Poor quality

Changed the treats recipe ,out cats don’t like that anymore…….still have 2 new big tubes at home .Then buying different treats instead 😂
Chicken (3 x 200g)

Change of Recipe , product is now 💩

I agree with all the other reviewers about the fact that they have changed something . My fur babies (3)beloved these , and now they begrudgingly eat a few ... I need to find an alternative that is similarly priced but more like the original recipe, white , crumbly pieces of delicious irresistible chicken

Won’t be buying again

Agree with the other reviews… After buying these for years, I won’t be buying them again. The colour and texture has changed, and my cats won’t go anywhere near them, whereas they’d previously fight me for the tin. The formula has definitely changed (see uploaded photo.. tall tin is the new ones), as shown by the list on the tin, despite the manufacturer claiming otherwise.
White Fish (3 x 110g)

Why change the recipe

I have purchased these for around 8years. Which my cats love.. noticed the tins have changed..but also and most inportantly the contents. Does not look same colour and recipe must have changed..both my cats wont eat this now..i also buy this in the chicken..but afraid to do so now..incase they changed this one too...very expensive to have to bin it..please go back to old recipe. When i first starting getting this it was only £ 9.99..look at price now.

New Formula? Cats Refuse to Eat Them

Really disappointed with these treats. My three cats used to love them, but the batch I ordered at the start of March is completely different. They look different, seem much harder, and none of my cats will eat them—they just sniff and walk away.I even opened a second pack in case the first was faulty, but it’s the same problem. Now I’m stuck with expensive treats that will go in the bin. Total waste of money, and no clear way to complain or get a refund for unopened pack. Won't be buying again.
Chicken (3 x 200g)

Disgusting

My cat used to love this but now she won’t touch it, I gave a tin to my daughter for stray cats near her and they won’t touch it either, it’s brown and smells disgusting I have never seen brown chicken breast it’s usually white, I now have 5 tins of this rubbish and am going to try and send it back.
Chicken (3 x 200g)

Disgusting

My cat was mad on this but since they changed the formula my cat won’t even look at it she tries to bury it, I now have 5 spare tins even the stray cats won’t touch it 🤬
Chicken (3 x 200g)

What have they done!!! Won't be buying these again!!

I knew it! When I saw a change of packaging, I knew they'd have mucked with the product, too. My fur ball loved these and would only eat his meals if I crushed some in his bowls. Now he actually recoils from them and won't eat his food. As someone said, they've gone the same way as Thrive did and the chicken pieces are a greyish yellow and hard as rocks instead of soft and crumbly and obviously tasty and delicious. My lovely lad won't even go near them. Expensive, too. We're both so sad.
Chicken (3 x 200g)

Poor product

Have tried several tubs and our cat after years of eating this as soon as it appeared won't touch it - wish I checked reviews before I'd bought this. Not a great advert for Zooplus
Chicken (3 x 200g)

Disaster

My 5 cats used to love these but the quality has deteriorated and I’ve switched brands They used to be white and soft, they are now yellow and dry. My cats have voted and now none of them will eat these Cosma may have saved a few pence per box on chicken quality but they’ve cost themselves a fortune from disappointed cat owners

What have you done to the chicken treats?

As the title says. What have you done to these? Yes, there used to be a lot of dust, and they fell apart. You have changed the packaging, not a bad thing, but now the treats are much more solid; they don't break up, there is no dust, not sure how you did it, but the change has changed them completely. Our cats that loved them now will not touch them.

My cat used to love these

I must have the only cat in the world that will not eat meat of any kind, I was getting worried about him losing weight. And then I found the cosma snackies, he will (or would) only eat the chicken, he loved them, but the last 9 tins (I buy subscribe and save) have been greying, sometimes brown and they smell awful. My cat won't attempt to eat them. It has been 4 days since the old batch ran out and the new one came, he is starving but will not eat them. If you don't do something soon he'll die

Disaster!

I’ve been buying these happily for several years for my 5 cats. They used to be a favourite of them all. Now Cosma have done the same as Thrive did last year and changed the recipe. The treats are no longer soft and white. They are yellow and dry and quite simply, ALL of my cats refuse to eat them Proof of this, the tubs are now much taller but still weigh 200g. Recipe must have changed As soon as other cat owners realise this sales will plummet and I now have 5 boxes that I can’t use.

Cats used to love them, now they refuse them

£60 thrown down the drain, so annoying. Normally these used to be large sized, fluffy white pieces of freeze dried chicken. Cats loved them! Then recently something has happened and they're hard, small and grey treats that are crumbly, and much of the can is powdery mess. The cats won't eat these greyish and hard ones, and given they're over 20 quid a can we buy them in bulk (the 3 pack for £60) to save a bit. Well it's very painful to have lost that money, as all 3 cans are these bad ones.

Too many small bits

The chicken used to be very good but now the pack is mostly small bits which aren't easy to feed as treats, if these are XXL the standard size must be powder. Also more hard bits and lower quality with a price increase. Going to try the other brand despite that getting recent poor reviews.

Shockingly Expensive!

My cats love the chicken which I’ve been buying for years despite variations in quality. But the price has repeatedly increased to an silly level. Caviar might be cheaper!

Cost

We bought 3 tubs with the special offer in October for £30. 2 months later they are £60 with a special offer, so the price doubled in 2 months, rip people off much?

Quality has deteriorated

These are now insanely expensive and the quality is shocking. The salmon tubs are 50% dust which my cats don't enjoy.

Used to be great... now ignored

Mixture of hard, dry or clearly distasteful to our two. They used to bite my hand off for the chicken ones - as much a useful thing for summoning them as anything else!

PG

Quality of these has consistantly got worse, have been buying these for years, now the quality is terrible at £106 per kg etc, like someone else says 2/3x price of fillet steak, somebody is taking pet owners for a joke, ridiculous, such a shame my cat LOVES these, or he used to. Get your Quality control sorted out, COSMA

I don't get the bad reviews

Our cats are picky eaters. They fuss about the strangest things, including cat treats, but they've been absolutely crazy about Cosma for years. We have a cat without teeth who struggles with other treats, but she can eat these just fine.

Wildly varying quality

Unfortunately, the quality of these Snackies varies a lot. I've been buying the Maxi Tubes for many years and would love to give them 5 stars. BUT: The quality hasn't been as usual several times now. That's obvious both in how they look and in the fact that all my cats refuse to eat them. At this price, that's just not acceptable. It's such a shame, because they're actually my five furballs' favourite treats. Sadly, I just don't dare to order the Maxi Tubes anymore.

Changed recipe

The new, larger cans contain a different product (chicken). What used to be their favourite treat for years, something my two Coonies would beg for, is now left untouched. I have no idea what they did to the product, but if you have a subscription and suddenly receive something completely different, it's really annoying. My two can still enjoy the last can from the old batch, but after that, unfortunately, we'll have to look for something else. Such a shame!!

Used to be my favourite snack, now a flop

Some time ago, the formula was changed – the consistency and smell have changed. Since then, neither of my cats likes it anymore and I have to switch to alternative products. Such a shame!!

Product has changed

I only noticed something was different when I saw the other tin size. My cat wouldn’t touch it anymore, even though she used to love it. Now I prefer to buy the green tin with chicken that has the other chunk size.

new content

Unfortunately, the product has been completely changed. It now smells totally neutral and no longer like fish! The cats aren't interested in it anymore! Also, the Snackies are completely crumbly.

Poor quality

No matter which variety, I won’t touch it anymore since the product change with more crude ash etc. I’ve cancelled my subscription. I always used to buy a lot in advance. Now, nothing. Maybe the developers should reconsider going back to the old formula—then I’d be happy to buy again.

Unfortunately, the quality has declined

The last can I ordered was already different from before. I just read the recent reviews and realised it wasn’t just me – apparently, the recipe has changed and the quality has gone down. Previously, the chunks were nice and loose, and would crumble easily when pressed with your fingers. Now they’ve become much harder. Unfortunately, I’ll probably have to look for another food. Such a shame, I’ve been ordering for many years.

The quality has worsened (XXL tuna)

Recently, the quality of the tuna-flavoured treats has gotten worse – there are lots of hard pieces that my cat refuses to eat.

Noticeably worse.

A few days ago, I opened my last delivery – the slimmer, taller tins, as I always order in bulk for my 6 cats. These snackies weren’t even glanced at by 5 of my cats, let alone eaten. Only my Filippa actually tried to eat them, but even she did so reluctantly. I don’t think I’ll be buying Cosma again.

Poor quality

My cats used to love these, but the quality has really gone downhill. The pieces are dark, many of them seem mouldy, they don’t crumble anymore but are hard, etc. Some pieces are still eaten, but most of them are simply not acceptable. They’ve always been an expensive treat, but these days the price-quality ratio is definitely way off.

A product that's different from the usual

I bought it again, this time a large can, and as it turned out after opening, the product isn’t very fresh—it gives off a strange oily smell and my cat won’t eat it. The expiry date is the end of September 2026. I’m disappointed with the product.

Does anyone at ZOO PLUS actually read these reviews???

The product line was changed at the beginning of the year, and since then, not only my cats don't like it anymore. Before, it was their absolute favourite treat... unfortunately, they're no longer excited about it. We would love to have the "old" product back 🙏🏼

The recipe must have changed. The cats won't touch it anymore.

We are really disappointed. Our cats used to love these freeze-dried chicken pieces more than anything else. We ordered a lot to keep in stock. At some point, the tins got bigger and since then, the pieces seem to have changed completely. They used to be pure white, but now they're more yellowish. The cats won't touch them anymore. Now we've got 5 XXL tins that we have to throw away.

Says whitefish on the label, but it's salmon inside

The Whitefish variety no longer contains the more expensive, firm and less smelly whitefish, but with our last orders it always had smelly, crumbly salmon. In my opinion, this is mislabelled. Zooplus should urgently look into this supplier. We certainly won't be buying this anymore.
