Expensive and poor quality
I’ve fed birds for over 40 years. I’ve tried all sorts, thought I’d try this It was expensive, but I expected it to be high quality.
I feed approx 32kg of seed/sunflower mix per month in winter.
This is the most expensive sack I’ve ever bought, IMO it’s also the poorest quality seed mix I’ve encountered. . Massive percentage unsuitable for garden birds, resulting in about 20% lying, uneaten, below the feeders. Even the doves and crows don’t eat it.

Always appreciated
The birds in our garden love this stuff. We put it in feeders hanging on a tree so they’re over a border. Touch wood, nothing had ever grown under the feeders. We never have any seed leftover, the birds seem to love it & usually empty the feeders over a couple of days to a week.
Good quality mixture
Lots for the little birds - we have a broad spectrum of them visiting the seed-feeder all the time. And the seeds they spit onto the ground go down well with a lot of different ground-feeders, large and small. We don't experience any waste at all.

Inappropriate presentation
Bags usually arrive in small 4kg bags (as shown on the site) but arrived in a large 20kg sack with the description of , not ‘Husk Free’ but the term ‘husked’ was used. This caused confusion. Previously I had been wrongly sent bird seed in the same 20kg sack that was not husk free! When questioned I was told the order was correct without an explanation that the packaging had been changed! They need to change the graphic!

Good but too much millet which goes like mad
I buy this in the economy option for my wild birds and my chooks, all goes eventually but there is too much millet (all the very small seeds) and they do grow quickly in spring/summer. I would like to see more sunflower and maize (corn) and less millet and oats. Very few peanuts in this also. But, it is good value bought in x 3 option.

lots leftover
The birds in my garden are not keen on this, there are always loads of big grassy seeds left over. Won't be buying again.

Birds love it !
Lovely quality seed but don't put on lawn bird feeders as it grows like mad in the grass almost overnight !!

High-quality mixed food for wild birds
This food requires a feeder. But I mostly use it for feeding doves, although if smaller birds show up, each one eats what it likes, but the doves eat everything. A good balance of mix that you rarely find elsewhere. Recommended.

All the birds are already here!
I feed them all year round and get rewarded with cheerful chirping every morning. Mostly, it's sparrows—about 40 of them—and they've already had their second or third brood this year. Besides that, a pair of pigeons and two pairs of blackbirds also enjoy the well-stocked table.

Wrong again
And here we go again, bits of stalks, thistles, husks and other rubbish, just loads of waste instead of a top-quality mix of husk-free grains (bought a 20 kg pack). For three years this mix was excellent quality and now someone has ruined it again. Please let me know when everything is sorted 🤦♀️

Quality of the 20 kg wild bird seed mix without waste
I regularly order the 20 kg bag of wild bird seed. I used to be quite satisfied, but for the past few months, the quality of the seed mix has left much to be desired. Although it's advertised as waste-free, the bag contains a significant amount of some kind of white powder, which is probably crushed seeds. Too many fillers
I can't agree with all the negative reviews, but the wheat and the little black seeds aren't eaten by our birds either. They just fall to the ground and the mice are happy, but I'm not. So there's too much waste for such an expensive product. Like everywhere else, they're just cutting corners, here with fillers like wheat.

Quality has declined
I've been ordering this bird food for a long time now, as we feed the birds all year round. In the last few bags, though, there's been an extremely high proportion of maize kernels—huge pieces, and much more than before. The small birds like sparrows and tits just throw it all out of the feeder, and even the pigeons can't break up this rock-hard stuff. It's a real shame and quite disappointing, as the food used to be very well received.
