Omission marketing: Scrumbles promotes “70% meat”, but they don’t highlight the much lower calorie content compared to Natures Menu. For my 5kg cat, their calculator recommended 5 cans a day vs 2.75 cans of Natures Menu, so the real daily cost is the same or higher. I only realised this after comparing feeding guides. When I contacted Scrumbles, the replies were clearly AI‑generated and didn’t address the issue, which could lead owners to underfeed if they don’t check calories.

I usually use Zooplus for most orders, but the pricing is not competitive to mainstream supermarkets. For example, these are £5 at Sainsburys versus £7.19 at Zooplus.
