Finally, a dog basket where everything is just right!
I am absolutely impressed with this dog basket. I've been searching for a basket like this for years, and I've finally found it here! Quick and sturdy to attach, loads of space INSIDE the basket, the basket itself is very solidly built with a firm base plate, it's nice and tall (I've seen other baskets that are different...) so the dog can sit safely inside, and it looks stylish too. Simply brilliant! I'm already looking forward to the first ride with this fantastic "basket" in XXL format! Five stars from me!

Great product!!!
Very fast delivery. Very well packaged. The basket is brilliant!!! With leather straps to secure it to the metal grid. Very quick and easy mounting system (with instructions). Only the little cover is a joke. But when I think about the fact that the same basket costs €89 at a specialist bike shop, I can easily overlook this minor issue.

Value for money not okay
The enthusiasm for the basket is still somewhat limited for me. Basically, it's just a basket—neither particularly high-quality nor sturdier than any ordinary wicker basket—with a wire lid and a cheap lining reminiscent of a wax tablecloth. The mounting system and the whole thing don't even justify the reduced price here at Zooplus, which is nearly €60, in any way.
Our maiden voyage was survived by our little dog, but the basket wobbled alarmingly. Due to her weight (5.5 kg), the basket tilted slightly, even though I'm confident I assembled everything correctly. The fastenings between the basket and the lid aren't great either—the lid shifts while riding. Overall, everything feels quite unstable. While it will probably hold, neither the dog nor I feel comfortable with it.
When searching for a suitable basket, I was never sure whether it would be suitable for a racing bike. Well, visually, the combination looks rather unimpressive, but the bike itself isn't affected by the basket. There's enough clearance for the brakes and gear levers. The baskets available on the market all seem to be lacking somehow. The dog is probably safer on the luggage rack, provided you have one. I don't, which is why I opted for the handlebar basket.

Sturdy basket
We haven’t mounted the basket yet, but we don’t regret the purchase. The basket seems very sturdy, and the mesh also appears stable.
However, the basket liner is a joke. It’s more suitable as a small tablecloth than as a seating pad for the dog.
The very high price is perceived as a negative point.

Protective grille mounting
Mounting the basket on the bike is very straightforward. The basket and protective grid are suitably sturdy. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the three buckles that attach the grid to the basket. They are made of cardboard wrapped in plastic. They were already torn upon delivery and therefore unusable. My solution to this was to use Velcro straps...

Excellent product
Brought large size for my westie, fits in it no problem if anything could have done with the next size down. He absolutely loves it and can now accompany us wherever we go. needs two people to get him in and out due to the weight on the bike, and have to remember to use the back brake more than the front as bike is top heavy! Took a long time to initially fit this, but managed it by rotating the handlebars round, but the bracket is so descrete when the basket is not in use.

Great excursions
Our dog, a Jack Russell, and I wouldn’t want to be without this fantastic basket anymore. My dog loves it. It’s perfect for going on bike rides in nice weather and finally leaving the car at home for once. It does take a bit of getting used to at first. I’d recommend riding a few times without the dog to get a feel for it and build confidence.

Bike Pet Basket XXL
I’m only giving 3 stars because it’s a bit tricky when the dog moves—you can easily lose your balance. I used to have something similar for the front. Bicycle trailers are definitely better because you’re less likely to fall with them; they’re safer to use.

Quality is fine, but steering is heavily restricted.
The basket itself seems to be sturdy, although, as mentioned in another review, the bracket under the basket should extend further forward (it only goes halfway). The bracket that attaches to the bike also doesn’t give the impression of being particularly stable. We didn’t even test the basket with our dog because here’s the major drawback: the steering angle is severely restricted. If you really need to turn the handlebars sharply, a fall is almost inevitable. We couldn’t mount the bracket lower down on either of our bikes so that the basket wouldn’t get in the way. Such a shame. Now we’ll probably have to buy a different basket for the luggage rack. The only downside is that it’s not as easy to switch it from one bike to another...

Great dog basket
The basket can be mounted on the luggage rack without any problems (I have a trekking bike). I only replaced the supplied seat liner with a cushion. My Jack Russell female dog is happy too and has plenty of space.

Super quick and easy to assemble.
The basket was delivered within 2 days and fully meets our expectations. It comes with assembly instructions, but it would also be easy to assemble without them. On our luggage rack (standard trekking bike), the basket was securely mounted within 5 minutes without wobbling. Since the basket is positioned at the back, the bike's handling remains unaffected. However, a cushion is still necessary, as the included padding is more of a joke. Our dachshund (6.5 kg) thoroughly enjoyed the first outing in it.

Super piece!
My Parson Russell and I think the basket is great. The riding experience feels a bit strange at first (you can no longer see the front wheel while riding), but you quickly get used to it. Above all, the basket doesn’t wobble back and forth with every turn, thanks to its mounting on the fork. The mesh cover over the basket also makes it safe for the dog. What’s not so great are the plastic straps used to attach the mesh cover. They tore after a short time and I had to replace them myself.
With the basket, long bike trips are possible. If the dog gets tired, he goes into the basket. And the luggage rack remains free, so you can transport other things in addition to the dog.

Simply brilliant!!
Our elderly Miniature Pinscher lady Maxi can finally join us on all our outings again. Thanks to the instructions, the basket is super easy to attach and doesn’t get in the way at all when riding on the luggage rack. Summer is saved for us!

Dog basket for handlebar mounting
The handlebar-mounted dog basket is perfect. When the attachment is properly installed, the basket sits 100% securely and doesn’t tilt forward. The distance between the handlebar and the basket is also good. Brake and gear cables aren’t pinched. Our dog (7 kg) loves it in there. Highly recommended.

The bike basket is not sturdy enough.
After mounting the basket with the supplied bracket, I noticed that the basket tilted downwards at the front. You would have had to bend the bracket to ensure the basket was attached horizontally. During a test ride, the whole thing wobbled. It doesn’t feel safe to me. I sent the basket back and will buy one for the luggage rack instead.

Really very good quality, but up to 20 kilos?
The basket is really great and very sturdy, but you do end up wobbling quite a bit if the dog turns around in the back of the basket or sits right in the corner. So you really need to keep both hands firmly on the handlebars, otherwise, you’ll end up in the ditch—and my dog only weighs 13 kilos. I think for a heavier dog, it’s definitely better to go for a trailer instead. But otherwise, it’s truly a fantastic, huge luxury basket. I did line it with a blanket, though, as there are some pretty sharp edges on the wicker at the sides, and the dog could actually get hurt.

Mount
If it's that bad, it should be offered at a cheaper price.
Just deliver it with a bracket straight away.
I bought the handlebar basket, and this mount is useless because it doesn't fit any men's bike of today's standard.
I'll probably send it back.
I attached the basket with metal straps—it works great. And it's quick to do, unlike the mount, which was awful.

Dog basket holder luggage rack
A tip for those criticising the mount (they're basically right): Remove the mount and attach the basket directly to the luggage rack using 2-3 larger cable ties (cheap)!
