My dog (who isn't even that chewy) nibbled through this in the space of a 5-minute car ride. I bought two of these and almost regretted it. I say almost because the carabina clips are excellent quality (hence a 2 stars instead of a 1). With those and the seatbelt clip from the old one I was replacing, along with a length of chain, I was able to make a strong, non-chewable version which works a treat. My little dog gets very excited when she travels in the car, so we need the restraints.

We got these harnesses for our two boys (Australian Terriers) and we're absolutely convinced by them, because when braking hard or suddenly, they're held back just as safely as we are thanks to the connection to the 3-point seatbelt.
