Curver Transport Box

Used for many years. Sturdy. Aesthetically pleasing. Great handle. I have issues with my hands but with this box I can comfortably carry it on my forearm. The mechanism eventually broke but that was because someone forced it, not knowing how it worked (I was really miffed). Have the matching Curver litter tray. Still going strong 13 years later. I think the carry box would be too.

Really easy to manoeuvre the cat in and out of and very robust design. Great looking product too.

Our cat broke through a seal on the carrier and escaped during the first use. So we have spent a load of money on a broken box. Amazing. Did they even test this on cats?

I have used these for years. Very easy to use and wash out. If they made a more sturdy locking mechanism I'd have given it five stars. I like the small opening so you can stroke the pet without it escaping

Although the carrier is a good size and lightweight the fastener/lock is fragile and mine broke after the second use.

This is really a great travel carrier. It's easy to get your cat in and it closes well. But... one of my cats still manages to escape every time through the small (feeding/petting) flap on top. This flap is also less secure/doesn't lock as well.

My cat liked it straight away. We haven’t actually used it for transport yet, but it looks solid and very elegant! I have a British Shorthair, she weighs almost 5kg.

I can confirm the previous reviews – it’s definitely worth securing the petting flap during travel. Other than that, the carrier is really nice. At first, it does smell a bit like plastic. However, I’m a bit disappointed that zooplus didn’t secure the carrier in the package. It was just thrown into the box. As a result, the top part popped out of the latch, right where the petting flap is. Luckily, I managed to fix it, but the top part is still slightly bent.

It’s sturdy and the locking mechanism feels more secure than the one I had before. In other words, it works just as expected. My little furry friend probably would have liked to look out the back and the sides under the handle. Similar openings to the door would be desirable, really.

This basket is quite sturdy, but it's too heavy and the closure isn't practical. It might be suitable for transporting a small cat weighing up to 4kg at most.

My 6-month-old kitten pushed it open with his head in a blind panic in the car. So it's really dangerous.

I've been using this for a few years now. The cat is well protected in the carrier. The lid can be opened in several ways and locked so it doesn't accidentally open. The carrier can be secured with a seatbelt in the car. The handle folds down by pressing where it's attached on each side. It's not suitable for carrying over longer distances. In that case, I recommend buying a transport bag instead. A big advantage is that the entire lid can be removed, making it easy to lift the cat out of the carrier. I put a small sheepskin in the carrier.

Basically a very good cage with plenty of space, except that the edges on the inside of the lid are extremely sharp hard plastic. The cage is soft on the outside edges but not on the inside, unfortunately. One of my cats, who is very nervous, panicked and hurt her nose on the sharp edges – hence the lower rating.
