I ordered this claw scissors because I wasn’t very happy with the pliers, as they’re quite impractical for guinea pigs with their small feet, making claw trimming rather time-consuming and stressful for the animals. So, I decided to try the scissors, and I’m thrilled: they’re nice and small, cut quickly, no squeezing, and very easy to use. Now claw trimming takes so little time, and the guinea pigs don’t get impatient anymore because I’m taking too long. I find them much more practical for small animals like guinea pigs compared to the pliers, though this might be different for cats or dogs. Conclusion: great product, absolutely recommendable!

After the third time cutting claws, the handle broke! I'm disappointed!

I used to trim my guinea pigs' claws with a nail clipper, which wasn't ideal. With the new claw scissors, it's a piece of cake. Highly recommended to everyone!

This "guinea pig nail clipper" is good because: I also have one of these clippers and I have two guinea pigs. One of my guinea pigs has light-coloured claws, and where the claws are pink, that's where the blood vessels are. My other guinea pig has black paws, so you have to estimate more carefully. With this clipper, you can precisely hit the spot on the claw that can be trimmed, and even with very hard claws, this clipper has NO PROBLEMS!!! It cuts their nails better than blunt scissors! it can leave the nails a bit scratchy though.

I absolutely can't agree with the opinion that the scissors are far too small. The scissors are a relatively normal size, easy to handle, and serve their purpose at a fantastic price.

The claw scissors work really well. I tried them out on my guinea pigs straight away, and it went great. I didn’t think I’d manage so well on my own. For the first claw trimming, I used nail scissors. That didn’t really work on my own. But with the claw scissors, it’s absolutely brilliant. Honestly, really great!!! And all that for the price.

...my rats aren't particularly thrilled...so the scissors stay on the shelf, and the two of them keep scratching me...oh well...one man's joy is another man's sorrow. Otherwise, really great! They cut really well and are easy to handle. So still four stars! zooplus can't be blamed for the silly rats... :-)

This pair of scissors is really good. Up until now, I’ve always trimmed my guinea pig’s claws with a regular nail clipper. They would always run away because the claw bends during trimming, as nail clippers are designed for thin nails and not claws. This claw trimmer is fantastic. The only issue now is that my guinea pigs are scared whenever I get near their claws. Oh well... my own fault, I should have bought the scissors earlier... Definitely recommend!!!

For our 3 cats and 5 guinea pigs, we have both the claw clipper and the claw scissors from Zooplus. The scissors were actually meant for the guinea pigs. This time, I tried them on the cats as well, and I was thrilled. Much more practical than the clipper, and trimming the claws was lightning-fast... less hassle for the cats and for the human too.

Tried the scissors straight away and was thrilled! It’s quicker (which is a huge advantage for me, as my guinea pig never wants to stay still!) and cuts the claws much better than a nail clipper or anything else. Really brilliant!
