It’s empty in here!
I ordered this as I'm trying to find not-too-expensive wet food for my 2 not-very-fussy cats. Sadly, 1 of them wouldn't touch more than a mouthful and the other walked out of the kitchen. I hadn't realised it was 'totally solid' food (a bit like Wild Freedom), and it seems my cats won't tolerate the texture or smell (it's very strong - Poultry Pot variety). 5 remaining tins are all going to the local Cats Rescue now.
Initially the cats ate this so stupidly I bought enough to fill the back end of our garage. After the first couple of tins, they won't touch it now unfortunately. On the upside, our friendly garden fox loves it.
Smilla food has always gone down well with the kittens and mature cats in this house. I mix it with supermarket brands sometimes to make it all go a litttle further. The cats seem to find this version of supermarket food FAR more appealing! I had to re-home the kittens and a couple went to a lovely rescue home (warmer than my home!). They received so many compliments about their shiny coats and healthy demeanour. I gave them the best start I could. Thanks Smilla.
My female dsh cant get enough of this tin food she loves all varieties. Also likes the Smilla biscuits , i left the bag out big mistakes as she bit it and ate loads!! No more help your self in this house so had to put her food in a big plastic box!!
Five out of five cats wont touch it. Not the most successful of purchases :(
Looked good, the price right, we put it in the bowl... and the little devil wouldn't do more than sniff it.Then howled every time after, till I gave in and fed him his usual. Food went to the shelter, maybe they'll have better luck than we did.
both kittens seem to have gone off this at the same time. Tolerated it to start with but now won't touch it even when they're hungry ..
The tender chicken tins go down better, and they all seem to love the tuna and sardine tins. They are not as dry as the tuna only ones. I rotate tins randomly with other 3 wet food brands, so that I won't be stuck when they stop eating one for some strange reason we humans will never get.
My cat loves this. It is quite dry so you should add water to it when you serve it (I always add water to my cat's food anyway). My cat is very fussy and gets bored easily so I only feed him a little of this every now and then.
Cats refuse to touch it, great price for a trial pack though!
I work as a catsitter so when my cats don't touch food I take it off with me on the job and try it on ones, with permission from the owner. Most cats devour tuna. Out of the 20 cats I have tried the damn multipack I bought on, NONE will touch it. At most one bite. This includes the scrawny strays I feed. The ingredients look good on the tin but very funny inside the tin. And the smell is bizarre. Like burned plastic.
My five furry fiends eat anything, this however proved to be the exception. Two of them manage a couple of mouthfuls and that's as far as it goes! Looks like I'll be passing these on and restocking Cosma and Catessy. At least I still had Sanabelle to save them from starvation!
My cat wouldn't touch this food, she took one sniff and walked away. I left it down all day but she didn't take one bite. Wasted my money!
I gave my cats the fish variety pack and they just won't touch the food, they would rather starve. Normally they like other brands of tuna cat food, but not this one.
Foolishly bought the enormous tins not realising quite how big they were. food is very dry very difficult to get out of the tin, cats didn't really like it stuck with loads of giant tins now, not sure what to do with them
My cat really enjoys this, he does get bored so I only order the 200g tins. He eats this food when put down and often 'screams' to say more please. It has also had the seal of approval from a sneaky doggy. I will be ordering more trial packs, I simply don't need the amount required to order each flavour individually.
Only tried the Tuna one of this mixed pack so far but the cat doesn't like its texture/smell very much. I will try him again next week but I don't think I will be ordering this again. One good thing though, the dog who is very fussy normally, finished what the cat didn't want.
I'm so happy to finally have found a wet food my cat eats instantly! Usually it takes her an entire day to eat 80gr, but with this she finished all of it in 15 minutes!!
All my cats initially tucked in, but after a couple of bites, three have refused to eat any more and only the greedy one who eats anything will eat it, so it's all hers! I wonder if the smell puts them off, as it's very fishy. Anyway, needless to say I won't be buying this again!
Hi, my ragdoll loves kitten 200 G smilla pots, chicken 400 g are ok too, but those fish pots are super dry and my cat who is no fussy at all are it only mixed with different pot. Not recommended sorry
