Appearance

“Is that a poodle hybrid?” – presumably all Lagotto owners will be on the receiving end of this question at some point. This is because Lagottos bear some resemblance to its famous relative. However, it has more physical similarities to two other water dog breeds: the Spanish Water Dog and the Portuguese Water Dog. In terms of size, the Lagotto is between the Standard and Medium Poodle, reaching 41 to 48cm in shoulder height and weighing between 11 and 16kg.
