Why is everything made of sisal/water hyacinth except for the outer ring of the base? Because of this, the whole thing looks really cheap and, after a short time of use, just plain shabby!

Easy to assemble and it was in use straight away. The scratching post is a little eye-catcher in the bedroom and stands very sturdily.

I have exclusively purchased Natural Paradise products so far and have always been very satisfied with them. However, since I really liked the cave on this scratching post, I thought I'd give it a try and ordered two items from Banana Leaf straight away. Unfortunately, I don't like the colour of the cushions or the base plate on this product at all. It's a sort of light orange shade – not nice at all. And in terms of quality, these items don't seem as high-quality as the Natural Paradise products.

Got it delivered today and I’m absolutely thrilled with its beauty and great quality (very sturdy and heavy). Assembly was a piece of cake and done in 10 minutes. My cat tried it out straight away. I’d buy it again any time!!! It also goes perfectly with all the other old banana leaf cat furniture we already had.

My cats are very taken with this little banana scratching post. It could be twice the size. Whether old or young, they all like it and have liked it, especially during the cold season when it’s placed by the radiator. The only thing that was replaced some time ago – for aesthetic reasons – was the sisal pole.

Base plate is very sturdy, nothing wobbles and it gives a high-quality impression. The cushion in the cave is nicely fluffy and removable. My cat took to it straight away. I'm very satisfied.

Delivery was, as always, prompt. The scratching post was easy to assemble and looks flawless. However, as soon as I unpacked it, an unpleasant smell hit me, similar to floor wax. I set it up 8 days ago, and the smell hasn’t faded yet. I’m hoping it will dissipate by the end of next week, as that’s when a cat will be moving in with me. Because of the smell, I’m only giving 3 stars.

This is already our second tree, unfortunately, the sisal wears out very quickly. Visually, however, it is very beautiful. Hardly unpacked, and it was already claimed.

Find it sooo great

Bought this for 2 ragdoll kittens, after 3 months of use if fell apart nearly landing on a kitten! The central tube is made of cardboard (!!) and obviously isn't strong enough to support the top heavy basket! very sad as it looked great and the cats loved it! DONT BUY!

This is a lovely piece of furniture easy & quick to put together, my cat loves it he took to it straight away. Looks cosy & comfy when he's having lazy day I would recommend this & very good price too.

The scratching post is very well received. Unfortunately, the sisal pole doesn’t last very long. After just two years, the sisal wrapping has completely come undone. In my opinion, the sisal rope isn’t sturdy enough.

Although we love the design of this scratch post with den they haven't lasted long! Both times, the post has come away from the base, leaving the den leaning over and becoming unsafe. We have a Norwegian Forest Cat and this design has proven inadequate. Very disappointed!

The cat likes the tree, enjoys scratching the trunk, but has only been in the cave once so far – though that will surely change. Apart from the velvet at the bottom, I think it looks nice too.

Excellent product, extremely robust, the first one we bought lasted 5 years! We only have one cat, but she sharpens her claws every meal time.

Cachou has his naps there every afternoon. He sets himself up so that he can enjoy the sun that comes in through the window. Also, the tree is very stable which can't be said for all cat trees. The cushion cover is very beautiful but shrinks in the wash, which is par for the course with canvas. This tree is less ugly than other trees that I've had. In short, me and my cat have been blown away by this tree. I can certainly see myself buying another one in the future...

Thank you everyone, you've helped me make a good decision. Here are the pros: The shape and natural palette make the barrel very smart. The scratching part is perfectly sized and shaped, ideal for the job. This cat tree is robust to say the least, and also very easy to assemble (or disassemble if it needs to be transported). My two cats took to it very quickly ! They love nestling in and dozing away in perfect tranquility. They know that this is their space to share, as we only have one at the moment. I highly recommend this cat tree because it is well thought out and designed.

Ah, how I love this model! Shame I chose too quickly, lots of great models like this one can be found if you search a little longer. I will buy one for my cat soon, it's great!

I hadn't even put up the post before my cat was snuggled into the den. She's an old girl with arthritis so she has trouble jumping and climbing. She can just about make it into the den. For medium sized cats (4.5kg here), there's plenty of space left in the basket, but it sure does look comfy. All in all, looks like the perfect place to chill.
