Hopeless!
I bought this to help calm my 18Yr old miniature pinscher who is very alert and has separation anxiety and barks if alone. Very concerning that the first night she developed a severe respiratory wheeze and could not settle all night. I unplugged it at 5am and she slept soundly once she'd recovered which took a couple of hours to settle down. No respiratory noises since so not an ongoing condition. I've thrown it away. Seriously not right. She only weighs 5.5 kg so maybe not good for smaller dogs

Opposite effect
Dog got agitated 15 mins after plug in. Crying whining he didn’t do before. He had same effect with medication from vet . Would like to know why he gets worse instead of better. Very strange

Item not as listed.
I placed an order for two of these items 'Plug-in diffuser with a 30-day refill vial' along with two of the refills. What I received were four refills. When I contacted Customer Services I was advised that this is what I ordered, but my order states different, and that the Calm Diffuser is out of stock. It seems that I was able to order, and asked to review, the Calm Diffuser even though it was out of stock.

NOT a diffusor
The product is sold as a diffusor, yet is actually the refill for the diffusor. Therefore useless without going out and buying the diffusor proper. Wish I hadn't bothered. A lot of expense for two vials I can't use.

Adaptil lol
It specifically says it does not effect humans yet it actually does it makes you sleepy and was actually told this by my vet so think they need to change the packaging 🤔

Mixed
I have used both pills and diffuser. Seem to work, tho diffuser seems more effective. My dog, who is a major terrier barker, seems to be barking much much less, but we haven't used it very long, and use it off and on so I do wonder if I am hearing what I want to hear! We are noticing that the diffuser got very hot after 8 hours, so we don't intend to leave it in for very long or when no one is home.

Works really well in my old dog
We have been using this religiously for 6 months. Our 13 year old Daxie was diagnosed with alzheimer's and cognitive problems she was crying at night getting lost and distressed in the kitchen. Since plugging this in she sleeps calmly she occasionally barks but we are easily able to pacify her. We have noticed when she is out of the room with the diffuser for too long she gets panicked. This has really changed our lives. Its definitely extended hers. We Re really grateful for this

Fluke the Howler
This product is expensive and does not work. I have had it continually plugged in for over a week now and It has done nothing to help my dog with his anxiety he is still howling and crying.

It helps
Firework nights & bad weather, I think this product does work , you have to have it plugged in for at least 1 hour for it to take effect

Disappointing
Gave off a sickly paraffin like smell which gave me headaches and had no calming effects my dog at all

Waste of nearly £50
I bought the collar, the capsules and the spray. My poor dog is still going crazy. They have had no effect whatsoever on him. Very disappointed.

Adverse effects
I have been using the Adaptil diffuser for over 2 years now for my beautiful, but anxious, rescue dog. Aside from a couple of issues in 2016, the effect on her has been very positive until recently. I have had to stop using it as she has become very agitated, but once switched off she very quickly becomes far calmer and happier. I have also noted, as one other reviewer has, that some of the refills are lasting nowhere near the 30 days indicated.

Disappointing - opposite affect
Only used it for 24 hours, but the distress that this has caused to our puppy is unbelievable! We have struggled with her at night time, but was starting to get somewhere with a routine and she wasn't crying as much. We also struggle with her during the day whilst out at work (i pop back home at lunch times) and again the crying was getting less and less. Since plugging the diffuser in, rather than keeping her calm, she is now soiling her cage and her crying can be heard from the road.

anxiety in my pomerainian
we bought the adaptil diffuser to help our one year old pom with her anxiety over loud noise's (fireworks) and when anyone leaves the house it made no difference so we purchased the spot on alongside keeping the diffuser plugged in still has made no difference is there anything else we could try as this makes me upset to see her crying

Fantastic
Our 10 month old lab is not wrecking the place anymore and can be left at home on his own since we have started using the diffuser. I completely recommend it.

A must
We rescued a dog from Hungary. Very sensitive and nervous. Adaptil really helped to calm her down and life together is now lots of fun. Our dog is much more relaxed. We can leave her on her own with no problems.

Didn't help at all
We tried the diffuser and the tablets, on their own, together, but nothing seemed to work for our dog. I also thought the diffuser got very hot so I didn't like to leave it plugged in for too long. I did so to test the effect but it didn't seem to work for us.
