My cat Zira has had urinary problems due to stress for years so I was very excited to test this product as this brand is well known.As soon as I opened the bag Zira was going crazy!I have been feeding her for over a month and I honestly can say it works!No problems so far so I definitely will be buying this product .Its cheaper than trips to vets ! I received this product for free as part of a Home Tester Club product test.

I have been feeding my 13yr old neutered female cat Hills Urinary C/D for a few years as she tolerated it better than Royal Canin S/O & it's a bit cheaper, altho she still vomited on a few occasions but not often. It helped clear up her bout of UTI crystals. However this past few months (Aug 2025) the new batch has caused her to vomit every day & upsets her stomach. I do not know if Hills has changed the formula but once I took her off these biscuits the vomiting stopped.

I can’t get my cat to eat it. It was recommended by the vet, after my cat had crystals in his urine and a blockage. I tried mixing it with other food, with wet food, he just won’t eat it. My other cat won’t eat it either 😢

Due to our cat having a urinary tract infection, we have been using this brand for over 7 years. She loves it and enjoys breakfast and dinner. The have a wide range of dry and wet food in different flavours.

She has a urinary tract problem and needs a urinary care product. So they both have the same food, tried a couple of different urinary care providers but this is the only one that they smash through.

My cat has FIC, so he eats this food for almost 2 years.

Having placed the ocean fish and the chicken nibbles in front of my cat, he always opted for the chicken nibbles. Naturally the chicken ran out far quicker hence I am ordering several more.

This is a fantastic food product for cats who have a urinary tract problem, my furry friend nearly died 12 years ago and has been on this diet since, he is now nearly 14 and it is owed to a good diet of hills prescription food, thank you, it is an expensive product from the vets and zooplus have always had the most competitive prices

One of my male cats doesn't like this food and is often sick when fed with it. However the vet recommended it to help prevent his urinary problem so I have changed to tinned wet food and a little of this food on top. Seems to tolerate this OK now.

One of my cats was put on this diet as he suffered from struvite crystals... yes he likes it, but the bonus is that all my other cats like it aswell, so no fights and well cats..

My girls love this and now won't eat any other dry food! And zooplus has the best price!

However, this food should not be given to cats who do not have struvite crystals / alkaline urine as it could have a detrimental effect, thus achieve the opposite result in the long term(i-e formation of oxalates). Moreover, Hill's C.D prescription diet should only be fed for 3 months at the most--vet's recommendations.

Having nearly killed my old cat by giving it a TV recommended brand of dry food, Sir T. developed urine crystals and needed a major opeation. My vet at the PDSA recommended that he be fed this food, which he loves as does my 2nd cat and any strays that pass eat HILLS rather than anything else,,,,It must be good.

Our long-time vet recommended this dry food for our senior tomcat, who suddenly started having serious urinary tract problems. Since he’s been mainly eating this food, he’s been doing well again and hasn’t had any more issues. Our cat really likes eating this food. The wet food version from the same brand, which is also supposed to help prevent urinary problems, he completely ignores because it’s just inedible... and it smells just as bad...

All my cats are on it, and they've made huge progress with how much they enjoy their food.

This brand was recommended to me by the vet for my dog, who had struvite problems, as a preventive measure. Both he and his sister, who is usually picky, really like them. They've been taking them for months, so I assume they're working.

These kibbles for sterilised cats are very good quality, but the price is too high.

My cats have been eating the CD kibble for years and it works great for them.

Miți was sick, she ate Hill’s Urinary, but she didn’t really like it, she prefers and loves Natural Greatness - urinary struvite.

Rocket had kidney blockages three times and had to be hospitalised at the vet each time. Since they've been eating these kibbles, I give them to both cats—it's easier—and there have been no more problems 🤞

Product works well

We’re happy with the offer of an economical pack. However, we regret the yearly price increase for this product. We have no choice but to buy it because of the urinary health issues our cat has had. It’s a shame to have to deal with the high cost of this kind of product.
