Catit Cabrio Transport Box

We been using these for 20+ years. We’ve never had a problem putting together or aligning. Bought one last year. On the door we always put a clasp/clip to make sure the door doesn’t open or if it does accidentally open it will remain shut so kitties are safe and secure.

I wish that I'd believed the bad reviews, the Catit Cabrio Transport Box is the worst carrier I've ever owned. It was difficult to put together as the parts that should clip together or slot in don't align properly, the only good thing is that it opens easily. Because it doesn't line up properly it's difficult to close, it takes two people. One to try and line everything up, while the other closes the clips. I doubt that it will last long and won't be buying any spare parts for it.

I was excited to get our new cat carrier as id heard good things on line. It took me a while to work out how to put together. The top is made of cheap plastic which doesn’t slot together easily. So I can’t really put my cat in the top as it takes so long to close it. Terrible quality for such an amount of money.

I bought this cat crate mainly for the top-opening design, hoping it would help with my anxious cat. Unfortunately, assembly was frustrating — the instructions weren’t clear and parts didn’t fit well. The top door, the main selling point, doesn’t align properly after setup. It’s hard to open and close, which only adds stress for my cat. The plastic also feels flimsy and might crack with use. I really wanted to like this crate, but the poor design and build quality are disappointing.

Used it very occasionally, 3-4 times a year. After 5 years the plastic catch has broken beyond repair.

We've had two of these carriers, and find them great. We have ragdolls, one 7kg and another 8kg, and this carrier stands up to the job. We leave one of them out in the lounge, and they enjoy laying in it as a bed, too. It's a little tricky to out together, but once you have built it, it's nice and sturdy.

These have got worse since I first bought one...flimsy, door broke and now has to be zip tied or be binned. Too expensive for that. Had two that broke easily. Need another carrier and wouldn't buy this...poor quality for the money.

The top opening is great for our nervous kitties as the vet can access them easily. We use to put our two younger cats in (combined weight around 9kg) and just purchased a second for our older cat. No issues with fastenings or the security of the carrier, makes a trip with all three cats easier as two in one means no going back and forth the car. Could be a bit better quality for the cost, as the fastenings don’t feel as secure as they have been but overall happy enough to purchase a second.

We have transported a 5.5kg elderly cat alone and our 2 kittens together in this carrier and they are all happy in there. I like the way the car seatbelt goes easily through the handle and maybe we got a good one, but am not sure what other reviewers mean by the plastic flexing - this is rigid and feels secure. The vet likes these as she can open the top to access our old boy and can do a lot without even taking him out.

bought 2 of these 1first came apart when the door catch just flew open smashing the door and i know i closed it properly because of my fears so check 4 times at least,then second catch the same lasted 8 months wouldn’t have another,advice against.

This is made from very flimsy plastic which we have struggled to line up properly. I only have have a ragdoll kitten, but once he’s a few months old this is definitely not going to last. Such a shame for a product that’s so expensive. I had the same carrier 10 years ago and that was very solid. It looks like they’ve cut corners on quality and thickness of plastic this time around.

i already have your carrier i love it but the window on the carrier is all scratched so i would like to order two carriers one blue and one pink when they come in

I have tried various soft and hard carriers with varying failure to either support the cat in it or to have it waggle about too much when carrying. I love these. Strong, well designed and no wobble even if the cat is doing the wall of death inside. Top loading is perfect and as another review said, with nervous cats no need to drag them out of the front.

I’ve had one of these carriers for many years it is sturdy and has transported both my large cats many many times, in addition I use it occasionally for a cat rescue to collect strays and abandoned pusses. It has never let me down. It is perfect for any cats that don't want to come out when you get to the vet as you just open the top and lift them out! It’s is lovely and spacious for bigger cats. Easy to clean. I am quite surprised at the negative reviews. 5* from me!

Purchased this as it was the only carrier I could find that didn't have iron bars the cat could poke her paws out of.. but turns out we can't really use it. The plastic is brittle and looks like it wants to break under the weight of my 6 kg cat. Not happy with the product.

Easily the best carrier I.ve ever had (and I.ve had a lot) sooo much easier to get the cat out at the vets by opening the top than trying to fight through a door ! Vet can even exam the cat IN the box if their very scared. I keep the door tied shut for safety reasons. (Not that there is anything wrong with it) would highly recommend. Will be purchasing another one soon

I purchased this carrier after reading a review, I only use it to transport a cat to the vets so two to three times a year the carrier is week even with a 4kg cat in, it flexes you have to support the bottom the carrier is difficult to undo at the top, and doesn't, line up to close and requires some nifty hand work whilst trying to keep a cat in the carrier the door flexes way to much and after 2 uses the whole plastic door clip came away whilst I was at the vets its also heavy and awkwar to

I have to admit, I really liked it. We travel quite a lot and I feel very safe taking the cat in this carrier. It's sturdy, lets in plenty of light, and you can optionally put food inside. The only downside is the weight. My cat is small (4kg) and it gets heavy to carry him for a long time, plus the carrier is tricky to hold with one hand because of its size. The long handle it comes with is useless, since it's so wide you can't sling it over your shoulder, and the cat would end up swinging around.

The worst I've ever had, even the ones from the Chinese shops are better. It breaks apart completely.

I own 2 Cabriom carriers. Unfortunately, the plastic is poor quality—the latch crumbles in your hands after 2 years just sitting around, and I only used it twice. The white plastic turns an ugly yellow :( and the top latch never really closed properly :( Both carriers had the same problem.

I don’t recommend it. Very poor quality carrier. The plastic is flimsy and brittle. I kept it for 4 years only because I didn’t want to throw it out after paying so much for it. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Review: For the high price, we definitely expected more. On warm days, the heat builds up massively in this box, which is absolutely unbearable and dangerous for any animal. The ventilation is simply inadequate. We now only use the box in spring, autumn, and winter. It’s completely unsuitable for summer. Wouldn’t recommend buying it for warm days.

Couldn't assemble the transporter because the top parts didn't fit together at all. A disaster and not even cheap.

Spacious and comfortable carrier, ideal for larger tomcats. The closure is secure, and there are food and water bowls on the door that can be easily removed to create more space inside. A good choice for more timid animals. The box itself is a bit heavy on its own.
