Catsan Active Fresh Clumping Litter

This is like concrete stuck to the bottom of the cat litter tray - save your money.

When these were delivered,the box content was spilled all over the place,but that could be due to bad handling. The litter itself is very rocky and big,doesn't form into nice clumps,therefore rather difficult to clean

Ticks all the boxes for me and my cats,good clumping qualities and excellent odour control, a bit pricey is all but does last

Solidifies into heavy welded-on 'concrete'-type lumps; difficult to remove from litter trays without a metal shovel. Definately found myself with more work and more frequent tray inspections! Not for the multi-cat household. (nor me!)

I have literally tried every cat litter on the market and this is the best by far.My cats refuse to go outside and 1 of them is very sensitive to smells and textures of the litter.This is definitely our favourite.

This litter is the worst...clumps and welds itself to the bottom of the litter box...cracked the box trying to get it off and had to throw an entire box away!! Do not recommend!!

I found this litter awful, I clean my cats tray regularly during the day but the litter sets like cement and is difficult to scoop the clumps out. I will not be buying this again.

A friend recommended this and it's works great! I don't notice any cat urine smell and it has a pleasant fresh scent but not overpowering... the clumps are easy to remove and a pack lasts for quite a while... I will definitely buy again!

I tried Active Fresh and it works great! I don't notice any bad odours and it forms clumps that are easy to remove. There's hardly any dust and my cat doesn't track it through my flat. Will definitely buy again!

The only positive I have for this litter is that it smells nice. The litter does clump - however in my experience, the uring seems to flow through to the base of the litter tray before it absorbs and therefore not only is the clump spread out like a puddle (rather than a ball shape), it also ends up stuck to the bottom of the tray and I am spending more time than I would like daily scrapping the "clumps" off the bottom of the tray as they break up and have to sift over and over to get it out

We've recently swapped to the clumping Catsan and wish we'd done it years ago - our spare room is no longer permanently coated in a layer of fine grey dust :-) Using litter tray liners helps to save any 'unused' litter and cleaning the tray out is so much easier. We have a large tray and find a box of litter lasts a week - would definitely recommend.

My cat is picky and likes the litter extremely clean. Lua loves this clumping and me too. It is easy to maintain and odour free for a longer time. For me worth the price and I recommend.

Easy to use, clean and mess free. No unpleasant odour. Definitely the best I've tried.

It clumps urine into large pieces and is low in dust. HOWEVER it has poor absorbency; white clay sticks to the litter tray like chewing gum can stick to hair making it hard to clean the litter tray. Be prepared to use a new little tray every week - it sticks that bad! Does not tackle bad odours at all. Clay is so bad that it has to be disposed of, if you wash the litter tray and throw leftover contents (stubbornly stuck to the base) in the gutter, you will block the gutter within a week.

Been looking for a while for a good clumping cat litter that's not messy and easily carried out of the tray, doesn't smell unpleasant and doesn't turn to a sticky concrete when soiled. This ticks every box so far. Only downside is that it's a little pricey but does last longer than others I have used. Only further purchases will confirm how economical it is in the long run, but definitely willing to find out.

Terrible packaging and terrible transport conditions, all the boxes were broken in several places, causing the contents to spill out even from the outer packaging. The product is still excellent!

The litter breaks up into tiny clumps that fall through a scoop with large holes, but with a scoop with small holes, the grains are too big to fit, so you end up throwing away clean litter too. It doesn't clump at all. The litter box smells of ammonia, so it doesn't absorb odours either. It's nowhere near as good as Ever Clean. Ended up in the bin.

This Catsan Active Fresh is absolutely top-notch, it clumps really firmly. Catsan Nature is also excellent, doesn’t smell and clumps well too, just a bit dusty. Among the cheaper options, Sanicat with Marseille soap is good as well, clumps nicely and doesn’t smell. Ages ago, Zverlit used to be good, but I just don’t get how they could mess up the formula so badly that it now smells awful really quickly, even if you clean it three times a day. Over the years, I’ve tried loads of different litters.

The litter is perfect, I have nothing to complain about. It clumps really well and even smells nice, so it's spot on 👌🏻. But honestly, the delivery... one of the bags arrived open, please make an effort.

Too expensive at zooplus, you’re better off buying them somewhere else. They do work very well though.

The worst cat litter I’ve ever had – it doesn’t stick to the waste, so cleaning it is a nightmare and the smell is awful. The urine just runs to the bottom and forms one big clump that breaks apart when you try to clean it, and of course, it stinks. On top of that, it sticks to the cat’s paws and ends up everywhere. I’d give it zero stars if I could. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!

Great product for all my cats

I don’t understand where all the positive reviews come from. It’s coarse-grained and gets everywhere in the flat. The odour absorption leaves a lot to be desired, although it’s not a total disaster. The only plus is that it doesn’t create dust, but that’s mainly thanks to the large grains. I bought it based on the positive opinions, but my experience is completely different. I don’t recommend it.

It doesn’t clump well. Even though we clean the litter box every day (and we only have one cat), the pee that looks like it’s clumped falls apart as soon as you scoop it, leaving some litter behind in the box and causing a bad smell (the box has a closed steel tray).

I’m really very happy with this cat litter! My cat took to it straight away and clearly feels comfortable with it. It clumps well, reliably reduces odours, and makes cleaning so much easier. My cat also seems more relaxed overall – we’re both completely satisfied!

This litter is non-clumping and it sticks everywhere at the bottom of the tray. On top of that, the litter bags were given to us with holes in them, causing a lot of loss... The delivery is really not reliable. Apparently, there are a lot of reviews similar to mine on Zooplus.

As a product, it does its job, but the litter needs to be cleaned after every use, otherwise it smells. It clumps fairly well, but for the high price I expected more.

Hardly any dust and even after three weeks it still looks like new. Thanks to the large granules, hardly anything gets tracked out of the litter box. The odour control is excellent – out of all the expensive brands I’ve tried so far, this is definitely the best.
