Essential Rat furniture
I've had one of these through a succession of lady rats more than 3 years and so far unchewed. Nicer than the opaque style ones, as you can see what they are getting up to and who is pinching whose food or being groomed. Really easy to take apart to clean too. Has internal ridges for grip if you put it on a bit of a slope and can rats sit on top of it too.

Great play tunnel
I’ve bought the tunnel twice now – once back in 2006 for my rat pack at the time, and they were already enthusiastic users of the tube. Because of that positive experience, I bought the tube again for my six rat girls, and they’re making great use of the tunnel too.
Whether it’s used as a "bridge," a lounging and sleeping spot with a great view, or for chasing each other around the cage, it’s been a hit.
A great recommendation for rats, as even fully grown ones – at least my girls – can turn around inside it comfortably.

Well...
I bought this tunnel for my rats a few months ago, and to this day, they somehow can't seem to make use of it, which really surprises me. Even when I put pieces of their cosy blanket inside, the tunnel doesn't seem any more appealing to them. :(

Bigger than expected
I had imagined the tube to be much narrower and was pleasantly surprised. Two rats can definitely squeeze through it. At first, they were a bit sceptical since it’s a bit wobbly, but they slowly got used to it and now occasionally just chill inside. I don’t find the tube unstable. What I particularly like is that you can hang the tube right in the middle of the cage. With a depth of no more than 50 cm, the suspension chains are long enough to stretch from one side to the other. Plus, the tube, which can be detached on one side, is easy to clean.

Rats love them
My rats love it and even sleep in it!
My tube doesn’t need any tape or anything like that; it holds up perfectly.
I can only recommend it :)
Best regards

Tube
It fell apart straight away for me, unfortunately. I've now fixed it with wires and tape, and everything's fine now. I think the tube is really good and I'm using it as the entrance to the Sputnik house.

With tape, it holds :)
So, the tube fell apart on me straight away, but I stuck it back together with some parcel tape, and now it’s been holding up for half a year. My boys, despite being a bit sceptical at first, are absolutely thrilled. :)

Absolutely brilliant
My rats have been in the new cage for 5 minutes, and they're already diving into the tube.

Price-performance ratio is okay, but feels slightly unreliable.
I think the tunnel itself is really good, and the ratties love it. Advantage: you can take it apart and clean it easily. Disadvantage: the two outer rings don’t seem 100% secure to me... My female rats are still small and light, but I’ll keep an eye on whether the tube stays together when they get heavier. I’ve hung the tunnel just above the ground as a precaution. That’s why I’m giving one star less, but otherwise, I’m satisfied so far!

My rats love it...
My five girls are absolutely thrilled and love squeezing in there all together. However, I didn’t attach the tube to the hangers in the cage but fixed it to the cage bars instead, as it was apparently too wobbly for the rats. Since then, they often sit inside, sleep, and cuddle. :D I can only recommend it, and nothing wobbles for me either.

Simply brilliant!
My two rat ladies absolutely love this tube. I seem to have been really lucky because mine is neither wobbly nor unstable. Really great!
I’ve got it hanging in the cage as an access point to the Sputnik, and I can only recommend this combo!

It's okay.
One of my rats goes in, the other one not really. So it depends, but very wobbly.

I cannot recommend it.
The tube fell apart as soon as I tried to attach it to the rat cage for the first time. I then put it back together and tried to stabilise it with some tape, but that didn’t work either. After two days, it came apart again.

Unsteady affair
This play tunnel actually deserved 5 stars: very stylish, you can watch the little ones frolic from the outside, and the piece is flexible enough to attach to any cage.
Unfortunately, though, the whole thing is rather unstable. Even during assembly, I wasn’t convinced about its sturdiness. Then, in the middle of the night, I was woken up by a monstrous crash: my chinchilla had caused the tunnel to collapse under its own weight and fell five cage levels down to the floor along with the individual fragments.
I’ve now padded the edges with tape, and the construction is stable. However, something serious could have happened. It’s a shame—points deducted for the sloppy manufacturing.

With improvements, great for rats!
I’ve got two of these tubes hanging in the cage, and after improving them a bit with some glue (they tend to come apart easily when the gang gets a bit rowdy), they’re brilliant! My rats are constantly running on/in them and even sleep in them from time to time.

Not suitable for chinchillas
The roll is simply slotted together and can't withstand any significant weight. My three chinchillas found it quite amusing, but it only took a few hours before the plastic brackets for hanging were gnawed through, and I had to throw the roll away.

My male rats love it!
I’ve got several of these tubes and just ordered another one. My rats are absolutely crazy about them. I think they’re pretty big too. Easily fit 3 to 4 rats inside (at least in my case, as far as I can see)! The price is great as well. 5 stars, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Brilliant tube
I bought the tunnel for my 4 ratties, and they love it. At first, I thought it was too small, but my 2 fully grown ratties can pass each other in the tunnel.
Conclusion: The tunnel is definitely recommended for rattie owners.
Best regards

- smirk -
I myself am thrilled with this tunnel - easy to attach and clean - great size, but? My three adult girls ran away - they are absolutely terrified of the tunnel :-(
Well, luckily not all rats are such mummy's girls like mine. So, I gave the tunnel away, and it was a big hit with my friend's mice :-)

Highly recommended
This tunnel is absolutely brilliant. My four girls love crawling through it or just lounging around inside. The best thing about the tubes is that you can combine them to create a larger tube, and let’s be honest, what do rats love more than tunnels? :)
The included hanging mechanism has also been really well designed. All in all, I’m very satisfied and will probably get a few more for their play area.
I think it would be great if Zooplus could someday offer opaque or partially opaque tubes. Then the tube would also make a great hiding spot.
Best regards
