For our 10 kg Terrier mix, the lead and the carabiner are unfortunately too heavy. Apart from that, the lead makes a good impression. It's a shame that a lead like this isn't available here for smaller, lighter dogs.

The lead is really great, especially for such a small price, brilliant. It's soft and feels comfortable in the hand. What I particularly like is that it's lightweight. I find that very convenient when you've unleashed the dog. I'm absolutely satisfied, and so is my Labrador.

It’s been a few years since I ordered this lead (certainly 6 years, together with the collar). Used almost daily with a Westie female, and now with a young, strong, and still boisterous Standard Schnauzer female. Probably a bit wide for toy breeds, but well-suited for all others, especially if the dog is still a bit wild, as it’s very easy to grip. The only issue is that the carabiner has picked up a few scratches, but otherwise, it’s a very sturdy lead that provides excellent grip in all weather conditions.

I bought the lead for my two German Shepherds in brown and black. I'm used to a different suppleness from oiled leather. For me, they are too rigid and stiff. They were also very dry when they arrived; oiled leather feels different. The leads are more work than joy. As a precaution, I replaced the clips with larger, sturdier ones.

I’m really surprised at how affordable the lead is, because the quality is absolutely brilliant! It feels sturdy and not too rigid. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a bit too long for me. But with the help of a cutter, I was able to shorten it easily: the entire lead is completely seam-free and only crafted using a (secure) braiding technique, so I was able to make a loop a bit further up without any trouble.

Super great soft lead, really sturdy braided piece, and feels good in the hand. I bought a similar one at Fressnapf, where the braided part always tightens up and doesn’t keep its shape at all like this lead does! Fantastic price, great performance!

I ordered this lead last year and was completely surprised by how soft the leather was. We have various leads at home because we have two dogs – one large and one small mixed breed – but this one is absolutely the favourite lead. Price/performance TOP!

Due to the price-performance ratio, we keep coming back, even though our lead rubs off and every walk leaves us with blackened hands. :/

I am very pleased with this lead. Given the low price, I actually expected less and was absolutely positively surprised. Compared to my other narrow leather lead, this one is significantly lighter, which I currently find rather pleasant – I think my dog likes it too ;-). How well the lead holds up in the long run with rain and so on remains to be seen, so for now I've only rated it as good.

Unfortunately, this lead is far too heavy due to its width – when the dog walks nicely on a loose lead, there's far too much weight on their neck.

The Heim leather lead is of great quality, and the price-performance ratio is excellent too.

Well, it’s “just” a lead, but we’re very satisfied. Great quality, excellent value for money. The material is fantastic and even a bit stretchy. I immediately ordered the matching collar as well – also great! Highly recommended!

The lead is beautiful, elegant, and pleasantly lightweight. However, I’m only familiar with leather leads in much narrower versions, so I had to get used to the 18 mm width first. It’s a shame that Zooplus doesn’t offer leather leads in other widths and lengths. That said, we’re very happy with this lead, and at this price, there’s really nothing to complain about. Still, because I personally would prefer a width of 10 mm, I’m only giving four stars.

It feels great in the hand and even holds my somewhat boisterous German Shepherd mix, who previously managed to destroy a riveted lead. I bought the lead for my Hovawart-Boxer female dog. A really beautiful lead for little money. It feels great in the hand and is very lightweight for a leather lead. The first thing I did was give it a good coating of grease. I'm absolutely thrilled; it looks very stylish.
