Favourite toy
My cat is very cautious when it comes to new things, but she immediately took to the caterpillar (even without the mint). She cuddles with it, uses it several times a day for scratching, and leaves the furniture and wallpaper alone. I’m happy to put up with the cardboard bits lying around everywhere for that. With a semi-long-haired cat, you have to vacuum often anyway. I’ve already recommended the caterpillar (it’s also very loved by my neighbour’s five cats) and ordered another one.

very popular
The caterpillar is just brilliant, my cats love this caterpillar. They prefer it over their scratching post.
Highly recommended!

highly sought-after
Currently, I have 5 cats in my household, aged 2, 8, 10, 11, and 14. If you want to keep your furniture in good condition for a bit longer, you need good scratching options. A ceiling-high scratching post and corner scratch boards have been well-used so far. I bought this caterpillar as a trial (it was a 2-piece offer) and have made my cats so incredibly happy with it—I didn’t expect that at all. They scratch it, cuddle with it, and even take naps on it. The cats are happy, and the owner is very satisfied.

Beloved by 8 paws
My two fur babies (house cat, 8 years old, and house cat, 9 years old) have loved this caterpillar for a year now, and it’s still going strong. It sits on our bookshelf and gets visited by them now and then—sometimes more, sometimes less. At the moment, they’re back to playing with it more often. Of course, there’s now a little hole at the top, but they’re constantly rubbing against it (should the herbs still smell after a year?) and scratching at it non-stop! I think it’s brilliant. It fits anywhere, and it’s a nice change from the usual sisal toys—and my two love it! Of course, every cat is different, and we humans don’t like everything either (I don’t like bar stools; I prefer a proper chair), but my two adore this caterpillar. I’d be thrilled if it came in two or three sizes—maybe a bit longer and wider. Paw’s up!

Good substitute for wallpaper enthusiasts
One of our two tomcats doesn’t like scratching posts or sisal mats. He prefers the wallpaper, and the little pieces he scratched off were happily devoured after some intense play sessions. Ever since the caterpillar arrived in the house, it’s been enthusiastically dismantled, and the wallpaper has been left in peace. So, the purchase was definitely worth it.

Loved dearly and used daily
Scratch furniture of all kinds is a big hit with our three ladies, and this one is no exception. When it first arrived, there was quite the squabble over who got to use it first—probably because of the little pouch of catnip that came with it.
It's very sturdy and can withstand some intense scratching, playful tussles, and even a bit of licking (yes, we've seen that happen here 😉).
The caterpillar (just a week old) is already showing some minor signs of wear, but I'm so relieved they're using the caterpillar and not the actual furniture. 😉 The initial hype has died down a bit, but it's still "occupied" daily.

Nice piece, unfortunately gets ignored.
I bought it because it was something colourful for a change (scratch items are unfortunately usually beige).
Unfortunately, NONE of my 4 cats pay any attention to it. Even catnip, etc., didn’t help.

Great!!
My two Brits love it – they scratch it, sleep on it, and if one side gets shredded, you just flip it over and can use it again. Really highly recommended! And the few scraps, well, just sweep them up – after all, you’ve got cats. Lifespan is about 3-4 months, and our two little monsters scratch a lot.

A complete success
I just removed the foil from the cardboard caterpillar, and our cat Pauline has already claimed the scratching wonder.
A truly fantastic treat for the cat! When our little Pauline has wrecked this wonder toy, we'll definitely get a new caterpillar for this price.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Unfortunately, not scratched.
My Chartreux tomcat didn’t go near this caterpillar at all. He was genuinely quite scared of it. Even catnip didn’t help. I thought it was so cute, but it seems it was only to my taste. No one in the house wanted it either. Such a shame!

Clear purchase recommendation from 8 paws
Two of my three cats absolutely adore the scratching caterpillar and now only scratch on it. The scratching post has been completely ignored ever since. Due to the special attention the caterpillar has received, it has taken quite a beating over the past nine months, so it's now being replaced. For the low price, though, its lifespan is absolutely fine. The only downside might be the paper scraps that inevitably result from use, but let's be honest: in which cat household do you not have to vacuum regularly? For me, it's a clear 5 stars and almost a must-have for every cat household ^^

I've had the caterpillar for a week now, and my three absolutely love it. Not only are their claws getting sharpened on it, but it's also being used as a makeshift sleeping spot.

Beloved Caterpillar
My tomcat really likes the caterpillar to occasionally sharpen his claws on it. However, he doesn’t use it for lying on. After half a year, the item doesn’t look as nice anymore, and you constantly have to clean up the cardboard scraps, so a replacement needs to be ordered... I also gifted the caterpillar to another household with cats, where it’s also very much loved! I think the price-performance ratio is absolutely fine, and the caterpillar is quite nice to look at too!

Simply brilliant
Hello, ever since we got the caterpillar at home, it’s been put to use straight away :-) The price-performance ratio is good for the caterpillar. It’s really durable, and I’ll definitely buy another one. I can only recommend it.

Breaks quickly and just makes a mess.
My two tomcats loved this caterpillar, and I definitely had it standing around for half a year.
But it was taken apart pretty quickly, and the whole flat was covered in bits of cardboard.
For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend it, because this thing really makes a total mess.

My cat loves this scratching furniture. I've had many different ones before, but this caterpillar has a unique shape, looks nice too, and she just enjoys scratching away at it.

Beautiful and effective caterpillar
My cat loves this scratching caterpillar. Every time she walks past it, she quickly has a scratch. Plus, it’s also a real eye-catcher.

Super
My cat absolutely adores this scratching board. Ever since she got it, the scratching post has pretty much been forgotten.
It’s very sturdy and doesn’t wear out quickly. Sunny uses it every single day, and it still looks great.

Really cute
One of our cats is absolutely crazy about the scratching caterpillar – you can see her scratching it several times a day, every single day.
Despite that, the caterpillar still looks really good and has an overall cute design.
The only "downside": there can occasionally be bits of cardboard lying around from where it's been scratched off, but that doesn’t bother me much.

how disappointing
My big ragdoll boy loves scratching and ripping cardboard. He has already shredded two pieces of cardboard furniture. I bought this caterpillar for him as well as a second for my sister's cats but unfortunately none of them will touch them. In fact I had to rescue my cat's almost ruined old scratcher from the bin because he was so upset. I don't know why he doesn't like this caterpillar. It looks so nice but a waste of money so far as he and my sister's cats are concerned.
