I bought this cat crate mainly for the top-opening design, hoping it would help with my anxious cat. Unfortunately, assembly was frustrating — the instructions weren’t clear and parts didn’t fit well. The top door, the main selling point, doesn’t align properly after setup. It’s hard to open and close, which only adds stress for my cat. The plastic also feels flimsy and might crack with use. I really wanted to like this crate, but the poor design and build quality are disappointing.

Used it very occasionally, 3-4 times a year. After 5 years the plastic catch has broken beyond repair.

We've had two of these carriers, and find them great. We have ragdolls, one 7kg and another 8kg, and this carrier stands up to the job. We leave one of them out in the lounge, and they enjoy laying in it as a bed, too. It's a little tricky to out together, but once you have built it, it's nice and sturdy.

These have got worse since I first bought one...flimsy, door broke and now has to be zip tied or be binned. Too expensive for that. Had two that broke easily. Need another carrier and wouldn't buy this...poor quality for the money.

The top opening is great for our nervous kitties as the vet can access them easily. We use to put our two younger cats in (combined weight around 9kg) and just purchased a second for our older cat. No issues with fastenings or the security of the carrier, makes a trip with all three cats easier as two in one means no going back and forth the car. Could be a bit better quality for the cost, as the fastenings don’t feel as secure as they have been but overall happy enough to purchase a second.

The size is accurate, and the fact that it opens from the top is perfect. However, getting pure plastic for this price is borderline acceptable. Over the years, you notice that the opening becomes stiff and already squeaks. It will probably need to be replaced soon. Whether I’ll spend the money on it again is highly questionable.

We have transported a 5.5kg elderly cat alone and our 2 kittens together in this carrier and they are all happy in there. I like the way the car seatbelt goes easily through the handle and maybe we got a good one, but am not sure what other reviewers mean by the plastic flexing - this is rigid and feels secure. The vet likes these as she can open the top to access our old boy and can do a lot without even taking him out.

Safer than small cheap boxes and plenty of space for the animals. However, the box has a very high weight on its own, so with a tomcat you quickly reach a total weight of 10 kg. Due to its size, it’s also relatively bulky. That’s why I personally wouldn’t buy it again. But if you’re strong or really need it for flying, it’s a good box.

Ordered another one of these boxes again. The box I bought about 10 years ago was great, but this one leaves a lot to be desired for the price – my tomcat tears it apart. I’m using it for the female cats, and it’s just about okay for them. Didn’t believe the reviews. Such a shame.

Stylish, great, and the top opening is very practical. I'm actually very satisfied, but I would have wished for it to be sturdier. The only drawback.

I have to say, I've had many transport boxes before, but this one is the best. My tomcat sleeps during transport, and you can feed or provide water to the cat from the outside, whether at the vet or on holiday trips. My tomcat willingly goes into the box and even willingly goes back in again. My cat still needs to understand that the box doesn't harm her.

Great, best product so far. I would love a larger model for big tomcats.

After our cat broke out of an older transport box, I started looking for something larger and sturdier and found this one to be suitable. The size is really great. Our 8kg cat fits perfectly inside. However, the quality doesn't live up to the price. It's been mentioned several times that the roof parts don't close properly. And today, our cat managed to break the door latch. His determination to escape was stronger than the plastic part. Box broken and therefore useless.

We've had our box for 8 years now, and I can only recommend it. We have a British Shorthair tomcat who fits perfectly inside with his sturdy build. It's also very practical for vet visits since you can open it from the top, and he can even be partially examined in the "familiar and secure box"! Well, now the kids have broken the latch on the front door, so we'll definitely be getting this box again!

The clasp won’t last long, it’s a plastic clip closure, and assembling it was a pain. If I hadn’t had to take my cat to the vet, I would have returned the item.

I'm disappointed; I'll use it for our little mouse, but for our cat, who weighs almost 7kg, I'll get a sturdier box.

After much hesitation, I tried it and it's recommendable! It even accommodates 5.5 kg pure-muscle tomcats. Take a bit of time during the initial setup and make the hinges move smoothly with a bit of wax => done! By the way, the opening at the top is an emergency exit (e.g. for a severely cramping animal) and not a standard entrance. The brackets and additional lock positions are well thought out, and it can be carried in front of the stomach with a strap for short distances. Thank you :)

Unfortunately, the negative reviews are accurate – it's not worth the price. Returning it.

bought 2 of these 1first came apart when the door catch just flew open smashing the door and i know i closed it properly because of my fears so check 4 times at least,then second catch the same lasted 8 months wouldn’t have another,advice against.
