Trixie USB Flash Light Collar - Green

I bought this collar because I was excited that it could be resized. I opened the box and read the instructions on the leaflet. It said "shorten the band to the desired length simply by cutting." I noticed a small sticker with a dotted line and scissors on the band so I made a cut there. It turns out the internal wire was running there and I cut through it, thus making the collar unusable. I then looked at the other side of the usb port middle bit and it's where the sticker should have been.

It works well when charged, however when you try and pull it apart to charge it is almost impossible to do so. I ended up breaking it...

Fell apart. Very shoddy construction. The welds came apart - fixed them. Then the on/off button broke off while getting the casing off( which I had to do every day, because the battery( literally just an AAA battery inside by the way!) only holds for 2 hours at most and we walk a lot) - fixed it. And now the chip itself broke in half. All after only 2 months of use. Way too expensive for such poor quality. No USB-C either. TL;DR Critical components break apart very easily.

Just falls apart when you try to get the ends of the loop apart to charge it.

This is my second one. The first didnt last long and this one wont stay switched on - from the moment i bought it. It lights up poorly, or not at all and is fully charged.

I’ve had a few of these now and do find that the mechanics let me down. Hard to explain but I’ve had one where the charging bit didn’t charge and a couple where it just decided to not switch on!. This will be my final time buying one each for my 3 labs, because when they work they are fab and Zooplus is a great site for all my dog items, so fingers crossed 🤞

A good simple bright collar that works well. Just cut to the right size and then slip over your dogs head. No need to separate it other than for charging.

This collar is highly visible in the dark when switched on, so very good from that point of view. But, the fastening and undoing of the collar is very difficult. It's just a case of forcing the silicone over the rigid plastic part which contains the on/off, battery etc. I would not buy another one.

I've been using it for 3 years and everything is fine. It shines really brightly, is easy to apply and clean. Charging is no problem. A small downside is that the battery lasts about 1.5 hours.

In reality, it keeps a triangular shape. It's a thick, hollow tube that doesn't hold a circular form. It's flexible, but the way it bends makes it difficult to put on the dog's neck. Luckily, I cut it with a lot of extra length, so it should still be usable. Maybe even leaving more extra would be helpful (I left about 3 cm, but it's probably better to leave 5 cm more than the neck circumference).
