Completely unnecessary
Money down the drain. Not even 2 minutes, and the thing was in 3 pieces. My idea of sturdy toys is something completely different.

Definitely not durable!
6 month old Springer/Labrador cross destroyed it within a few hours. Had a great time doing it though!

Unsuitable to Dangerous as a Swimming Toy
We often go to the Rhine and were looking for an alternative to a stick. However, the Kong Safestix has one major issue: it takes too long to resurface after being thrown into the water! This confuses both humans and animals and can even be dangerous.

Complete waste of money
My 2 year old Patterdale cross destroyed this in under 20 mins. Initially I thought this was a faulty one so bought another one. Exactly the same thing again. Such a shame as she absolutely loved it.

Brilliant toy
Finally, a truly durable and safe toy for my two "big ones." It's a great alternative for my ball-crazy German Shepherd and gets used a lot. Even our Caucasian Shepherd occasionally plays with it together with the German Shepherd, and then the Stix is used for wild tug-of-war. After over 12 months of excessive use, there are still no tooth marks or bite traces!!
Great quality, high fun factor. I would buy it again and again. I'll be getting another one as a backup...

Doesn't hold up like you'd usually expect from Kong.
We received the item yesterday and thought it was from Kong, as we've only had good experiences with their products.
After barely 10 minutes with two Flatcoated males, it was in two pieces, and another spot is already halfway torn. NOT WORTH IT.

also for other purposes
The item is very solid and feels good in the hand. I take it with me in the evenings when I go for a walk because I live in a rough area. If necessary, it would make a good baton, which is also legally unobjectionable since it’s not an obvious weapon. So no "intent" like you might be accused of if carrying a knife, for example. And my dog loves it – no chew marks so far.

OF COURSE, THE THING FLOATS!!! YOU BET!!!
NO IDEA WHAT KIND OF PUDDLE SOME DOG OWNERS TRY OUT THE SAFESTIX IN AND THEN CLAIM IT DOESN’T FLOAT!!! THE STIX FLOAT REALLY WELL, JUST RELATIVELY LOW IN THE WATER!!! MY TWO LITTLE TROUBLEMAKERS HAVE NO PROBLEM BRINGING THE STIX BACK TO SHORE SAFE AND SOUND!!! SO, PEOPLE, FIND A LAKE WITH MORE THAN 10CM OF WATER DEPTH AND ENJOY THIS GREAT GAME WITH YOUR DOGS! HAVE FUN!

Unfortunately not durable
With our two English Bulldogs and our Bullmastiff bitch, we've been loyal fans of the Kong company for a long time, as these have been the only toys so far that have held up.
Unfortunately, the SafeStix don't continue this winning streak. They tear apart after a short tug. Such a shame!

From the very start, a bullseye
Our two furry friends absolutely love the Kong Safestix, they never get tired of playing together with it, and even our little "chewer Mona" can't manage to break it thanks to its durability!

Stick games without fear
Apart from the unusual appearance that takes some getting used to for us humans, our Border thinks this thing is brilliant. And I no longer have to worry about him getting caught somewhere or possibly injuring himself while playing around with sticks. If this thing were floatable, it would be perfect, but even as it is, it's already great. Highly recommended!

Great, but it doesn't float.
My Continental Bulldog loves this stick. She carries it the whole time while we're out walking. If you throw it and she doesn't find it straight away, the advantage is that I can spot it easily in the grass thanks to its bright colour, so it doesn't get lost. At home, she doesn't get it because I'm worried for its survival. Bulldogs are great chewers, so you need something like the Kong Extreme for that. Unfortunately, I relied on the stick being able to float. Luckily, the stream wasn't very deep, so I was able to retrieve the stick from the bottom. Not buoyant!! But I would buy it again anytime. Absolutely brilliant.

very sturdy
Our bulldog lady has destroyed a lot of dog toys, but she can't break this one! She enjoys it for a long time :-) and it's very popular with her!!

Top...!
We got it for two Aussies as a reward after work... super flexible for tugging, pulling or throwing... can be bent and tucked into a jacket pocket. Rinse it under the tap, and the toy is clean... absolutely spot on!

Didn't last 30 minutes
I bought it in size L, and our Labrador managed to tear it into three pieces in less than 30 minutes :( We're not used to this with Kong products so far, and unfortunately, it's too expensive for that.

Boxer's Luck
My boxer is thrilled – the best toy and training device we've ever had! However, we went for size M.

Great
I have two in size S, and despite having four fully grown Labradors, they've lasted quite a while and are an absolute hit. Definitely recommend them :)

Super toy
I bought the Stix in size S for my Labrador-Shepherd mix. My dog is absolutely thrilled with it, and it even manages to distract him from other dogs at times. We’d love to have it in a size up (M) as well—maybe that’ll be possible sometime soon.

Super
Our young dog has so far only found balls and similar toys interesting when other dogs are around.
However, sticks of all kinds are always played with ;)
The look of it makes you smile a bit, but on the dog field, almost every dog is thrilled with this thing.
The dogs can play wonderfully and, above all, safely with each other, and when there are no dog buddies around, it’s perfect for fetch and tug games with humans :)
Thumbs up! We’ll be ordering a second one!

Very good product
Very good product, suitable for tug games and throwing. Even occasional chewing on it is no problem.
Replaces the dangerous act of throwing wooden sticks in the forest.
