People, cats! The old, good and beloved Purizon dry food recipe is back! The zip bag is back too! Make sure you check which variant you’re ordering! My cats like both versions, but they were eagerly waiting for their favourite one to return! The old version is the one with 70% animal ingredients (the new one has 65%).

The best food for my kitty

My cat ate Purizon his whole life. Around April, the formula changed and it completely messed up his digestive system. The cat has diarrhoea and goes outside the litter box. All tests came back normal, changing the food helped. I tried several batches. It's a disaster, now I'm searching for a new food…

I bought Purizon Fish because it had a good recipe and didn’t contain that cursed yucca. Now, from the very first serving, my cat has had diarrhoea and vomiting. The previous formula was much better. It’s a shame I bought 6.5kg—now it’ll go in the bin, and for over two years she ate it with no problems. Shame on the manufacturer.

I've been feeding my cat the grain-free fish variety for half a year now; it doesn't contain any chicken, grains, preservatives, or colourings. My cat really likes it and has been happily eating it for six months.

The new food is a disaster and I won't be buying it again. It's very hard, and the cats are really reluctant to eat this stuff. The packaging doesn't have a zip-lock closure either.

Tragedy, I bought several kilos of a few different flavours and they won't even touch them. They used to eat them like crazy before.

They've changed the recipe and added potato, which my cat isn't allowed to have. So now I have to look for something else again..

A really nice-looking product and the cats enjoy eating it, plus it doesn’t have a strong smell, which at least in our case usually keeps them away from the bowl, so in that respect it passed the test well. All in all, an exceptionally good product.

Before, both cats used to eat it gladly, but now neither of them really likes it anymore.

One of my three cats is allergic to chicken. Since we do free feeding at home (there’s always dry food available), I can’t really manage to feed them different foods. Usually, monoprotein foods cost a fortune, so I was really happy when I found Zooplus’s own-brand foods, which are only slightly more expensive than the regular chicken ones but are excellent quality (Smilla rabbit, and this one too). They all eat both happily, and the allergic cat has no symptoms.

Our cat has been eating Purizon for a long time, but after buying a new bag, it's been a nightmare – diarrhoea, vomiting... I hope the manufacturer does something about this, because I’m seeing more and more similar complaints. Maybe it’s worth sending a sample to the health authorities.

We’ve been feeding our three cats with Purizon food for 8.5 years. If a pet food company wants to ruin its entire brand, they could definitely learn from these guys on how to do it. Since the last batch, my cats have been constantly vomiting and having diarrhoea. Maybe they should have just kept raising the prices—we put up with that before—but we really don’t want to become regulars at the vet. It would have been worth informing owners about the changes in the food’s ingredients; now almost all of them contain poultry, and even the meat has been swapped out.

The new version is a complete disaster. The cats don’t want to eat it, and what happens to their tummies after eating it is just tragic. Diarrhoea, horribly smelly stools. Three quarters of the bag ended up in the bin—I didn’t even want to poison the stray cats I feed with it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
