Trixie Rear-Mounted Black Bicycle Basket

Bought last year and has been great. My dog was just a puppy when we got the basket, so he sits well in it as has always known it. Feels stable on bike. Very happy with the purchase.

We bought two of these baskets for our two (different) bikes. The clamp to attach it to the bike worked for one but needed adjustment for the second bike which had a narrower frame. We have also decided to get some additional support for the baskets as they do move a bit when there is a lot of weight in them and we are concerned that the baskets need to be 'rock solid' when our two dogs are on board. Our dogs were definitely nervous initially and need to get used to travelling in the basket.

We bought this for our Cavapoo. Arrived in time and looks really good at first inspection. As previously reported the base board is quite flimsy. Very soft wood. The Bike attachment is awkward and again like others we have to make adaptations. The fixing plate overhangs the wicker basket which in turn is the 1cm proud of the baskets base. This distorts the plate when bolted the grips then are too short to catch the pannier rack. The design needs to be looked at or sold for a specific rack.

On arrival the wooden base was cracked where the screws had been badly put in. The 1st time we used it, after 20 minutes the whole basket became loose because one of the nuts fell off! We tightened them as was physically possible, but the main fault is due to the fact there is just one bracket in the centre. On moving, the basket pivots on it and the nuts become loose. My partner reinforced the wooden base with another, bought another bracket and used butterfly wing nuts. Unsafe and Rubbish!

My dog is very timid so i put her in the basket several times before using it on my bike. I also recommend doing a dummy run using a similar weight before putting your dog on your cycle. My dog loves the carrier and looks very cute.in it.and can now come with me instead of being left on her own

The clamping mechanism is far too wide for any rack in my possession. If it needs a specific rack then it should say so along with details of what that rack might be.

It's perfect. I was not aware I will need a slightly bigger rack for it. But it's not a problem. Size is just perfect for my Pug. Love it and she loves it too.

The rush material is poor quality—when it was delivered, there were already bits of rush in the basket. The mounting is really bad quality and it’s even attached crookedly to the basket. The straps won’t last long either! The whole thing is made from bad materials and it’s definitely not worth the price!
