump so far. I will make an extension to fit on the top to prevent our puppy jumping over it. Perhaps they should offer a taller one for those dogs that need it. To be fair they do give the dimensions.

We have a 10 week old beagle puppy. We bought two of these and they lasted an hour before he worked out that he could just get around the side, or climb over, or just push them out of the way. It’s a nice idea and I truly wish they’d worked as I’ve been looking for something like this for ages but the bottom line is that the feet are too deep to fit onto a normal step (you can see in the item photo the back end hangs off the floating step) and that they are only knee height so too short.

I have put the item together in the staircase barrier way and it will not stand up.

The gate really doesn't stay in place; my 2.5 kg Cavalier puppy just pushes it out of position without any effort. And don't think you can conveniently slide the gate open from the other end, either.

Does what it's supposed to, easy to assemble. Value for money is fine. Warning! Sliding it apart and together is very difficult. Insider tip: just move it a bit to the side and you won't need the sliding mechanism at all!
