My 3 cats seemed to love this
Despite reading a lot of the reviews, my cats seemed to love this. Only one of which is really fussy though. I find it good for your money especially for the size of the cans and would recommend to others :)

Cat food
Great product, we love to order it when it's on offer.

Poor quality meat
My cats would not go near this, even mixing with the food they like doesn't work. Should've plumped up for actual meat cuts, not "meat products".

Better than other cheaper brands
Although the composition looks great, my own house cats only eat Smilla until their initial hunger is satisfied. However, I can provide the stray village cats with a comparatively good and grain-free feeding. Definitely better than all other affordable wet foods.

Duck
I have 5 cats and all of them refused to eat Smilla lately. The consistency has changed and I found peace of pasta inside the can? How’s that possible? I’m sure my cats noticed that something is wrong because they never complained before.

Tummy problems
I have six cats one with tummy issues. They all absolutely love this food now buying the 800g tins. Tummy issues much better, highly recommend.

Favourite food
My 4 cats have decided that this food ... but only with fish ... is their favourite to eat.

Gets eaten well.
Our gang loves eating Smilla food. I switched over because Animonda Carny 800 g is almost never available.
The downside with Smilla is the fat deposits in the tin across almost all varieties. It's clearly too much, and sometimes it's not stuck to the bottom of the tin but has already mixed with the food (though this was also the case with some varieties of the competing product), and that's really unpleasant.

The cats like it.
My cats enjoy eating it, but unfortunately, there's a lot of fat at the bottom of the tin, which the mice don't like. I have to throw that away. That's why we won't be buying it again.

Isn't eaten as much.
It's a shame that the composition isn't declared more transparently.
My cats like the chicken variety and the one with hearts.
Lamb is completely refused by two of them, and the other three eat it very reluctantly and leave it behind. (Normally, my cats are "dustbins").
With lamb and duck, the fat layer at the bottom is absolutely unacceptable. It's sometimes 4 cm or more thick—a proper slab that falls out. Because of this, I will switch back to Carny, Macs, Feringa, or Mjammjam as the main food.

Budget-friendly, healthy food
Streets ahead of standard UK supermarket brands with their added sugars and grain carbs. Nutritionally solid, with very decent 'real' protein content (if a little high in offal vs. muscle meat). Super affordable, especially in these larger sizes. Others mention visible fat - while Smilla does seem to contain more than some premium foods, in these giant cans it all collects at the bottom in a solid puck, and is thus much easier to leave 80% of it in the tin than with the smaller ones.

High % of meat compared to supermarket rubbish
My cat has been on Smilla meat for 6 years now. She loves all the different flavours thankfully. It has 40% meat/meat by products compared to the well known supermarket cat meat brands which only have 4%. My girl is huge, more like a tom cat in size and I think that is because she has had decent quality food from being a kitten. Smilla is also a competitively priced cat food, check the price per kg compared to the 4% meat brands,

Great product
This is a great product. The meat content is high and it’s grain free. However my cats did not like it. Not the brands fault. My cats are just super fussy

Bengal Mama
Quality food that along with a premium quality biscuit satisfies the daily needs of the ever hungry Bengal cat.
I switched to this food from Animonda because it is much better priced and the cats have not been disappointed; in fact they seem to prefer it. So at almost half the price it is a WIN WIN situation!!

Very good food!
My five outdoor cats (living on an abandoned farmstead) are already waiting to be fed with Smilla Poultry Pots. The 800g tin is enough for their daily portion. The two female cats and four tomcats (all neutered, about 2-9 years old) are lively and healthy. After feeding, two bowls are filled with Smilla dry food – which they also love to eat!

Very fatty
I find this larger size tin to be much fattier than the 400gm tins. It is cheaper to buy the larger tins and my cat does like it, but I’ll have to seriously think about re-ordering.

Sometimes good, sometimes bad.
It seems to me that something isn’t quite right with the quality control of Smilla food. We feed seven cats. Sometimes they all eat the food very eagerly, but with the next delivery, they just sniff it briefly and then scratch at it. Even the strays won’t touch it then. To me, the food still smells perfectly fine, but there must be something in it at those times that they all completely reject.

Suitable for diabetics
I am very satisfied with the 800g tins. They stay fresh for a long time and aren't bulked up with sauce. Additionally, they are suitable for my diabetic needs.
The fat residue at the bottom of the tin is a bit unpleasant, but you can just leave it in at the end.

Alright
The food has been well received and offers quite a good price-performance ratio. However, at the bottom of each tin, there is a fairly large amount of fat that has settled.

Cats love it
My two cats love the Smilla and the 800g packs make super value for money.
