Positively surprised
I ordered the little caterpillar on a whim because it looked so cute. Honestly, I thought my furry friends – as usual – wouldn’t even give my gift a second glance. But I was wrong. They absolutely pounced on it, happily scratching away or just lying on it as if to say: This is mine!
The caterpillar is quite lightweight, which isn’t ideal for my 5-kilo tomcat, and even though it’s placed on the carpet, it tends to slide around or threaten to tip over. But it works! I’m absolutely convinced, especially since they’ve stopped going for my reading chair, which used to be their favourite scratching victim – despite the scratching post right next to it. So, it’s perfect, couldn’t be better! A fun, affordable, and helpful product for both cats and their humans!

More of that
These cardboard pieces have become a must-have in our multi-cat household. I wish there were even more variations, as I couldn’t possibly make my cats happier. The scratching boards are very durable for the low price. More expensive ones from a designer shop didn’t last any longer either.

Scratching Furniture Caterpillar
Both my cats use the caterpillar regularly, and apart from the fact that bits of cardboard end up scattered everywhere, it’s a nice change from the usual scratching furniture.
The design is very cute at first but quickly gets quite shredded – so not exactly suitable for the living room!
One point deducted because of the cardboard mess.

Value for money is okay.
The caterpillar is cute and easy to hide under armchairs and in corners if you don’t necessarily want cat scratching stuff everywhere. It’s a shame that the green litter doesn’t specify what it is. Value for money is okay.

Small but lovely
I only ordered this caterpillar because it was on sale and I thought it was so cute. Our chubby one took to it quite well though—right from the unpacking, it was eagerly sniffed and the first scratching attempts were made.
Even after two weeks, the interest hasn’t faded, and the caterpillar still looks pretty good :)

Is this caterpillar small?
Yes, I know, the dimensions are listed in the product description... but still, I imagined the item to be bigger. Either the cat in the picture is extremely small, or let’s just say the picture has been "touched up."
My chubby lady (admittedly a Maine Coon mix and therefore quite large) is twice as long as this caterpillar, so other scratching options are more suitable. Well, to be honest, I only bought the caterpillar because I found it so funny.

Was never looked at by my 8 cats.

CARDBOARD EVERYWHERE
I haven't bought this caterpillar as it wasn't in stock when I wanted one. Instead, I chose a cardboard scratcher from the Rewards Shop. One of my cats isn't interested but the other one can't resist it. It has certainly saved the new carpet from being ruined but there are bits of cardboard everywhere. Mind you, that is a small price to pay for his enjoyment. Will definitely get more of these disposable cardboard scratchers.

Was immediately accepted after unpacking and has been used regularly ever since.

Order two straight away.
Even when the package was still with the neighbours, they practically wanted to keep it for themselves. As soon as we unpacked it, my two little ones were fighting over it. It's currently in constant use (even without catnip). I can only recommend it—best to order a spare straight away so no one ends up disappointed when it's all used up!!!

Breaks quickly
When I sprinkled catnip on the caterpillar, my two girls went absolutely wild. First, they spent an hour rubbing their backs on it, and then they wanted to devour the caterpillar. :-) Within two hours, they had bitten a huge hole into it.

Is absolutely adored
The caterpillar is very loved by our cats and fiercely contested over who gets to scratch it. In my opinion, it would be perfect if it were a bit wider (hence the point deduction), as it wouldn’t topple over so easily during wild scratching. But the cats really like it.

Simply brilliant
I was a bit sceptical when I ordered the caterpillar, as our cats are outdoor cats and have plenty of scratching options outside.
But – I’m thrilled. The little ones scratch and play on it, the big ones lie on it – one option is even to use the foot end of the caterpillar as a sort of *pillow*.
Even after the most intensive use by up to 10 cats, the caterpillar remains completely unshaken – it’s sturdy and truly scratch-resistant.
So for me, it’s passed the ultimate stress test with flying colours!!!

Immediately sharpened the claws!!!
The caterpillar looks super cute and was eagerly scratched right away. My cat has already torn off a few cardboard bits, but I think the caterpillar can withstand quite a bit. It’s even been used for napping on. To avoid any arguments, we’ve already ordered another one.

Catnip falls flat
Super cute and all five love using it. Unfortunately, the catnip falls straight through to the bottom when you rub it on the back. Otherwise, a lovely idea.

Unfortunately, a bit noisy.
In the evening, I finally got around to unpacking the Zooplus box. After sprinkling the caterpillar with the included catnip, my gang immediately claimed it and played with it intensely.
Unfortunately, I had to take it away again after a short time: when the cats scratch vigorously, the caterpillar lifts off the ground and bangs back down. I've now stuck felt underneath, which dampens it significantly. Hence, one point deducted. Otherwise, definitely recommendable!

Finally more made of cardboard
My little one, unfortunately, won't go near any sisal. Neither scratching posts nor scratching mats. But she loves sharpening her claws on the pressed cardboard. Finally, there's an alternative to the Catit Play'n'Scratch. And a very lovely one at that! Of course, it doesn't last forever, but it does hold up for an impressively long time. The price is also fantastic. Hence, 5 stars!

Great
The caterpillar is happily used by my eldest, 5 years old, for his claws, while my little one, 14 months, doesn’t just sharpen his claws—he absolutely loves this thing.
The proof is in the picture I uploaded :-)

So thrilled!!!
My cats don’t have the caterpillar, but rather a crocodile in the same design, and all four of my cats absolutely love this thing! I can only recommend it!!! Since it’s made of cardboard, it obviously doesn’t last forever, but they love scratching it or just lying on it! Truly brilliant, because they can finally scratch in the right direction, which isn’t the case with sisal posts!
