Valerian not for our cats
Neither of our cats liked the smell of valerian but, after washing, several days out in torrential rain and liberal amounts of catnip, they now love it and take turns giving it a serious workout. Still looks perfect.
lasts longer than similar toys
Unlike most herbal toys, this one seems to keep its properties for weeks. It didn't seem popular at first, but certain cat fans still periodically engage in make-out sessions with it. They seem to enjoy the fragrance more than I do.
