Scorched Wood Cat Tree

This was much larger than expected. But within a few hours 2 of my three cats were well and truly settled in. It's well made and sturdy. We put the domed basket at the bottom, but needed to drill a new hole as it wouldn't line up.

I’ve had my eye on this tree for a while, but let’s face it, it’s not cheap. We have had two flower cat trees from zooplus in the past and as with those, this one stood out as it’s a bit more aesthetically pleasing than the usual ‘fluffy’ trees. The finish is a bit rough on the baskets which is disappointing for the price. But very sturdy and big enough for our 5.5kg chunk and a large 10 month old kitten! Our cats aren’t bothered about chewing it so that’s just luck of the draw I think!

This cat tree went together really easily and looks amazing in my living room, it feels like a piece of furniture rather than just a cat tree. The kitties love climbing all over it, but they don't like the cushions, our tiny kitten puts one paw on them and then makes a beeline round the outer edge of the basket, as soon as I wrapped the cushions in blankets she was happy to use all the pods.

Good looking, sturdy enough to handle a couple of pet elephants! Mine has been jumped on by two Maine Coons, weighing around 9kgs each now. It does wobble occasionally and needs a quick tighten up from time to time, but other than that it's a great cat tree. One of the nicest I have owned.

Looks great, very rich in colour, has removable cushions for washing, had a number of scratching posts which are amazing (my cats have now stopped tairing up my furniture), very easy to assemble and well packaged packaged However, for the price I expected it to be a little bit sturdier, my cats aren't exactly slim so when they climb all over it it does tend to shake a little, nothing so bad its falling apart but it's noticeable. Also even though it does undeniably look good and expensive the wood used is certaintly not that, the woods quite cheap, which is probs why it's not as sturdy as it should be. But best thing about this product is that it's built for a fair sized cat, which is so hard to find as they're usually really small kitten sized cat trees.

Never seen anything like it and it's a real treat for the eyes. The baskets can shed a bit if the cats scratch them, but that's something most cat trees do in one way or another. I've read a few reviews here saying that the large post is unstable, but those people clearly haven't read the manual properly, where it's clearly marked that a bracket should be attached between the middle basket and the large post. If you don't do this, the post will wobble, but if you do, it's really sturdy!

Some fluff comes off the baskets, but otherwise it's a really good and sturdy cat tree. The cat is happy! ❤️
