I have been a customer for years and have bought at least over 50 cotton rings. Unfortunately, I have to say that the quality has declined. But the price has stayed the same. I have 2 grey parrots.

I’ve been buying this cotton ring for years and was always satisfied – but now I’ve noticed several times that the swivel between the cotton ring and the small metal ring is missing. As a result, the ring can no longer rotate fully when the bird is sitting inside. Since my African grey parrot spends a lot of time in it and also swings on it, I find this to be a drawback, as the ring only rotates to a certain point and then swings back. Previously, it was 100% rotatable, which I liked better.

Hello Mirko, I also have two greys, and I completely agree with your opinion! My greys really love the ring, but somehow there’s a risk of injury. They think the ring is great, but once it’s been chewed up by the greys, you’ve got a problem. There are strings hanging everywhere that they can get tangled in. You really have to be careful—the older model was better!!!

The ring does provide the parakeets with a good activity, but the ring is neither brightly coloured (1 point deducted because birds prefer vibrant colours) nor does it contain a bell or anything else to keep the parakeets entertained (another point deducted).

My budgie does use it, but I think this ring is just too big for a budgie. A slightly smaller one would be better.

For cockatiels, this might be great, but for budgies, it's waaaaaay too big.
