Cats love this scratcher for lounging and playing, but it's not ideal for heavier cats due to its lightweight and fragile design. Some find it unstable, and the sisal patch is too short for effective scratching. However, it’s a bargain and has an appealing design. While some cats enjoy it, others ignore it completely. It's best suited for smaller or lighter cats who appreciate the soft carpet feel.
Cats love it for lounging and playing.
Appealing design.
Not suitable for heavier cats due to instability.

Lovely shape
So neither of my cats use this unfortunately - but it still looks nice in the corner of the room! My only gripe is that I poured the catnip (provided) onto the scratching pad and it has gone into the grooves and won't come out. Now the lovely white scratching pad has weird greeny patches which isn't quite as aesthetically pleasing. Sprinkle with care!

Great piece
Both of my tomcats are thrilled with the wave. It's the best toy for romping around, but it's also great for relaxing. Unfortunately, the older one is wearing out, which can happen after a few years. So, a new one is needed because, after all, everyone needs their own.
The wave is sturdy and can withstand quite a bit with my big boys, and after about 5 years, it's understandable if it starts to wear out.
Great piece of kit.

Scratching fun
My 2 11 month tortoiseshell solve this wave scratch and snooze mat. As soon as I unpacked it they started sniffing it, shortly followed by scratching it then they starting using it to pounce on each other and their other toys. When they've worn themselves out they have a long nap!!!

not very stable
I liked this, but my cat didn't agree with my judgement. She put her paws on the 'upward' edge, whereupon the whole thing tipped up and hit her. Needless to say, she wouldn't look at it again.

Was immediately accepted as a sleeping spot.
My British Longhair tomcat was immediately thrilled with it.
However, it’s not being used as a scratching mat, which is what it was originally intended for. Instead, it has to serve daily as a spot for his afternoon nap.

Also suitable for large cats
I am very pleased with the scratching wave. We have three tomcats of different sizes: a Sacred Birman kitten, a domestic shorthair, and a large Maine Coon. The Maine Coon, in particular, loves the scratching wave, often lies in the hollow and scratches at it.

Soft, good scratching surface, and a nice shape
As with all cat beds, it's about where you put it as well as what sort of bed it is. We put it on a trunk in the living room window, and she went to investigate and dutifully scratched at the sisal, but no napping. I think it's currently too chilly, and in the summer she'll appreciate it as a spot for basking in sunbeams and watching people in the street. It's now on the floor by my bedroom radiator, and she is nesting in it on a regular basis. She's a small cat, 3kg or so, and fits in neatly.

Absolutely adored by all my tomcats.
Back then with my first cat and now with the two I have now. We're soon heading into the second year with it, and it's still holding up brilliantly. Okay, I had to use hot glue on it once. But after almost two years, that's fair enough. I was about to throw it away, but I just couldn't do that to them – they really play with it all the time. It's used for resting and scratching as well. Often, one lies underneath while the other stands on top during their playtime together, and so on... it's just incredibly popular!

Good for the price!
Well, the workmanship could be better. But for the price, it's fine. AND: I barely unpacked it, and my Lotte was already lying on it and sleeping :)

Excellent For the money
I bought this as a chair / scratch chair for my new British blue short hair kitten / it was here for his arrival 5 days ago and I am so pleased we got this, great product which should last along time - he is only 11.5 weeks old so at the moment he seems so tiny against it - one thing I love is the zoo plus customer pictures as you get to see a product in situ with various size kitten / cats and homes

One of my cats loves this
I have 3 cats & this scratching wave was not bought for the cat that loves it, as she was acquired after it was purchased. She absolutely loves it. I have had it for around 2 years and am now thinking of getting a new once as she has used it so much. She really is a typical cat though unlike my other two, as she also likes to sleep in a cat bead and cat igloo. The other two totally not interested in cat items.

Good
Well my cats don't seem to be using this for scratching, only for hiding underneath! But at least they're using it for something :p

Over, under, on, around, and all about...
Ginivra the cat (*2007) absolutely loves her wave – not so much for sharpening her claws, but as a "playmate" and "enemy" to stalk, pounce on, work over, and defeat from all sides – only to then relax on it afterwards (see our product image).
The sisal area is a bit on the small side, so we sprinkle a few grains of valerian on it to encourage Ginivra to use it for scratching.
Other than that, the wave is quite sturdy; even after five months, it still looks as good as new. It's also great that it's so lightweight and – unlike a scratching post – can be effortlessly moved from one spot to another.
There’s been no unpleasant smell at all, not even at the beginning.
All in all, the cat is happy with it, and so are we – especially for such a small price. 5 stars *****

The best solution for kitten babies!
As soon as I unpacked the mat, my little one started using it straight away! He scratched on the mat the whole time! The cat mat is of good quality, doesn’t smell, and is very comfortable for the cat. I think it might be a bit too small for an adult cat, but kittens between 2 to 6 months will feel perfectly at home on it.

My cat is thrilled
Simply brilliant! :) I originally planned to give the scratching mat away, but that didn’t happen. As soon as I unpacked it at home, my Maine Coon claimed it straight away. Since then, she’s been sleeping on it every day (even if it’s just with her upper body). But the scratching mat is also used for casually sitting in or scratching, although she prefers the scratching post for thoroughly sharpening her claws. The mat is also great for energetic play and romping around.
I never would have thought my Maine Coon would be so interested in this mat. Well, now I’ll order it again so I can finally give it away! :)

Much loved scratching mat!
This scratching mat has become a definite favourite of my oriental. I'm even considering a second one for another room!

Great scratching mat
My cat loves this scratching board... no wobbling, no tipping over, even during slightly rougher play there are no issues with it.

Not being used
Overall, a nice piece. It was sometimes thrown around during playfights or used for hiding. However, my two tomcats didn’t scratch it at all.

Only for "mini and lightweights"
Looks quite DECORATIVE, BUT it slides and tips over when scratching. For sitting and lying down, it's waaaay too small, and hiding underneath is practically impossible!!!!!
And that's for a slender domestic shorthair tomcat.
My two "big ones" did try scratching (on this far too small sisal piece), but with it constantly tipping over, they quickly got fed up!
