Both my cats love the toy, so it's actually recommendable. However, I can only give it 2 stars because the "stiff" feathers are partially "sharp-edged". I wouldn't pull it away if even a single feather is in their mouth.

This fishing rod is worth the money; my two cats go crazy for it like bees around honey. Last year, I only managed to buy one from this manufacturer at the pet expo (breeder recommendation). It came with a little fur piece and a leather tassel, and it’s still holding up, even though the fur is completely worn out. Now, there’s finally a replacement. The feathers on this one are irresistible, and I always have to hide it in the cupboard after playtime so it lasts a bit longer. I’m glad I can now stock up here. It would be even better if the other models were available here too. Definitely recommended, even for proper little rascals!

I have one of those cats that likes to play (noisily) by herself after lights out, but will only half-heartedly push a toy around if I happen to be in the same room. Little will tempt her to play with me, although she's affectionate in every other respect. Whether she's shy, cool or is just torturing me, I don't know. However, this toy always gets a reaction and I get at least 10 minutes worth of boisterous play with her each evening when I wave the feather in her face or swish the stick around. Whether it's irritation or pleasure that engages her I haven't quite worked out, but at least with the feather dancer I get to SEE her have some exercise, rather than just HEAR her antics at 3am...

Absolutely brilliant! My Maine Coons (3) play with it for hours and just can’t get enough of it. Definitely worth the money. I can only recommend it.

Our cat's favourite toy – she immediately jumps a metre into the air when this thing is taken off the shelf. However, the fishing rod doesn’t last longer than a month (it’s used almost daily), and the colour of the feathers rubs off.

Finally, a fishing rod that lasts and lasts and lasts. All three of my indoor cats are crazy about it!!!

This thing is amazing. We don’t have the long feathers anymore, but the fishing rod is still THE absolute favourite toy!

My one-year-old female cat goes absolutely bananas when I bring this one out. If I let her, she would literally kill herself playing with it: even when she's wheezing for breath she still chases after it!

My two Coonies just can't get enough of the wand! They play until they're completely worn out... and then over and over again. Conclusion: Absolutely worth the money and really sturdy.

This feather wand is absolutely brilliant! My little tiger loves it to bits and could play with it for hours. Her favourite thing is when I hide it and then let it rustle loudly and dart out just before she finds it. A truly fantastic toy. It's also sturdier than the classic feather wand, though not indestructible.

Playing with this toy isn’t just fun for the cats. It’s the only toy that drives both of them equally crazy. You can’t slow them down, no matter how long you play. They never lose interest. There’s growling and hissing involved. Unfortunately, playing with feathers always comes with some losses. But that’s just something you have to accept. Our first wand has lasted about three months, but it’s starting to need replacing. The second one has already been ordered. Despite the high price, it’s an unforgettable, incomparable joy!

I have two cats, and with one of them, the problem was always that she found almost every toy boring. Today, I got the Feather Dancer, and she’s absolutely crazy about it! I already have to hide it on the cupboard so she can calm down a bit. Highly recommended!!!!

After initially being a bit shy, my cat is now absolutely thrilled with this play wand and ignores everything else. I bought the play wand about 2 months ago, and most of the long feathers have been chewed off, but at this price, I think that's fine. Otherwise, it's a very sturdy toy.

I have to leave another review now. I’ve already mentioned before that my tomcat is absolutely crazy about the wand toy. Unfortunately, such a wand doesn’t last very long because my cat hasn’t quite grasped that he’s not a rodent :-))) and he chews exactly at the spot where the feather is attached to the wand, which sadly doesn’t hold up for long. Such a shame :-((( and at this price, the cat obviously doesn’t get a feather dancer all the time.

I have to agree with another review here – it really is "hunt till you drop"!!! I'm going to order another one as a backup right away, because with how crazy our boys are about it, even the sturdiest toy will probably end up in pieces at some point. Every penny is worth it!

My two furry friends are absolutely thrilled – and so am I! They dash around the flat like crazy and get excited every single time I take the wand out of the drawer. They can hardly wait to play with it! I have to store the toy wand safely on a regular basis because they just can’t stop chasing after it. Absolutely brilliant, so it’s 5 stars from me – even my tomcat, who isn’t usually playful, can’t stay put in his spot anymore!

There's nothing better, I've already tried various fishing rods, but I haven't had to put any of them away since, just so the two tomcats can take a break ;-) As soon as I take it out of the cupboard, there's no stopping them.

Our Leni finds it rather scary. But Charly is absolutely crazy about this sturdy fluffy wand! The sound it makes when the feather fluff swooshes through the air really gets the little one going, and he chases and jumps until he’s completely worn out and out of breath. When he’s “caught” the feather dancer, he proudly drags it around – and hauls it up onto his scratching post.
