Not leak proof. Needs better lining.
I was using it a few months but always squeezing food in its original bag in. It was tricky and last time I've ordered dog food I have poured it straight to the bag. It was perfect size to fit 12kg dry dog food.
Next food order arrived and... Massive disappointment :( Oil from dry kibbles leaked right through it and went on my winter footweare which was stored in boxes next to it.
I am not happy at all. Such a shame, because it is smart looking container. But it needs much better lining.

Not mouse proof!
mice chewed through this bag within a week of it arriving, and I didn't even think we had mice! they hadn't eaten through the dry dog food in it's own paper sack...

Oils/fat from the dog food seep through
The container itself is of good quality, but I would not recommend it for storing dry dogfood. The oils contained in the dogfood will seep through the bottom of the bag and leave stains on the surface underneath. The bottom of the bag becomes very greasy.
Useful though for the storage of dog toys or maybe dogfood in its original bag.

Beware Where You Place It
I agree with the other reviews about how useful it is for size, and I like that it looks unobtrusive in my little flat (no space in my few cupboards so, it has to sit in the corner of my sitting room). BUT! Several weeks after purchasing the item, I just moved it whilst doing a spring clean and discovered a big greasy patch on the tiles underneath. Thankfully, I don't have wall-to-wall carpetting, but it's positioned only a few inches from my expensive rug! So don't, under any circumstance, put it on a surface which won't withstand grease and which you can't wipe clean. I'd suggest you don't wedge it up close to a wall, either, as the oils from the kibble might soak through the sides as well. I've now placed newspaper underneath it.
